+ 1 moreContractor (Llorens Construction) used by Lowes could not keep supervisory personnel on the job. I really had to monitor and demand correction for things that should never have passed a supervisor's inspection. Several times I gave up and fixed them myself. I contracted in June 2014 and what should have taken 2 months took almost 10 months! Mix-ups with permits, discontinued appliances, paint on my furniture and missing cabinet doors. Lowes personnel gave me a lot of lip service, but in the end I just had to wait it out. Since I paid up front using Lowe's credit, I had no leverage at all. Will never use them again! For what it is worth - Diamond Cabinets - Excellent quality and features for the price.
Description of Work: New kitchen installed, cabinets, appliances, entire interior of house repainted and some minor structural changes.

+ -1 moreI had a plumber who came from Lowe’s. If you purchase a product like toilets or something from them, you can get an installation service along with that. Everything was good but the Lowe’s subcontractor they used. The person who came was quick, efficient and very thorough. He explained the process of what he was doing because I wanted to know exactly how they installed products and stuff like that. He took the time to talk to me about what he was doing. He made sure it was cleaned up afterwards and everything was taken out. It was all very good.
Description of Work: I bought a toilet from Lowe’s and they did the installation right.

+ 0 moreBottom line, during purchase and during the problems most personnel were very helpful, but the lack of communication on orders was very frustrating and time consuming. While we will continue to purchase small items at Lowes, we are very unlikely to deal with them regarding any major needs.
Description of Work: I have used Lowes for a number of years with success, but this particular time it was like another store. We recently relocated and remodeled the house. We special ordered mirrored closet doors. Since we did not live in the house yet, our contractor was taking care of the installation. All was arranged by phone for pick up which did not go well, with some unhelpful personnel who forgot to give the contractor part of the order. When we arrived we noticed the doors had major blemishes and returned them. The personnel were very helpful and I placed the reorder, or so I thought. In the meantime, we ordered a new fridge. We received a call that our item was ready for pick up. Since the fridge was supposed to be delivered we assumed it was the reordered doors. After a LOT of looking, they realized that they had called about the fridge and that the door had actually never been reordered, and that the delivery for the fridge was not scheduled.

+ 0 moreI ordered it months ago and I think the price was under $2000 for the whole thing including the installation. The installation was great, but the store messed up three times. They sent me the wrong doors twice. It wasn’t till the third time when they had the right doors. The plantation shutters were fine and there wasn’t a bit of problem. The installation of the patio door was good and the subcontractor was very good. Their responsiveness was reasonable. The punctuality of the installer was fine. The installer contacted the store and followed up every time. They did finally get it right. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Lowe’s installed some new patio doors for me about two weeks ago. They have also installed plantation shutters.

+ -1 moreThis company sold something to me that I did not request. The quality of the doors was shoddy and the installer did not know what he was doing. I had them come back four times to try and correct the work, and had the store manager out once to point out the problems in the job. The door is coming apart and they will not replace it, they will only glue it back together. They took all day the first time and even with four return visits, the work is still not done right.
Description of Work: They replaced the double doors in the front of my house, removing the old doors. The doors that they installed were wooden doors with decorative glass. The work took all day, plus an additional 8 hours were spent during four return visits to correct the work.

+ -1 moreWe had Lowe's install a bathroom counter top in the past and was very pleased with that result. When we decided to have the kitchen counter replaced, we went to the store and got exactly what we wanted.
Description of Work: Lowe's came out and measured the kitchen countertop, ordered the material and came back and installed the countertop.
