LOUIE'S FENCE REPAIR

Its been a few years, and the actual date escapes me, but as I recall the work was done satisfactorily but believe there was a problem with the estimated repair date and the actual. Not a major problem, but if someone says I will be there Monday, then that is what I expect.

Louie was unprofessional from the start and I should have noticed it. Originally came out for a quote for a residential fence project. Never gave me a written estimate.... Only verbal, but he was the best price by 500.00. Regardless, after the original quote and a week of phone tag sessions I tried to schedule a time for the work to commence and that's where the real problems began.Louie was supposed to come out on a Monday to confirm everything and get started.... Monday rolled around and no Louie and no phone call. Tuesday morning I called to find out what happened and straight to voicemail in which I told him that I can find someone else to do the work and I needed to get the project started. Once again, no call back. Late Tuesday afternoon I called one last time and left another VM letting Louie know I would be recording this negative experience on Angies list and within 1 minute a text came through saying, and quot; too busy to do the work find someone else .. Thank you .and quot; I texted back how unprofessional he was and I could have had this done in all the time I spent chasing him down! Do not waste your time on Louie! He will not respect it!

louie was very nice on the phone, however he did not call back as he said he would, causing me to waste a whole afternoon, very unproffessional behaviour, my time is valuable.

I called and scheduled an appointment - he was very professional and polite on the phone. The appointment was for 8am on Sat May 15th. At 8:30am I called as nobody called or showed up. He sounded as if he were sleeping and said "...I am running behind..." I asked him when he'd be there. He said "...I can be there at 11:00..." At 11:30, I called again as nobody called or showed up again. This time I received his VM and left a message saying that if I didn't get a return call I would be going back on Angie's List to give this rating. He never called or showed. I have told 3 of my neighbors of this experience as well. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Louie's fence did a great job. He even worked over the weekend to get the job completed. Very good construction on replaced section and much improved over original work on repaired section. He made constructive suggestions and improvements. Timely in response to call for estimate and getting work completed. I would definitely recommend Louie's Fence.

We had attempted to band-aid this fence ourselves without success. Obtained two bids from Angie's List providers. Louie's evals on the list were good and his price was in the range of what we were prepared to pay. He and his crew did a nice job and we are quite pleased.

Took some time as I had to pull the permit and the permit process is slow, especially when you make a mistake like I did. However, once the permit was pulled, construction started and completed in a prompt time frame.

His estimate was 30% lower than the next lowest estimate, but he showed up on time with all of his supplies. He even accommodated us without delay when we changed our minds about how best to modify the fence. He was through in 2 days as promised, and he threw in the painting (although I gave him a generous tip for it nonetheless). He's very humble, honest and professional, and I would recommend him highly.

His estimate was about half of the other estimates I received. He's very reasonably priced. He knows his trade. He was very friendly and accommodating.
