This company Lou Jezdimir Roofing had performed work at my residence on April 12 & 13th 2012. This job started as a preventative measure to get my roof in ?good standing order? prior to selling my house. hoping to avoid any negative feedback from buyers inspection(s). There were no leaks at this time I hired Mr. Jezdimir, only a pocket of water in-between the concrete poured roof and roofing material. The initial intention was to pitch two areas that pocketed rain water into nearby roof drains. It was Mr. Jezdimir (the Owner) whom said he can accomplish this and suggested patching other areas and coating the entire roof with TNT (white). Reluctantly I agreed with the entire job and/or suggestions by Lou. Only one day after the job was complete, it rained and my roof pocketed water in the repaired areas. The rain water was still collected in the exact areas of concern? I informed Mr. Jezdimir by leaving multiple voice mails and forwarded pictures, he then sent his guy back out one week later and supposedly re-repaired the sloping. On April 20th, I complained of 3 small roof leaks as well as the lingering water issue, which has now found it's way underneath the repaired areas. I left many voicemails, emails and texts asking about work warranty, but ever since Mr. Jezdimir collected the balance of $ 7,000 he never returned to fix or honor his work ! Fast forward to May 8th , I received an offer on my house and the buyers roof inspector revealed that my roof (roof report avail on request) needed $ 20,000.00 of repairs. This is only 14 days after repairs, painting and patching). I left Mr. Zedimir voicemails and sent 2 emails with attached report warranting his work in writing in order to provide a comfort level for the ?Buyers?. At this point he was ignoring all correspondence, (ie texts, pictures and emails). I even had my attorney send a letter demanding that Lou Jezdimir roofing honors there warranty of 30 days per our contract? My last conversation with Lou was like this.: I don't like the way you talk to me and "we're busy" and I have "family issues". My house never sold. I thought of filing in civil court per my attorney yet would chase away any future buyers.

Description of Work: Mr. Jezdimir installed the shingle roofing prior to the purchase of our home. He worked for us on three occasions: first, to close an open permit on the roof from the former owners ( $300); second, to repair two leaking areas in the ceiling of our enclosed 13' x 7' sunroom ($325); third, to repair the continuing leak in one of the same areas our sunroom ($275). For the porch leaks, Mr. Jezdimir assured me that two small, soffit areas were the cause of the leaks. He claimed to have alot of experience with our style of home and was certain they were the source of the leaks. He did not physically go up on the roof--he made this determination from our driveway. I asked if he was certain without inspection that this was the cause. He responded that he had so much experience with this roof style he was sure of the cause, but would make it right if not. The repair was made May 14, 2010, shortly before we left for the summer. When I returned in October I found leaks again in one of the same areas with heavy rains. I called Mr. Jezdimir, explaining the water was still leaking in the same spot, and asked him to evaluate and resolve the continuing leak. It was several weeks before he could make time to come by and when he did so, he looked at the ceiling of the sunroom but again did not go up on the roof. He indicated he would have one of the fellows come by to fix the problem. I was surprised when I received a bill for $275 for the second repair as I felt it was unfinished business from the first repair. I called Mr. Jezdimir to talk about it, explaining that I was willing to pay for his efforts but felt this charge seemed excessive. As is my custom and nature, I spoke to him in an even-handed and respectful manner, and I was surprized to find him argumentative, hostile and completely unwilling to make any concessions in his billing. He maintained that although the leak was in the same area, there was a different cause (deck nails backing up through the shingles). I paid the bill, but felt ripped off. Subsequently I had two different roofers come by to inspect the roof. They found NO evidence of the repair of deck nails backing out and instead found that the source of the leaks was from the improper installation on the porch deck of the returns on the bottom of the valley draining the water from the main roof. This was part of Mr. Jezdimir's original work in the new roof installation. Both roofers felt Mr. Jezdimir's repair charges were inappropriate. A final note: I just recently came across a home inspection report (2002) from a certified home inspector. This is for the roof installed by Lou Jezdimir. Under the Roof Covering section the inspector states. "Shingle roof covering only about four years old but has several areas where it has been patched...Tiles are still soft and pliable--I believe this roof covering is a victim of shoddy workmanship."
