I called and spoke to someone at the office who took some general information as to what we were looking for. She explained that typically most bathroom remodels start around $20k and increase from there depending on size of the bathroom, what we are having done, etc and that she would have one of the owners give me a call to discuss and schedule to come out. A week later, the same person called me and stated that she spoke to the owner and they wanted to make sure we understood that bathroom remodels cost upward of $20k and they wanted to ensure that our budget could accommodate that before the owner actually called me. I confirmed again that I understood that and we were in the process of getting multiple bids and I wanted an estimate from as they are a local family owned company and we are business owners as well. I never heard back from anyone. We are now in the process of reviewing our final designs with another company to start remodeling after the holidays. We decided to go with Fresh Floors, Kitchen and Bath and they have been wonderful so far. Our master bathroom remodel is $45K alone not to mention the other 2 bathrooms we are having done as well so needless to say, Kitchen Designs and More lost out due to their lack of professionalism and general response back as they were obviously hesitant to 'waste their time' without making sure someone was prepared to spend what they considered the right amount of money.

am planning to remodel my kitchen and visited the showroom twice. The first was on Dec. 21st and the second on Jan 4th. On the second visit I was accompanied by two friends.- the second time with two friends. Nora, Elliot's wife helped and we spoke at length with both her and Elliot. After looking at various woods and cabinets, I decided to bring home two sample doors. At first, I agreed to bring them back the following Monday, since the store would be closed over the weekend. Then Elliot and I had a conversation and decided, instead, that he would come to my house on Monday to measure my kitchen for an estimate and take the samples back with him at that time. With my friends standing there, Elliot discussed possible times. He said he was available at noon and four o'clock. I asked him if he could come any later, because I would like my husband to be there to meet him. He then said he would come at five o'clock and immediately amended that to five thirty, which he said would be better for him. I said that was fine, and he got up to say goodbye to all of us. On Monday five thirty came and went and he didn't show up or call. I waited until six oclock and called the store. The person answering the phone said Elliot was done for the day and was gone. I told him that we had a five thirty appointment and he said he would try to reach Elliot. and would call me back if he could reach him. When he didn't return my call, I called back again and was told that Elliot was and quot;stuck somewhere elseand quot; and would call in the morning to reschedule. His wife, Nora called me the next day and first told me that they had left a message on my phone. When I told her there was no message on either my home or cell phone, she switched gears and told me that her notes read that I was supposed to return the cabinets myself on that day She said that there must have been a miscommunication and wanted to reschedule. I reiterated the conversation about the various times Elliot said he'd be available to come to my house, and told her that my friends were part of the conversation and that there was no misunderstanding. She then asked me to return the cabinets and I told her I would and she said and quot;Thank you,and quot; and slammed dowen the phone. Elliot called me the next day, saying that he has been doing this for thirty years and he is not some bum who doesn't show up. He said there had been some misunderstanding about whether and quot;I was supposed to be there or he was supposed to be here,and quot; and he asked me to reschedule. I told him I was no longer comfortable using his company. I again reiterated the entire conversation and also told him that this was actually the second time I had a problem. The first time I was in the store I asked him if he would be open Dec 24th. He said he would not be there but another gentleman would be. I said I had to check with my husband, but we would try to come in. On December 24th, I called early in the afternoon to check how late they'd be open, and there was a recording stating that week's schedule and saying that they were closed that entire day. Elliot then asked for assurance that I would bring the cabinets back, which, of course I will do. There was no hint of feeling badly that the appointment was broken and no word of apology. If Elliot or his wife had just said that Elliot forgot to write it on his calendar or something like that I would have gladly rescheduled, but there was this arrogance, rudeness and insistance that I was the one who had erred. It's unfortunate, because once we complete the kitchen we are palanning to remodel tow bathrooms. They seemed completely uninterested in our business.
