We hired Joe Cole Plumbing to replace our 12-year-old 80 gallon electric water heater. We went with a 80 gallon Rheem hybrid that Joe Cole Plumbing had to order for us. Joe Cole Plumbing installed the new hybrid water heater within two days of it arriving from the manufacturer. The install went smoothly and they took away our old water heater. We love the new hybrid water heater. After about six days of usage, we are averaging under 3kWh per day for heating the new 80 gallon tank (at 130 degrees) with the side benefit of the heat pump discharging cool air that cools our garage. Ask for Johnny when you call. We obtained other estimates and Johnny was very fair with his pricing.

Believe the reviews! Joe Cole is not an ethical or thoughtful person! First off I would like to say our plumber did a great job. It was no fault of his own. When it was time to pay I was asked to sign a blank invoice. I asked our plumber how much to pay and he said I had to call the office. I passed the phone to the man that did the work and he wrote "$325" with no explanation. I was surprised because when I called I was quoted as mentioned in other posts, $119 for the first hour and $85/hour following that. He was at my house for 2 hours. So when I called the office back to get more information the person told me he was at my house for 3 hours. I said to her that she is mistaken which is when she transferred me to Joe and things rapidly went downhill. I simply asked him for a breakdown of my bill. Why is it $150 more than I expected? He told me there was a $75 travel charge and the rest was parts, putty and a strainer. I informed him that these extra charges were never mentioned to me when I booked the service. He agreed to take $75 - still making me pay for the most expensive putty and strainer in the world but he told me he would no longer do business with me and for me to "Lose his number." Well Joe....the good news is I would never do business with you again because of the way I was treated. He admitted that he does lots of work in my building and that it is an expensive place to live. So Joe, is that why you thought you could charge me $150 more than you originally quoted??? Again I would like to say my plumber did great work thought. He saved the day and I would have happily paid more if you gave me a good reason and weren't so rude!

Joe Cole Plumbing failed to perform the agreed upon work of leak detection, thereby overlooking a second leak. After repairing one leak they failed to recommend that the area needed to be dried, and closed up the wall with no active drying. They then threatened to take me to court over an added-on bill after they had been paid in full. And, the leak was not repaired properly and we had to have another plumber fix the rubber sleeve that they put on, because it was leaking a few months later. They charged us $2400.00 for initial repair and then after that was paid in full, sent another bill and when we disputed it they threatened to sue us. What a nightmare experience. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Who needs additional problems and rip off prices, for sloppy work.

I called for a shower clog. Alice, my initial point of contact, quoted me $119 for the service call including the first hour of labor. However, I was handed a bill for $164 by Johnny. When I questioned the charge, Johnny, tells me that every piece of equipment he used is an additional charge. Not once was this information given to me prior to the repair, even by Alice's admission when I called again complaining about the price difference. When I talked to the owner, Joe, he was very rude and unprofessional. According to Joe, I should have known that plumbing equipment is extra. So I guess the first hour of labor includes the plumber's bare hands only. What a joke! What a way to rip consumers off. Be upfront with your information and pricing. And to make matters worse, when I told Joe I would not use the company again or refer to anyone, he replied that he did not need customers like me.

BE AWARE!! DO NOT CALL My wife and I had the worst experience dealing with this vendor, Joe Cole Plumbing. It is frightening to know that it wasn't even one of their employees, but actually the owner who is responsible for this interaction, and clearly shows that he has no concern with doing business the right way, in any sense of the word. This man took advantage of us and traumatized my wife by pressuring her when our backs were up against the wall. He uses the distress of his customers who are in dire need of service to extort money out of them by the most deplorable means.

$730 to basically change the wax ring/seal on one toilet. Smoke test needed to be done to find the problem. I have no problem paying for the test & his time, although I don't understand why I have to pay $250 for a machine that he owns & have to pay for 2 people to come (when one of them just stands there & does nothing). An absolute ripoff.

The worst! Don't use them! I have lived in the same home for 33 years. I have never had any service company that I complained about on-line ever! We called because of water around our guest bathroom toilet. They came out, replaced several parts. Still had water around the toilet the next day. They came out again. Ended up with a cracked tank, possibly from over tightening, possible not. They shut off the valve to the toilet. We still are still getting water all around the toilet. Four towels get soaked in 5 hours. I called the owner and I got no resolution. Horrible customer service. He said that my wife was hostile and obviously he was not going to make us happy. All-in-all, I suggest that you stay away from this company. Don't use!!!!!

My mother hired Joe Cole to replace our water heater. Joe Cole and his workers came out to complete the work, but did not provide the proper permits for the water heater they replaced. They were very rude and unprofessional. When my mother called him to ask about the permits, he stated he would do so for an extra fee. He did not complete the job completely, and wanted to get more money out of my mother for the job.

I received the invoice about 3 weeks later for $119. I understand that it reflects their minimum charge. I was not advised that the minimum charge was $119. When I asked the approximate cost would be I was not given a price but only told that the prices vary based on the size and scope of the job. I called and spoke with Joey on 10/17/14 and asked if they would consider reducing the cost by any amount to be more in line with the services rendered. He sounded hopeful that something could be done and said he had to speak with Joe and would call me back shortly. I did not hear back from him so I called again on 10/22/14 and spoke with Nicholas. Before I could finish speaking Nicholas cut me off and said the prices are what they are and there would be no adjustment. When I recounted my conversation with Joey to him, he advised me that Joey only said that because he is non-confrontational. Nicholas then placed me on hold. When he returned to the line he stated exactly and quot;since the invoice is such a hardship for me, they would credit $10and quot;. I appreciated the credit but advised him that the bill is not a hardship but I believe the price far exceeds the services rendered. I considered his response to be an insult. My goal was to see how responsive Joe Cole Plumbing is to their customer's concerns. First Joey did not do what he said he was going to do. Secondly, Nicholas was very rude over the phone, continually spoke over me and later insulted me. I am currently looking for a reliable plumber for a bathroom remodel. I will definitely not use them, nor will I recommend their services.

Arrived home after an extended vacation at the beginning of the long 4th of July weekend at about 6PM. I always turn off the water if we are away more than a week. Upon return I saw that the supply valve had snapped off at the base. So no water whatsoever to the house. This is a heavy duty brass valve that has to be soldered onto a copper line ((not a do it yourself project) I immediately consulted AL and looked for a plumber in my area that I prayed was not already closed for the weekend. Joe Cole picked up the phone although obviously after business hours. I got lucky. He immediately jumped on the the phone to dispatch a technician, who came out that evening. It was not an uncomplicated repair and he ended up working after dark. I can't say enough about this company. My wife and I were already looking for a hotel.

They were completely knowledgeable on everything. Gave great suggestions that will save me money. They saved me a lot of money and I would recommend them to everybody. I love this company.

I have used Joe Cole before and am always pleased with his work and his willingness to be flexible.

I called Cole's Plumbing because I am new to the area and found the listing on Angie's. I recently purchased a home in Weston, and several of the faucets outside are not working (hose leaks when attempting to screw it on to the faucet). I set up the visit and explained that I would like to have someone look at the situation and advise me of the repair options and possibly repair at the time of the visit since I was taking time from work to be there. The visit was set up for later that week. The company called prior to the visit as expected and the plumber showed up on time. He seemed to be coming from other work as he was slightly disheveled and breathing hard. He asked me what the problem was even though I had explained the problem on the phone prior to the visit. The plumber walked around the house to look at the faucets and then went inside to look at the master tub faucet that is leaking very slightly. He advised me that he would take pictures of the faucet and work up an estimate to replace all of them without suggesting any other possible solution. After he left (within 15 minutes of arriving), I followed someone's suggestion to clean the paint off the outside faucets with a brush and try a hose again. The solution worked fine and I don't have to have faucets replaced for now. The replacement estimate was for more than $600 and they would have to break into the stucco to replace those outdoor faucets. I was looking for some more conservative approach to the repair and thought I would have some consultation during the plumber's visit. About a week after receiving the estimate, they sent me a bill for a service call when I had requested an estimate. It appeared from the Angie's listing that they offered a free estimate but that apparently was deceptive or misleading. I spoke with the owner after receiving a bill for a service call and complained about this lack of professionalism and was told that this is standard in the industry. I have worked with many professional contractors and know that service varies greatly and this was not good service at all and it appears to be an unethical business practice. I have posted many positive reviews on this site.

I called at 11 AM, the plumber did not show up until 4:30 PM. He was supposed to call when he was on his way, but did not. The people I spoke with at the office (Nicholas) were very friendly, but the plumber was not. Overall he completed the job, although it was a very basic and simple problem to fix. Also, he took 3 different calls while he was at my house, which was included in the time I was billed for. UPDATE: I had a new, unrelated problem about a month after this one. I called them on a Saturday morning and left a message; their greeting indicated that they would be getting back with me as soon as possible. I did not receive that return call until the following Monday! .

They did an excellent job. They were very responsive. They came right out immediately and did everything that they said they were going to do.

Called Joe Cole Plumbing at 6:45am and phone was answered by the owner Joe Cole. Explained the issue and Joe had someone on-site by 7:30am. Work was completed by 10:00am. Plumber who came out to the house was professional, explained the issue, and fixed the problem. This type of prompt service is very hard to find in South Florida. I will be using this contractor again.

Joe Cole has been amazing. They are an awesome company. We had several different things that needed to be fixed and we've had a lot of people look at it and they were the first guys that were able to fix it. It feels like they are a small company. They know what's going on. You can call and say that this guy was on my house yesterday and he says this and that and he will send another guy because that guy couldn't make it or whatever. It was very fluid. Everyone was on the same page over there. Everyone knew what everyone else is doing and they were very well connected as a team. They are great. They are definitely one of the best plumbing companies I've ever seen.

I called and spoke with Nick who guided me thru the process on the telephone and saved me money. He helped me immensely !

It went well, I gave a very detailed review of this plumbing company over a year ago and I just don't have the time to write it again. They were fantastic. I would used them again.

They came on time, they did the work and were reasonable. They did perfect work because the problem is fixed and there have been no problems since. They were professional and they are the only plumbers I would use.

I would hire this company again in the future.

Personable, professional service. Obvious that he was experienced and knowledgable. All repairs are fine after two weeks. Fair price for all the work accomplished, plus the new water heater. I will use them again.

They were wonderful. They came out right away. They stated they could install plastic pipes into the walls to make the appropriate repair. This made the most sense compared to other estimates I had received. I even clarified that the price would not change no matter what problems arise. They stated the price would not increase and it might even be cheaper than the original quote. The job was really expensive and not to mention the high water bill from the broken pipe. However, they could not have been nicer and allowed me to pay them in two different payments.

I found Joe Cole Plumbing from a comment another Angie's list member posted while reviewing another company. At the time Joe Cole was not reviewed on Angie's List. The comment was positive so I took a chance. I called and spoke to Nick, he was polite, understood my needs and luckily there was someone finishing a job in my area so I was able to get a plumber the same day. The gentleman showed up within the time frame given, surveyed the job, found my relief pipe and went to work. I needed major repairs, I had been told before. What impressed me about this company is that they did not set out to sell me these repairs, I felt no pressure as I had felt with previous companies to have to job done and quot;or my house would explodeand quot; :). They merely let me know that I needed these repairs and should consider them when getting the job done. Note that I still had the original cast iron pipes from 1946 and that they were clogged in parts and broken in others so dirt was also coming in from the ground. When the job was finished and I pulled out my credit card, I was told on the phone that Joe Cole trusted his customers and would send me a bill within 10 days? I even insisted on paying right away, this had never happened before but was told not to worry. I was worried I didn't know what to expect. The bill eventually came and was within the range I was given. Not only that, I had do do some other major repairs to my old house in the meantime and they worked with me on getting paid. No one does business like that anymore. They are first on my list if I ever need anything done again, not only because they do good work but because they are good, honest folks who know how to treat their customers.
