Description of Work: Hired plumber for slab leak detection he showed up and flushed a few toilets ( which I had told him where recently replaced and had been already checked for leaks with neg results via color strips, as well as all faucets), I asked him to check for obstructed flow ib kitchen ( which I already had checked on top ( water outlet for obstruction - neg) |The plumber overall was in the house for 20 min and then told me that the leak detection was beyond his scope. Although when I had made the appoitment I was assured they had all the appropriate equipment. I gave him his check for $90 and as he was leaving he asked me who I would consult next. I mentioned American Leak Detectors. he assured me they were a qualified company and left. A few minutes later he knocked at the door at asked me if I had already called The other company because he had contacted another plumbing company on my behalf ( I was loosing about 200 gal of water per hour) and they were available the next day for leak detection for a flat rate of $300/ hour ( Terry's plumbing). I agreed to that service and without checking for reputation relying on JML went ahead with Terry's plumbing. Terry's plumbing was a complete Nightmare ( they never actually pinpointed the leak but rather did a complete line shut down, as a temporary fix without ever giving me a quote for a permanent fic. in the end the permanent fix almost equals the temporary fix forcing me to pay twice for the repair of which neither is covered by insurance. turns out the water damage that had occurred before the fix is - but neither of these repairs. Terry's plumbing ( the plumber that initially came to do the work) over billed by leaving twice during the pipe repair to pick up valves (Home Depot is around the corner/ should be on a truck) but kept their clock running at a $100/hour plus material charge 2 valves 2 valves at $200) |Their repair quote original first quote was inadequate almost) |double industry standard ( compared to other quotes I received) at $3800 vs $2200-2400 (from other plumbing contractors) |I dont't know how much commission JML receives from Terry's Plumbing for the referrals but considering getting aid for showing up at performing NO REPAIRS/SERVICE $90/20min is a complete ripoff

Customer purchased 1 hour of labor deal.Spent most of the hour trying to identify what type of shower valve was installed. Took pictures and sent them to several plumbing supply stores and they could not identify it! I informed the customer that I couldn't fix the valve. Gave him the option of changing out the old valve and installing a new one using a repair plate so no tile would have to be replaced. I gave him the price upfront and he agreed! I spent the hour he paid for trying to identify the valve so I could try to fix it. My time is valvable and just because I wasn't physically working on the valve I was still working. There are certain jobs that I have set flat rate pricing on and this was one of them. I know what my competitors are charging for the same service and I am reasonably priced and below others. Also if the customer was not happy why does he wait almost 6 months to complain on Angie's List and try and trash my reputation and the reputation of my company!! I gave the customer upfront pricing for the work performed after the old valve couldn't be fixed. When I left the job the new valve was in place and working fine. Nothing was ever said about the price. And to give the grade of an F is not fair when I was upfront with all my pricing! I give this customer an F for his inaccurate comments left to try and trash my company!!!

Upon removing the toilet to replace the wax seal several roaches came from under the toilet base. These likely came from the sewer line and due to the wax seal being damaged we're living under the toilet. I screamed as I saw them start running all over. He quickly sprang to the rescue and barricaded the bathroom killing and cleaning up the bugs. God bless him! After spending 30 mins with the bug disaster he expertly replaced the damaged wax seal doubling it to ensure the same problem would not reoccur. He then secured the toilet and replaced the water line and valve supplying water to the toilet. He also fixed the flow of water into the tank which was running very slow and he grouted around the toilet base. Very professionally. He then cleaned everything up as if new! I believe he went way over and above the call of duty to assist in the bug disaster I highly recommend this plumber!

It went well. He got off another job early and called me, so he came to me earlier. I liked that. I thought I only had time for 2 repairs; he was quick and completed a 3rd repair. He was personable and explained things clearly.

Jeff came over to replace a leaky outdoor faucet. He then came inside to do an inspection of the rest of our plumbing. As he was testing turning off a stop valve under the sink it came off and water went everywhere. He replaced all the angle stops under the sink as they were not very good. He worked efficiently and did a good job. I would use him again.

I have been a licensed real estate agent for over 20 years and have seen many professionals come and go, but I assure you JML Plumbing will not let you down. I have been with using JML Plumbing for over 5 years and can honestly say I have not been disappointed.
Description of Work: I had a foul odor coming from my dishwasher that started about three weeks ago I called J.M.L.Plumbing and explained my problem to Jeff.He made an appointment for the next day. On the way over, he called me to make sure someone would be home, and explained to me it may be a broken pipe. At that point I became concerned. Jeff arrived and after a thorough going over, it turned out to be just a loose fitting!! He installed a clamp, and tightened the P trap and the problem was GONE!! Jeff was nice enough to install a under counter water filter I had purchased somewhere else, and included it in the service call price!!!
