We called Jerry and at first he was not able to schedule us for 2 weeks but then called back within the hour and was able to fit us in that day. He arrived promptly and completed the work needed. We were very satisfied.

Second time I called Jerry out for help. I needed help ASAP to fix my fence where my dog tore off the gate lock, and although he usually doesn't work on Saturdays, he offered to fit me in since he knew it was an emergency. Luckily, his appointment the next day actually cancelled on him, so he gave me a call, willing to come over right away to fix everything. Knowing my issues and worries about my escape artist of a dog, we talked through different methods of 'proofing' it so he wouldn't be able to dig or push or chew the gate open, and he was very creative! We went to one of the big box stores, where we picked up some more wood to fortify the fence and a new lock for him to install. He ended up screwing pavers to the wooden fence at the bottom, so my dog wouldn't be able to scratch or dig at it. He also installed more wood to cover up more of the fence so my dog wouldn't be able to even see out to the street, and he screwed in additional pieces across the bottom of the gate door to further discourage scratching/pushing/digging. Unfortunately, due to the short notice, I couldn't leave work for that long, but Jerry was great about it - I went back to work, and he just kept working till he was done. He even drove to meet me at my work place to pick up the check afterwards, and followed up with me via phone later that night. Love working with Jerry, and will definitely call him again for future projects!

Jerry had an appointment for 9:00 am. He arrived before 9:00 and asked what I need done. I showed him the microwave I needed installed, the cupboard door I need fixed, the mirror to be installed in the bedroom and the name plate for above the door. After survey what was needed he went to home depot and picked up some additional items. He came back and began working. Jerry did an excellent job on all items. I will definitely call him back again.

My dog with separation anxiety tore into the wall, door, and underneath the door (to the carpeted hallway) of my bedroom. As a single girl who moved here recently without family or anyone with know-how, and without any knowledge of how much these things should cost or how long these jobs would take, finding somebody trustworthy to fix the damage was really stressful by myself (I'd heard of horror stories people taken advantage of, and over-charged like crazy). But the same day I emailed Jerry, he left me a message to set up the appointment. And even though the appointment happened to be when we were going through a tropical storm, he still showed up! Everything was done in a professional manner - as soon as he got here, he came in and looked at the damage and told me exactly what he was going to do. We had a little field trip to Home Depot, where he had me pick out the threshold piece and, again, explained to me each part of the process. He was hardworking, didn't take any breaks, kept me updated on his process, and made sure I was happy with each step. He did a great job, and after he finished he didn't even charge me for the last half hour, rounding his time down! It was wonderful to work with Jerry, and I will DEFINITELY be calling him for any future repairs, and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

I talked to Jerry on Aug. 10th. He explained that he was busy but would accommodate me on Aug. 20th. Jerry called the night before to confirm and the next morning to reconfirm. He arrived on time, and accessed the job. He left but returned briefly with a helper who was personable and efficient. Jerry kept me informed as he contintued to work and when he finished he encouraged me to look over his performance and approve it. I did and it was an excellent job well done. Jerry was a gentleman, friendly, dependable and knows the field of repairs. I intend to have him return to repair some indoor wood paneling that has been damaged by water. I highly recommend him. As an added gift, he boarded up a hole in a fence so my dog could not escape. (She is an escape (diva) artist.

Home Repairs by Jerry was very good. He was a good worker. He was clean. He kept good time. He was on time. I am going to use him again.

Jerry happened to have a cancellation which enabled him to fit me in his schedule the same day. When he arrived, he assesed the situation and installed the new door jambs quickly and efficiently. When the new door jambs would not accomodate the screws for the remote garage door opener, Jerry drilled holes in the concrete. This is just one reason it's a good idea to call a professional.

Super nice guy and very trustworthy. I gave him the key to my house while I was at work and he got the job done in less than expected time. It was my first time using Jerry but would definitely use him again.

Superb experience. We were getting our empty apartment ready to rent out and needed a few cosmetic fixes. We let Jerry into our empty condo, gave him money up font, and left him there alone to make the repairs. When we came back later, everything was done cleanly and worked perfectly. He was pleasant, efficient, and great at what he does. Definitely would call him again.

This was the first time I used Jerry and will continue to use him every time I can. He was extremely professional, walked me through everything that he needed to do so that I would understand the work to be done, was extremely curteous and did a terrific, clean job. He assisted us with painting an area of our home damaged by a roof leak. Due to his help we were able to get the work done faster than we could have on our own. He was able to repair the lights attached to a ceiling fan which we had been unable to successfully install ourselves.

His work is excellent and his prices are great. I couldn't be more pleased with Jerry and the quality of the work he performed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jerry to anyone looking for quality work.

I called Jerry about installing a window A/C unit into a bedroom window on Friday. We made an appointment for the next morning, so I purchased the A/C unit that evening. The next day Jerry arrived on time, looked at the window, drove to Home Depot to purchase the supplies, and installed the unit. The whole job took around 3 hours. Jerry seemed very nice and professional and I plan to call him again in the future.

Went very well. Jerry showed up a little late but he said he'd been on the phone with an out of town client. He got right to work and even helped to fill two panty hose legs with sand to act as sandbags in front of the sliding glass doors to keep rain from leaking in. Job went smoothly and Jerry had the good sense to not tell me he could fix something he couldn't : To see if the leak can be fixed, he suggested I have a sliding glass door specialist look at it.

Will definitely use him again. Very trustworthy and professional.

Very poor response. Do not call this man or you will get the same treatment if he doesn't think he will earn enough.

Jerry is a professional, kind, hard-working handyman. He returned my phone calls promptly, arrived punctually (and called if there was any delay due to weather), and did several jobs for me in my home. He deftly installed a ceiling fan, changed the water filter on my fridge, switched out several light bulbs in ceiling fixtures, re-shelved my hurricane shutters, and miraculously fixed the seal around my front door. He will be returning at another time to install a light fixture outside my front door, and I am very relieved to have found such a competent, professional handyman. I highly recommend Jerry Covington. He is an all-around good guy.

I found Jerry on Angie's list, I called the number and explained to Jerry that I was looking for someone to paint some gutters. I explained to him that the gutters will be installed on Thursday and I would like the painter to come out on Friday as my HOA needs the gutters painted the same color of the house. Jerry told me he would check his schedule and call me back because he was not at home. Jerry called me back later that day and told me he would be at my home by 9:30 on Friday. Thursday, Jerry called me back to confirm that we were set for Friday morning. Jerry arrived promptly and did a great job. I would definitely hire Jerry for any job I have around the house.

Jerry managed to fit me in on a busy weekend to get my gate fixed to meet a deadline. He was very responsive and was willing to come the next day (Saturday). When he couldn't get away from a scheduled job he came first thing Sunday morning and had the work done in less than 2 hours. He was very nice and professional and did a good job. The gate will not come loose anytime soon. Thanks Jerry for being willing to work with my crazy schedule and doing a great job.

Everything went very smoothly. The job was finished in one day and the cost came in under what I had budgeted for it.

It was frustrating work and really tricky getting the door back on the track (after having removed the stopper to get it off and then replacing the stopper. I needed to help support the door from time to time. But Jerry knew what he was doing and had the tools he needed.

I needed a lot of repairs and did not want to go thru the phone book. I called Richard Gushta first and he was not available. He gave me Jerry's number and he has been working for me ever since. Jobs completed: power washing, roof repair, fence repair. Everything looks great.
