!After reading several reviews I was going to use Jerry for a variety of things. First was to paint the inside of my apartment before all the handyman duties I needed. After all day at work I came home to him only being done with the master bedroom & bath which I thought he would have gotten a lot further. I pointed out some areas where he missed. The next day looking it over I saw many more areas that I will need to touch up myself. He made excuses saying after being in the room all day your eyes go a bit crazy. He said the walls really soaked up the paint. When the "professional" painters came over today they even agreed it was a bad job. I might even have it repainted. Jerry did seem to be an honest man. He told me about how much work he had so I think he might be a bit overworked. I didn't use him for his handyman skills as I originally wanted to but I would not recommend him for the painting skills at all. Before I decided I wouldn't use him he told me he can finish the work with someone else to make it faster & he would call me in the morning. He didn't call back for another 4 days. Which was fine because I already decided not to use him for more painting. This is the first provider I used through Angie's List and I'm quite disappointed.

Jerry was honest and professional, and did great job. He was right on time, and went straight to work after looking at my jobs and prioritizing them. All of the work was done perfectly without taking any shortcuts. I've had several handy men do work for me, but Jerry is by far the most professional and fair. I highly recommend him and am already planning a few new projects for him.

Went off without a hitch! Jerry was prompt, friendly, and did a fantastic job! And I was in bind because I had company arriving the next day and he fit me in!

We talked about some projects I had and he was really helpful I think he and I spoke for a half our. I didn't have time to schedule with him I was busy getting ready for a trip and he is busy as well ( I good testimonial to his work). I will call him in the near future.

Jerry did a terrific job! He is very polite and doesn't waste time and is thoroughly professional. This is the third time that I have used him and I am completely satisfied. He is very kind and is completely capable at everything that he does. I highly recommend him to anybody. His rates are very reasonable and we plan on using him in the future.

Jerry completed a large project for me and I was completely satisfied with his work. Jerry made a commitment on the days he would be at my house and completed the job on time and within budget. A few unexpected challenges with the project came up and Jerry came up with solutions to over come them. I highly recommend Jerry and plan to use his services again in the very near future. Great guy to work with and a good sense of humor too.

Jerry did an amazing job. He is very "handy" , did an excellent job and worked my small job around his schedule. It was complete within a coiple days after calling and completed the work in less thsn an hour.

Very responsive. Came after a full day of work somewhere else, because my detectors were buzzing. Polite and nice to work with. I would definitely use him again.

1. Raised ceiling in closet - OK 2. Enclosing new storage area which included laying plywood across exiting steel beams & cutting 2 pieces of plywood to secure the space. Wood had an opening of 2"at top and on sides. I mentioned that i wanted the spaced to be secured was told that was the best he could do. I took it out and had somebody else reconstruct the 2 pieces of plywood with no openings. 3. Installation of electrical light switch for closet light - I noticed that the bathroom adjoining wall's drywall was protruding out at a seam. I was told it was probably due to the banging of installing something... Anyway, the helper slapped on some tape & drywall mud. - Come to find out the electrical box was too big. When the box was pulled out the drywall metal strip behind the box was destroyed due to trying to force the box into the too small opening. I am going to have an electrician look at the installation & replace the box. 4. Foyer ceiling - old piece of drywall was replaced & he caulked the lines of the cut. - I had the popcorn removed and properly repaired. I originally was told Jerry would need a helper for 1/2 day. He ended up working a helper both days. $45/hr is a high price, but with the helper it was $60/hr. It makes me sad to say the workmanship was not good & I am really disappointed since I felt that Angie's List would be a great place to find good folks.

I needed to patch 4 holes in my ceiling after removing pocket lighting. Jerry was able match the existing knockdown ceiling texture pretty well. It took about 2 hours to complete. Then, I mentioned that I was having some issues with lighting in my living room and he offered to take a look at it. He diagnosed the issue and was able to fix it right away. I was very happy with Jerry's work and will definitely use him again in the future if the need arises. I would also highly recommend his services. The only hiccup during the process was within the last 5 minutes of Jerry being at my house...by complete accident he hit his head against my chandelier (which I do all the time) and broke 2 of the glass orbs. He felt so bad and ran to the lighting store nearby to try to purchase replacement orbs. Unfortunately, the store did not sell this particular item and we eventually had to order a whole new chandelier. Jerry took responsibility right away and paid for the new chandelier. This really impressed me and made me feel like I made the right decision in hiring Jerry in the first place.

He hit a snag finding studs in the wall but was very professional and came up with an alternate means of hanging the shelf. It turned out to be a very successful work around.

He was extremely professional, well mannered, considerate and knew what he was doing. He was pleasant to work with.

Jerry did a very thorough job and was able to come the same day that I called.

I wanted him to replace the molding and the casing when he replaced the door. He told me to go to Home Depot and get some wood. I was paying him by the hour. He drove up to my door in a huge truck and he didn't bring wood. He then left my home with my front door removed. When I asked what he was going to do while I went to get wood, he said he was going to think about how he was going to do the work. He knew before he got there that he was going to need wood. His opening line to me when I opened the door was, "Can I use your bathroom or shall I use a tree." He didn't make a good impression and I didn't pay him anything. He didn't know how many screws were needed to pass inspection. And he didn't know that the door frame wouldn't pass inspection. He was totally inept.

My impression of Jerry is that he is very conscious about cost. If a repair wasn't needed or he thought there would be a cheaper alternative he would often recommend it. For example I wanted to replace my garbage disposal and Jerry initially thought it just needed a cleaning and asked for ice to clean it and said it wasn't really necessary to replace it. (We did find out later that the blades had broken off so we do need to replace it). I wanted replace a noisy bathroom exhaust fan and he suggested that it should just be cleaned as it would require drywall work it didn't make sense to spend $300 to install a $80 fan. One of the things that impressed most was the amount of effort he took to put the cabinet door back properly and whilst resealing the door he took the time require to remove the entry lock and put it back properly (something a previous locksmith didn't really bother doing right) If you do decide to hire him do try to buy the material ahead of time as time spent buying it is billed. He is also very much in demand and you would probably have to schedule him two weeks in advance. I had initially schedule him for two days but there was a lady that called him a few times that day and I decided that since he probably only had a few hrs of work for the second day that he try to work with that lady. You also have to be pretty clear about what you want, sometimes being too cost conscious has it drawbacks. Eg I've since decided to replace the bathroom fan anyway. I had also bought some Mildew proof caulk which he was worried was silicon base and suggested I use a cheaper version. At that time I told him to do what he thought was best. It does look like some of it building back up and I will have to clean it again (it's an allergy-asthma trigger for me).

Jerry was great. I emailed him through Angie list what I needed down and he got back to me promptly. We made an appt for him to come and do what I needed. When he got here he was on time and when looking at one of the jobs he suggested something else that worked out great and saved me money. I found a handyman I can use and would recommend to anyone. I will def use Jerry again when anything comes up.

We had some worn cabinet doors and drawers panels that needed replacing. We got the doors and panels from the original manufacturer under warranty and I tried to do the work myself. It proved to be much more difficult than I expected! I called Jerry and he came along. He completed the job in 4 hours and did a really professional job.

He was the only guy who works his trade. He knew what he was doing. He did an excellent job.

He was only here for two and a half hours. He comes on time, and he does what I request him to do. He cleans up; no mess is left afterward or anything like that. I found him on Angie's List, and he was one of the first ones on the list at the time when I first used him.
