EVANS BROTHERS PAINTING & ROOF RESTORATION

The job went fine I was very satisfied. The painting crew was on time. Did a comprehensive prep job before the actual painting began. When the work was completed I was completely satisfied.

After Evans Brothers did this job and only applied two coats (which took them 3.5 hours) and we paid them $2,600, Evans Brothers gave us an invoice with "2 Year Warranty" handwritten on it with an expiration date of exactly two years out. They pulled a fast one by not informing us of their limited warranty until after they had our money! Their invoice said that they appled R-200 sealer and NOT the R 400, as noted in the brochure they gave us to secure our job. As we neared Evans Brothers' 2 year expiration date, we called the manufacturer whose name, address, and phone number are listed on the brochure that Evans Brothers handed us. I told the woman who answered the phone at the product's manufacturere of the discrepancies between the sales pitch we got from Evans Brothers about the long-lasting durability of this product and the brochure we received versus the greatly reduced expiration date as well as the R200 noted on our invoice. The manufacturer advised me that many roofers "thin out the product with water and other substances so it has a shorter life". I read the woman what Evans Brothers wrote on our receipt. She said that they should have applied FOUR coats of R400 and used paper. The manufacturer said they have no control over this.We can only assume that this is what Evans Brothers did in order to get repeat business from us two years later. We took a look at our roof at the two year "expiration date" and, sure enough, it needed another coat. Very calculated on Evans Brothers part! I called Jim Evans and he amazingly disputed everything the manufacturer told me as far as how long the product should last, their recommendation to apply four coats, and to use paper. He was very indignant and wanted another $1,000 to come and reapply the product. We ended up doing our own research and bought a very similar elastrometric product from Home Depot for $68 and applied in ourselves. Therefore, our evaluation of Evans Brothers is that they lack honesty. They used a "bait and switch" tactic to land our business, used a lesser quality product, did not follow the manufacturer's recommendations, and we strongly suspect that they thinned out the product so that it would only last two years. BUYER BEWARE WITH EVANS BROTHERS!

EXCELLENT ~ Very professional, accomidating on times & a great job. Cleaned up, you'd never know they were here.

Jim came out and provided a written estimate the same day I spoke with him. Jim scheduled the work to begin just as promised. My exterior house and all surrounding concrete was pressure cleaned. All the fallen paint chips were picked up, and there was a lot. The following day the house was prepped for painting. The next day the house was painted, and all the concrete was painted the following day. Evans Brothers did a SUPERIOR JOB from start to finish! The quality of their work is very, very impressive. Anyone who needs their house painted would be a fool not to use them. Thanks guys! :)

It went excellent. They did good work and even did paint repair around a leak spot. They painted our interior hallway as well. They did an excellent job with paint and timing. I would recommend them. They are very good to deal with and have wonderful customer service. This is our second time working with them, and probably not our last. We would refer them to others.

Owner came out survey home and returned two days later with estimate and approximate start date (based on finishing their current job). Crew came out in a timely manner, pressured layers and layers of paint of the walls, cleaned sidewalks and patio, tore off and replaced facia boards, repaired and patched stucco, caulked where necessary, applied a sealer and two coats of acrylic latex paint to facia boards, shutters, awning, back door, garage door, and trim. Owner recommended a company to install new gutters and then came back to paint them. They did a good job cleaning up and I am very satisfied with their work. I asked them to come back and seal-coat a patio roof that was leaking. The roof has not leaked since that repair. I would definitely use them again.

I had a leak in my Florida Room. The company that did my re-roof in 2006 is out of business. Evans was recommended to me by a guy from work. They were very professional and helpful. We had a little trouble getting our schedules together but if Tom couldn't make it he CALLED! That is unheard of in South Florida. They fixed my leak and repainted my driveway. No mess when I got home. He even came the next day to take up the stakes and rope blocking the driveway. Would definitely use this company again.

They do a great job and are very honest. I have used them several times in the past and will continue to do so in the future. I feel that they are honest and let me know when I need another coating for the tile roof or what type of repairs are needed.

I called Evans Paint and Roofing to him them give me an estimate for a roof cleaning, roof sealing, and repair of soffit and facia board. I was told by Jim Evans that he would be in my neighborhood around 10:30 AM and would drop around 11:00 or so to give me an estimate. I waited until 1:00 before calling to ask if he were coming and got a voice mail. He called backed at 1:15 and ask if he had said he would be here at 11 and I replied yes. He would be here in 45 minutes. Almost an hour and a half later he drives up, no apologies for being late or having me waste the morning waiting for him. But he seemed like a nice guy so I just took him around the house pointing out the problem areas and then he said he would go up on the roof. He got his ladder and asked where there was a good access point . I showed him where every painter, roofer, gutter repairman, inspector, myself, previous owners had accessed the roof safely for the last 50 years. He put his ladder there and said it would not be safe to climb up there. I said fine, use any access point you like anywhere around the house. He said he would need to come back another day with a two story ladder, (I had told him I had a two story house), and walked back to his truck. After wasting the most part of my day waiting for him, I told him as he got in his truck to not bother returning. I would use one of the other contractors (all of which accessed the roof from that same place with no problem or concerns). Don't bother with this guy. He will just waste your time.

The job was beautifully done, and I just couldn't have been more satisified. Way to go, Jim!

They were good. I will grade them A across the board. Their prices were a little high. They were very professional.

Jim Evans and his crew are exceptional. Very professional and provide nice quality of work. He understands the needs of the customers and provides quality service at a reasonable price. He resolved a leak on our roof and was the right person to have when pressure washing a roof so that if a problem arises, it can be solved. Exterior painting was exceptional and matter of fact someone stopped by today complementing his work which reminded me to write this review. I would work with Evans Brothers Painting and Roof Repair again in the future .

He did a good job. The price was for the roof and painting. They are nice people. I would recommend them and they were good. The price was good for what they did. They came right away when they said they would. He was a nice guy.

They were $1,000 over every estimate that I got. They took about five days to give me the estimate, while everybody else gave immediate feedback. I was a little bit disappointed in that. I just didn't use them because of the price.

Excellent. Job was done so good my neighbor immediately had their driveway done the next day.
