Eco Tech Pool Service

We plan to continue service with them for a long time. They recently merged with Uniserv but haven't seen much change.

The service turned out fine.

EcoTech is BY FAR the best pool company I have come across. The technicians were always VERY friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond with every visit. I had used some of the "$55/month" type of companies, but honestly, you get what you pay for. They hardly ever pulled the vacuum off the truck, almost never brushed the walls, and it was normal from them to be there for 5-10 minutes... TOPS. With EcoTech- completely different. They actually spent the time to thoroughly clean my pool every single week, and one time Richie even helped me take some heavy garbage to the curb!! Knowing they are a younger company, there was a kink here or there. Sometimes they came on Thursday, sometimes Friday. I was never worried they wouldn't show up, because that's what a reliable company does. They were also very good about pointing out little things I needed to do to ensure a sparkling pool- first and foremost- I wasn't running my timer long enough!! I had it running for 3 hours a day (trying to lower the electric bill), but this was one of the biggest reasons my pool would go green if it went too long without more chlorine! They also suggested the Go Chemless system when I inquired about a salt system. Turns out, salt system just turns salt into chlorine, which is what I was trying to reduce!! Now with the Go Chemless, I have a pool vac in, I add a Tri-Chlor puck once a week, and my pool is gorgeous! No longer need them for weekly service, but you better believe they will be my first call when the pool motor that is out there making noise right now finally kicks the bucket!!

I was not happy with them. They were slow in getting started and I never had the same technician. They could never tell me when they were coming and they told me I had to have a lock on the outside of my gate and I needed to give them a key to do the service. This was unreasonable as I do not have a lock on the gate. They would make excuses on why they were not showing up on time and they even missed a service and the pool had a lot of algae in it and it turned green. They did come out one time at no charge and it did get better after I called but it was very tough to schedule with them. The guy who is in charge said he had hurt his back and he was the only one in charge of scheduling in the very beginning. They made excuses for really every situation. I would not use them again. The price was only good because of the coupon, that price is not the normal cost. The representatives were polite when coming to my home.

The service was horrible. Mid-way through the service they cancelled on us and they said they were not servicing our area even though that was not the case. They were not happy with us as we told them not to reset the timer and they reset it twice even after we told them not to do it. They refunded us the portion that had not been used. This was a Groupon and it was suppose to be for two months of weekly service and they at most came three times for the work.

I would highly recommend Eco Tech Pool Service. We got a special price through the home show. They were very knowledgeable, they were on time and they were very helpful about the problems that we had with our pool. They did everything exactly the way they said they were going to.
