Mr Cary was very friendly and answered all my concerns from the beginning to the end. very easy to get in contact with and prompt. From the 9 quotes i got even though he wasn't the cheapest i had a good feeling to go with his company. I have never met anyone who is so true to his word, The shutters were completely put up within 3rd week of contract and everything would have been final but it had failed inspection by the county. I was told that this could be expected since my house has decorative moldings around all the windows and every estimate i received told me that it would be difficult and even suggested that i don't pull permits. Mr. Cary said that he will do everything right and with permits so that the job is guaranteed of quality. After failing Mr Cary continued to work with the city and go it passed. I was never worried that his company would just leave me hanging as he communicated everything with me timely. The work also took much longer and much more work then anticipated but he kept his word and did not charge me additional then the contracted price. I am very OCD and I am so glad to have used Mr. Cary's company to the work and highly recommend them.

He was wonderful, his quote was half of what anyone else quoted me, and he was willing to do a smaller job. I would highly recommend him.

Carlos came ro rhe house, was pleasant, and measured all the openings. The proposal was emailed shortly thereafter. At first, the proposal was confusing with the quote trying to match a drawing. His pricing was also a little high. I had setttled on using East Coast windows, because of their price and Chris's detailed info, and a good sales pitch to use PGT products. I went back to Carlos at D&D after East Coast reneged on their price and other aggravating issues. Carlos matched East Coast price and further explained a big advantage with Florida's Best product being a 9/16" glass versus 7/16" for PGT product. I signed with Carlos and I'm waiting for delivery and installation.

It took longer than expected for them to find a door with a connecting narrow hurricane window. At first they thought it was not available, and later found one that was. I compared to Home Depot that did not offer a narrow window and a competitor whose product was higer priced. The sales rep and his staff were helpful and nice throughout the process, wanting me to be satisfied with the end product.

Very well. Good advice on how to design them for ease, and to assure that they don't block the view to the garden. Worked well, and looks good.

Mr Hamberger (the salesman) came to my condo, measured all openings and provided multiple quotes (impact glass vs. shutters vs. motorized shutters) I also sought competing quotes. D&D's were the best for comparable product. Once I agreed to the contract terms and provided a 50% deposit, the installer made an appointment and came to the condo and remeasured all windows and openings. After all product had been manufactured and permits pulled (by D&D) all work was done over about one week. They cleaned up well after the work each day and the works was done professionally with minimal inconvenience. Final inspection was done about one to two weeks later by a city sanctioned private inspector/engineer. All permits now are marked as closed by the city of Aventura.

I have not had the work done yet.

The installers arrived at the appointed time and began removing the 2 doors which had to be replaced. They were both very thorough craftsmen and I was highly pleased with their work. The project took 1 day (9 AM to 5:15 PM) and 4 hours the next morning.

Replaced 30 year old screen porch and did excellent job. I would definately recommend them!

I am very happy that D & D Aluminum handles small jobs like mine. It was a pleasure dealing with him and the other gentleman I talked to on the phone. Carlos never called or showed up to the appointment. We rescheduled and did not show up again. I asked what happened and he said whoops, I forgot. I never got the quote, so I never bothered with it again. I figured if they can't show up for a quote then they won't show up for the work.

Carlos gave us a good price with excellent professional service. Should we decided to proceed with the job he would be our choice for the job.

We spoke with Jerry at D&D, and shared our idea for storm protection and how we Jerry recommended a very nice product for the windows, including the special window for the bathroom with an opaque treatment so you can't look in from the outside. The windows are much heavier than the home's originals, and reduce outside sound in addition to the obvious storm and energy saving benefits. The hurricane shutters (six total) were built to match the window trim, and they look very nice. This included custom-sized shutters to cover two sets of French doors between the living room and the porch, which were previously exposed and vulnerable to flying debris from storms. D&D Aluminum does their own custom work, another thing we liked about this company. The team that did the installation completed the work timely, and left no mess behind. We did find a couple pieces of broken glass under the bed later from the removal of the original windows, but I'm sure they didn't see them when they cleaned up. The finished product looks terrific, and will increase the value of the home, and make it safer. A real win-win in my book! As far as price is concerned, the work came in right about where we anticipated it would. D&D isn't a discount operation, but you get what you pay for - high quality, custom work by an experienced team, and personal service from Jerry. We're very pleased and recommend D&D Aluminum without reservation.

We just purchased our house last fall and found out that the previous owners had sold all of the shutters for the home. In January, I stopped by D&D?s showroom to take a look at their products and learn about our options. After talking w/ Cary a bit, he said he could stop by that afternoon to take a look at the house. Our windows were updated and energy efficient, but not impact. We planned on only getting aluminum shutters. Unfortunately, shuttering windows, with the stone façade, to code was proving to be a challenge. Cary?s recommendation for hurricane protecting the house, was to install impact windows on the front (stone façade), shuttering the front door, garage door, all side windows, and using Armor Screen to shutter the patio, which would protect the entire patio, as well as the French doors and kitchen window. I had never heard of Armor Screen, but was intrigued. I was determined to get a better price and find someone that would just shutter the front of the house, instead of replacing the windows, but after researching my options and having four more companies come out, I realized that Cary?s suggestions were the best way to go and he was the person that I felt the most confidence in. D&D also had the best price. Thus far, we had all of the windows on the front of the house replaced w/ impact windows, as well as the garage door, even though he did say he could shutter the garage w/o damaging the stones. For the most part, everything went smoothly, but when we did have an issue, D&D promptly came out to address it and with a smile. :) Originally, I was averse to replacing the windows because I didn?t want to deal w/ any type of construction but Cary, Brian, Hernan, Bob, Randy and Orlando are so good at their craft and have such pleasant personalities, that it was a pleasant experience having them in our home. We were planning on having D&D shutter the side windows, because I didn't want to deal w/ any more construction, but replacing the front windows went so well and was so painless, that now we're looking into having D&D replace the side windows instead of just shuttering them.

They came right out, and were very prompt. It was a very good experience. They were very nice, and we will consider using their business.

I didn't really like what they presented to me. I got the impression that I was being sold a little bit. I didn't feel confident in what they were telling me, I didn't believe them. I feel like they would say anything they could to get my business. The quote was on the low end which that's not a problem. I just didn't feel confident in the representative that came out. It was like he would say anything he could to get my business. I felt like me personally, he wasn't telling me everything. After talking to 3 people I feel like he omitted facts to try and get my business.

Company was asked to provide an estimate for hurricane accordion shutters as well as a high impact front door. The salesman not only provided a very professional estimate, but made recommendations for solving certain specific problems. He was also helpful in recommending color and door style which accented the house beautifully. We were shown their products at their show room. The salesman met us there on a Saturday, even though the show room was closed to the public on Saturdays. Punctuality was excellent. The men came out when they said they would to measure all openings. The salesman kept us informed as to the progress of the order and set up a date for installation when all was ready. Installers were punctual and all concerns were immediately addressed and dealt with.

Very prompt and professional service. We had one section of hurricane shutters with a broken wheel(s). It could not be moved from its open position. Two workers were sent to evaluate the problem and provide an estimate. They were able to schedule the job for the following week. The repair was completed quickly and the work area was left clean. They made sure that all the shutters were working properly. They took extra care to make sure newly installed floor tile was not damaged. I would definitely use this company again.

D & D is a great company. Despite this being so small a job, the communication, responsiveness, cost and quality were what you'd HOPE to get on a big job. They came up with a better hanging solution than we had originally, and the work was first rate. Everything about this company says "professional." They're first on my list to recommend.

They were very professional, and handled every aspect from soup to nuts. They were efficient and got the work done in the exact amount of time they promised. They are aslo very responsive and are willing to work with the customers on their individual needs. I would highly recommend them.

We chose not to do the project right now. He was very polite. Everything seemed fair. It went well.
