I recently had Hurriance shutters installed by D & D Alum. their price was around the other estimates I had but I felt more comfortable after talking with them. It turned out that I made the right choice. The shutters were put in timely (hopefully I never have to use them) I did have one problem with the closing of one of them and to my surprise the next day my salesman and the installer were at my home and went around to make sure everything was correct. Yes, an adjustment needed to be done but I didn't have to fight them for this. It was done the next day. I'm not use to this kind of response. Thumbs up to D & D.

Seamless from statr to finish very professional highly recommend

After some initial miscommuniction ,all shutters and panels were ordered and installed in a timely and professional manner.The installers not only were punctual but very efficient and knowledgable.After an inspectors final inspection raised a question ,the company responded immediatly to address the concern.As far as pricing,quality of material, installation and customer concern ,I would be happy to recommend to others.

Their price was fair, they were punctual, and their service was good. They were everything that I would expect from a vendor.

Cary is always a pleasure to deal with, direct, clear and prompt responses. The installers were excellent and very professional.

Everything went very well. They were installed as previously scheduled. The only problem was that they didn't count all of the openings and I had to ask for them to cover those, too. They did so without additional charge and were prompt.

Everyone was very professional. It went much better than I anticipated. It is a pretty old house and I expected there to be some problems. But, there were no problems what-so-ever. My only complaint, if one were to call it that, was there was a fair amount of time between the contract signing and when the work was started. However, I did not ask for a timetable when I signed the contract, it could have been my fault. It looks GREAT!!!

They were very nice, very professional, clean, honest, and supplied a superb product. I was sufficiently impressed with their work that when I had the money I had them finish the house. They always make sure to have everything permitted.

Very professional, from the moment I first contacted them to the date of installation. When I first contacted them, they called me back right away, provided me with an estimate almost immediately and the time frames for the installation were accurate. I honestly have no complaints, very satisfied with the service, the attention and the product. They were somewhat a bit late on the date of installation. However, to their credit, it should be noted that it was the first day of school so traffic must have been difficult. Overall this is definitely an "A" provider who I will definitely recommend.

Once the window was ordered, it took 2 weeks longer than stated for it to be delivered. However, the quality of the installation was worth the extra time. The installers were very professional; both in the installation and the clean-up. Since it was raining during the installation, they couldn't complete the job that day but another installer showed up the next day to finish it. I am very happy with the work and would recommend this company highly.

D&D Aluminum was the first of all the contractors to respond and give estimates. I received estimates from others but D&D was the lowest. Carey Tarpley was the sales manager and he kept me informed of the coordination of the engineer and the permit process through the city of Hollywood. From date of estimate of June 05, 2013 to install July 15 was the period. The work was completed the same day. I was pleased overall with the service and the price.

A year ago they installed our hurricane shutters and they turned out good. We just used them to put a pool enclosure meeting hurricane code.for our pool in the keys. Everyone who has seen it says they did an amazing job. We are delighted with its artistry. It was beautifully done.

They were excellent. I am having more windows installed by them. Their price was right and they were very fair in their pricing. They worked with me on the price. They were very professional. I felt very comfortable with them.

A representative came out the day after my call and emailed me the estimate within a day or 2 and I contracted with them on 2/25/13 with a 50% deposit. They promptly applied for the permit with the City, which took 2 weeks to process, and let me know it would be about 4 weeks for the accordions to come in. The doors and accordions were installed on 4/5/13, but the impact window took a little longer, and was installed around 6/14/13. Overall, they were very professional, showed up promptly when they said they would and did a quality job. We are very pleased.

I gave the provider a $9000+ deposit in early May to install about 24 shutters, a sliding glass door, and 2 windows. I told them I needed it done in time to get a low rate insurance before July, because my insurance was going to go up more than $8000.00 a year if I didn't have it done. They sent someone out late June for what I thought were final measurements, and I found out they hadn't even ordered the sliding glass doors yet. There was a communication error and I did not realize that they couldn't order until the installer had measured. I had an appointment for someone to come out and do something else they needed to do prior to installation on a Friday and Monica called and cancelled and rescheduled for Saturday. I sat around all day saturday calling their office and Carlos' cell phones, and no one returned by call, till I called monday afternoon. However, once I got over this, the installation was not the nightmare I expected. The owner, Cary, was fair and responsive to my concerns to make things right that sometimes go wrong with communication and human error. There are still a few things I remember bing told would be done that weren't, but by September 10 all of the accordian shutters windows and doors were installed, and inspection was passed. I thought someone with the company told me that they would put up some type of cheaper shutter for the garage and front door (which I didn't get accordians for) to get wind insurance, but I cant remember exactly who told me what when anymore, and I think the company has come through in the end and been fair and pleasant to work with. Rough start, but that happens. I would use them again.

They didn't listen to what I told them. I said I don't need impact windows because I have storm shutters. When they sent me a quote it was for twice as much as everybody else, and he claimed that was 50% off. I e-mailed him back and asked if this was for regular windows, and he told me no, it is for impact windows. When he came back with another estimate it was roughly the same as the other ones, but it didn't really seem to be 50% off when it is within $100 of all the other estimates I got. They are just regular single-pane windows. They were punctual and they guy I spoke with was professional.

From the quote to finishing the job, everything went as well as I could have ever hoped. It is so hard in South Florida finding contractors that show up when they say they will and do a quality job. I'm happy with both the quality of the doors and windows and the service. This couldn't have gone better

It went well. They were very prompt and all very nice. We had a good experience, and have nothing bad to say.

When I called I spoke with the owner and explained I wanted them to check my shutters for the season, they do installations not repairs but said they would send someone buy to look at them anyway. They called and the tech came right on time. He checked out all the shutters around the house while telling me how to service them in the future. I knew the front door was a problem and he tried to adjust them but were to far gone. He would not give me a bill for his time and said they would call. The owner called me the next day and gave me reasonable price on the new one. I accepted and they called when it was done and came out right on time again and did a great job and cleaned up. Professional installer and a professional Company. Would call them again and recommend to anyone.

Project went very well from start to finish. Field account manager and estimator Carlos came to discuss my needs and estimate the job, then met with me at the company's showroom to discuss a couple of decision points on materials and installation options. Owner Cary was extremely helpful in making me aware of some options regarding shutter latching mechanisms, and design of shutters in their accessibility and the way they open relative to my windows' construction and placement in the building. Permitting process went smoothly, and install team came when scheduled and on time. Project required 3 full days; city inspection and approval followed. I found this company through Angie's List reviews, and appreciate their thoroughness, quality and professionalism. I now have shutters that protect, are easy to operate, and get routine use as a result.

From the estimate to the final job...we are very happy with the product, quality, and customer service we received. I would use this company again if I ever needed additional impact glass or hurricane shutters.

Everything went very well from start to finish. The owner Cary was very responsive and informative throughout the entire process. The employees who performed the work were also very professional and as a courtesy even supplied and installed "black out" roller blinds in my theatre room. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs their services.

I called for an estimate and they gave me approximate over the phone. Then they came and measured, confirmed the pricing. When shutters were ready, provided necessary paperwork, installed shutters. Were always punctual and accurate.
