The company did replace the hard drive. They lost the corrupted hard drive. They claim that it may have been thrown away. I have had corrupted hard drives and have paid to have the information retrieved. CompUSA insists that this can not be with my hard drive(I had it done about 4 years ago on the same computer)but should have provided me with the option. The hard drive was replaced in early November. The hard drive has crashed again. I took the laptop to two other computer repair shops for diagnostics and I was told that the hard drive in the computer is not new and does not meet manufacturer standards(is not a model recommended by the manufacturer). These are possible reasons why the hard drive failed so soon after installation. The manager at CompUsa was new to the store on the day I went to discuss the issue(I called the store but was put on "hold" for more than 30 minutes). He assured me that the situation would be addressed and would be taken care of to my satisfaction. Five days later, he called me to say that he spoke to the service manager and the hard drive was probably thrown away because it was not good and that hard drives fail. He went on to explain that the HD was replaced in November and it is now January. This time is too long to ask them to replace the hard drive. He further explained that there was nothing he could do to help me but I could speak to the regional manager. I had spoken to the regional manager in November in regards to the missing hard drive. The regional manager and the floor manager told me that they would investigate the situation and definitely resolve the issue. They never called to discuss the issue. Every time I called the store I was put on hold for an excessive length of time and the call disconnected or I simply hung up. I would never recommend this service department to any person.

THEY HAVE REASONABLE PRODUCTS, FAIR PRICING, AND AVERAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE. OVERALL, IT'S AN AVERAGE COMPANY. THEY HAVE TOO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE RUNNING CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT SEEMS THERE IS NO REAL CARE FOR THE CUSTOMERS.

THEY WERE NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL OR KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE DIDN'T HAVE OUR COMPUTER FOR A MONTH. WE HAD TO TAKE IT BACK THREE TIMES, BECAUSE THEY MESSED WITH SOMETHING THAT THEY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO. THEY STILL DIDN'T FIX IT AND WE GOT CHARGED FOR IT.

THEY DID A TERRIBLE JOB. THEY DID NOT GET IT FIXED. IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING, THEY LOST SEVERAL FILES ON MY COMPUTER. I HAD TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX IT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
