CHAMPION AIR

In the beginning, it was okay. When they came back out, they gave me used parts. I didn't really like their service after a while. After a while, they weren't doing a good job. They should give better parts. When a customer tells you the parts failed three times, you should replace it with something different and not the same things over and over again. Their responsiveness wasn't very good.

Serviced the unit on the northside of the house which covers living room, dining room kitchen and breakfast nook. For the last 14 days since Champion Air serviced my AC unit, the temperature has been consistently at 85-86 degrees which is warmer than the air outside. This is even with the ceiling fan on a full blast, even at 11 pm. Before the work was done the room was perfectly comfortable. They say the fixed a capacitor in my AC unit after informing me that is all that needed fixing, while the other AC unit only needed Freon. Now having another company to come in to correct the situation. Would not recommend them.

They answered their phone and scheduled an appointment to come out later that day. They were on time. Jose came by and saw that the unit was frozen. We gave the unit time to thaw and he came back the next day when promised and found that a coil was bad. My AC unit was still under warranty so Champion Air handled dealing with the warranty and picked up the part then came by to install. I feel they were honest and on time. I plan to use them in the future when I have a problem.

Champion shows up when promised, does the work quickly and efficiently and their costs are reasonable. I've been working with Champion for about 10 years. They are the only ones I would call for all of my A/C needs and trust them completely. They are able to handle a small residential repair, all the way up to my 10,000 square foot building's 4 new system installation.

My wife told me the AC wasn't working properly when I came home @ 1:30.(She neglected to tell me she had been pushing buttons on the thermostat because it wasn't cool enough for her). I called Champion, told Scott the problem, and he assured me someone would be out later today. At 3pm, CC showed up and promptly went to work, checking for possible mechanical troubles. After about a half-hour of testing, he focused on the thermostat, which turned out to be the issue. Very personable and knowledgeable, CC told me to call back if any problems came up. Very satisfied.

My AC was freezing up and it was leaking. I saw that Champion Air had 17 reviews (all A's) so I thought I couldn't go wrong with them. I called them mid-morning and left a message on their answering machine. After about an hour and a half I hadn't heard from them and called someone else. But the other company would try to squeeze me in at the end of the day so I called Champion back. This time I spoke to someone and was told that they could be at my house at about 3:00. Unfortunately they never showed up or called to say they couldn't make it. So I guess I was the one potential customer they let slip through the cracks.

He was on time, friendly, worked quickly and efficiently, provided helpful advice, all around good experience.

I found them on Angie's List. They were very good. They didn’t waste any time, and there were no problems. They didn’t try to sell me anything, which is a big point to me. They showed up on time, and they were polite. They didn’t say I have to replace this; they said everything was fine. They were very good on price. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They were excellent. He was fantastic. He repaired the drain lines. He answers all the calls. He calls back. His prices were very reasonable. He is very fair. He did an excellent job. I would use him again in the future.

We have 3 zones in this house. The A/C in our bedroom made a noise then would not turn on. We called Scott and as usual had someone out within a few hours. "CC" came out again said it was a bad breaker in the attic unit. Already had a breaker in the garage so he just bypassed it. System working again perfectly. Once again, these guys are terrific!

Pleasant, punctual and priced right! Everyone was professional and Scott really knew our system and how to fix the problems. We weren't pushed to buy anything we didn't need and he was very helpful in working with the manufacturer in terms of the warranty items.

These guys were awesome! Of course, our old unit went out without notice, so time was of the essence since we are in the throws of hot summer temperatures. They came out on Wednesday night after we got home from work and quoted us on a new unit. Very flexible with their time. The unit was ordered on Thursday and they were here Friday AM to install. They removed the old air handler in the attic, the compressor outside and installed the new units in one day. By Friday at 5:00 we had cool air. Very clean, efficient and the owner was onsite. You can trust these guys, they are priced fairly and reliable.

They did a great job! They even replaced the units on a Saturday. I highly reccomend them.

Excellent experience. Scott came out and resolved the problem within 30 mins. He quickly identified the capacitor was bad and replaced it with an original part with 5 year warranty. The price was reasonable as expected with A/C issues. Would definitely recommend him and use Champion Air again in the future. Hopefully not too soon :)

Timely, professional and hassle-free.

Scott sent out "CC" (Technician) who looked in the air handler and first replaced a bad circuit breaker, then some little switches, THEN came back the next day and we found out that since the A/C was disconnected the batteries in the thermostat had gone bad! These guys were terrific!!! Don't even bother looking elsewhere!

Timely and performed installation In the estimated time period. Discrepancies after installation were taken care of. No questions asked. Home is nice and cool. Clean up was good.

We were told by a Service company with which we have an annual contract that there was a leak in the coil of our A/C unit. They had given us an estimate to replace the unit and we wanted a "second opinion". We called Scott from Champion Air who came out the next morning. His estimate for the replacement unit was much lower. Plus he observed several other conditions related to the A/C that needed attention, and his price included fixing those things as well. But Scott also noticed that it appeared we might have a clogged drain. He explained to my husband how to clear it. After my husband took the suggested steps, the A/C started working just fine. So we avoided getting a replacement A/C unit -- at least for now -- and there was no charge. Scott was completely honest, thorough, responsive, and professional. When we're ready to replace either or both of our A/C units, we will call Scott at Champion Air.

This is the third or fourth time over the years that we've used Champion Aire. Scott runs an excellent business. He always responds quickly. This is someone you can deal with with confidence.

Just purchased this home and the inspector had mentioned my AC ws not operating to it's best capacity. Called Champion Air afetr reading the reviews on Angie's list. The technican inspected my AC and found everything to be in wroking order( It's an old system that will need to be replaced at some point). I apprecaite the honest and professionalism in dealing with the technican. Many companies would try to sell you a new system- even if yours is working. I did not expect to pay a fee for the inspection, that's why I rated price as a "b". But it was still worth the money.

Scott was extremely professional, helpful, and timely. When I called for a quote, he was at my house within hours, and was back to do all of the work with his team, including installing the new unit, that Saturday. His team was also very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

Showed up on time to provide accurate estimate. Explained proposal well including all applicable rebates. Completed work on time and in a professional manner at the agreed cost. Helped with rebate documentation and registration. Came by a week or so later to fix a minor indirect problem - within a few hours of calling and at no charge.

The main A/C unit in our house stopped working (just blew air) the thing outside wasn't working. I liked the reports for Champion air so I called them in the morning and left a message. Scott called back within 1 hour and said he would be out in an hour and a half! He and another gentleman arrived on the dot. They pushed this little red button on the east side of the outside unit (5 ton) and then he gave the fan a push with a stick. The thing started up. Then they tested a 'capacitor' inside and said it was bad. They did have a replacement. they said without a good capacitor there it would likely continue flipping that circuit breaker. He said also that I should HOSE off the inside of the radiator in the unit and the outside to make unit run better. I also noted that a pan on our air handler was leaking a bit - he said to replace the plastic pan in the air handler would be $250 - he said whole thing slides out and wouldn't be a problem. Or said when ready they can replace the whole 5 ton system in and out unit for about $3500 (includes rebates etc..) These guys were, fast, honest and knew their stuff and provided reasonable estimates for future work. As far as I'm concerned ... all my future A/C business and Commercial A/C business is his (if he wants it). Amazing.
