Overall, it was a good experience. Had some hang-ups with the permit time frame. It took almost 10 days to get a permit approved upon making initial payment. Communication error about waiting for an impact door to be installed or not. Great choice of tile. Jeff was very helpful with tile selection/quality and giving me the estimate. Budget Tiles subcontracts to local tile installers but promised they were very good. Removal was ok - but would have preferred them to use plastic covers to keep dust off of furniture/kitchen areas. We have a furnished condo so it was time consuming to move furniture/boxes around in order to start laying tile. Tile install was ok - could have been better. Only 1 guy to lay tile, with an extra guy to remove old thin set/mix new thin set and clean up. When project was getting closer to finishing, then an extra person was brought in to help out. There are areas that adjoining tiles are not level, which is noticeable - but once the thin set dried and we noticed it, it was too late to do anything about it. The other negative comment was the layout of the tile imprint design. There are numerous areas where the same tile design was used instead of mixing the design up better. Spoke with installer about mixing it up better but whatever came out of the box was layed down as it was pulled. Tile looks great in the condo unit and we received complements from our neighbors. Installers and assistance were very professional and courteous.
