Bluewater Pool Remodeling/Repair & Leak Detection

What a pleasure to work with this company! Brian and everyone I've interfaced with on his team has has demonstrated the utmost professionalism. All schedule dates and committments were met. The price was fair and the quality of the work was excellent and there were no surprise charges at the end of the job as is seen all too often. A leak in the system that is proving to be particularly challenging that was not identified and fixed during the resurfacing work is receiving the same high level of professionalism for resolution. In summary- I would recommend these guys without hesitation!

I had my pool refinished a little over a year ago, included in the agreement was a used light and a new pump. The pool was complete and the new pump was installed, however they didn’t have the light for me yet. They asked for payment in full with the promise they would come back and install the light once they had one for me. I trusted them due to their commitment to come back and there temperament throughout the process. I was told a few months ago that Kevin finally had found a light for me and he promised he would install it soon. Well it’s been several months now and still no pool light. After a lot of broken promises I gave up asking “when they were coming to install the new light”. I now have an issue with the new pump they installed. I was told by another pool company that the bearings are bad and I need a new motor for the pump. I know it is a little over a year and the warrantee is up but thought I would reach out to them to see if they could help since they installed it with the pool redo. After several unanswered phone calls, texts and emails I have gotten no responses from them and based on their previous track record of broken promises I doubt I will hear from them again. It is very sad because they started out super nice and responsive and now not even a return call to at least tell me they cannot help me. Poor customer service.

Called yesterday to install heater after a series of questions Brian the owner gave me the price over the phone we made an agreement for today , he showed up right on time and 2hrs later my pool is heating , highly recommend these guys .

I called Blue Water Pools on a Wednesday afternoon, gave them the info on what I needed and my pump was replaced and up and running in about 24 hours. Brian was on time, and extremely professional. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, and left the work area spotless! I'd definitely use them again and recommend them for any repair or remodel job. Thanks!

This was the second company I talked to about the job. i made it clear that i was not interested in a luxury job - just wanted it to look good. Kevin was very personable and included removal of my screen patio enclosure and two clamshell shutters at no addl charge. They started work the day after recvng my deposit and the majority of the work was done in 2 weeks. There were some rain delays and it took awhile for the removal of debris, pool light repair and some other minor adjustments. Overall I am very happy with the job - it looks great and I recommended them to two friends who are having work done. They responded promptly to all calls and texts.

My pool needed resurfacing several months ago and as such I contacted approximately 6 to 7 pool resurfacing companies in the area. Actually Blue Water Pools was the 2nd contractor I had come out yet I still checked out about 4 to 5 more companies. I finally decided to concentrate on Blue water and had them out one more time to discuss the finish and final cost. After the second go around with them I was positive they were the company I wanted to go with and I have not regretted it since. The gentleman I talked to about the finish my wife and I were looking at was extremely knowledgeable and not only did not try to oversell me but actually “cooled my heals” and recommended a finish, one that I was interested in, that cost me far less. Then the work started, crews were on my house like clockwork, performed their specialty, cleaned up and left. The pool was complete in one week and when I reached out to Blue Water to get additional information on maintenance of the pool they took the calls and guided me thru the process. I would not only us them again but would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that comes to my house and says “What a beautiful pool, who did it!”.

I called for a quote. Kevin came out the next day and said they could start the beginning of the following week. The work began on Monday and on that Friday, my wife and I were enjoying the pool again. Kevin went above and beyond making sure all of the leaks were repaired and hooking us up with some very nice travertine tile to replace the waterfall from the spa into the pool.

Disappointed by follow up service. Did not provide letter for local water company which had been promised at signing of contract. I followed up 8 times over 8 weeks. Each time promised letter would be emailed or delivered. Each time they failed to deliver. Result over $230 water bill versus a normal $75 bill. Lesson they will do the service until they get paid. Then the service stops.

Kevin and all of the people who worked on the pool were great. They were very nice and came each day as scheduled. We had gotten a few estimates, and this was the best price. We went for the Hawaiian Blue color, and they suggested a glass blue tile for the steps and bench. The pool came out absolutely beautiful. The Hawaiian Blue color makes such a difference- it really pops!! They did an awesome job, and we couldn't be happier.

Kevin provided a comprehensive estimate, explained the renovation, and advised us on our options in finishes, prices, and durability. Blue Water Pools was able to complete the project for half the price of the next lowest bid we received for the project for the same scope of work and with better warranties than some. The project commenced 3 business days after we chose the company and was completed by the end of the week. Everyone that worked on the pool was polite, prompt, and professional and left the work area clean and in good condition at the end of each work day. The quality of the renovation is exceptional and we would hire Blue Water Pools again in an instant.

WOW! This company is the real deal. My entire project was completed in a week. When Kevin said something would be done, it was done. Alex & crew were professional and really tidy. They left no signs of being there. We are very happy with the quality of the work and service provided and would recommend this company without hesitation. We can now enjoy our pool again...no more itchy fiberglass!

The entire process went very well. Brian and his workers were very polite and professional. Brian went out of his way to fix several items that were not part of the scope of the project. Pricing was good.

Blue Water did everything that they were hired to do. On time, organized and professional. They arrived each day on time and worked until the task was completed. As promised the entire job was completed in three to four days. They even filled in two holes in our deck tht were left from removing an old ladder. No extra charge. Brian and his staff were great to work with and we would hire them again. We have already recommended to tow other friends and will continue to do so.

I recently purchased a home with a pool needing resurfacing. The tile around the top of the pool was discolored/stained as was the grout, but because of competing interests around the home I chose not to replace the tile, which beyond the staining was otherwise ok. Kevin from Blue Water Pools told me that they could, along with the resurfacing, clean up the tile and re-grout. He didn’t try to upsell me, and I was told it would look better. The date was scheduled. All of the men were very timely and exceptionally nice. The prep and resurfacing seemed quite reasonably done. There was a problem with the re-grouting, and when I called and spoke with Brian, he was very attentive to my concerns and fair. Brian, Kevin and their people truly bent over backwards to make it right immediately and it is. They did a wonderful job, and I’m thrilled with the outcome. Kevin told me that if I changed my mind about tiling that they could re-tile at a later date without having to re-surface the whole pool. Further, I was told the resurfacing has a 10 year warranty (requires regular brushing). I don’t see information about the warranty on the work contract, but I’m surmising that you would just call the company if you had an issue. After meeting them and experiencing their workmanship and responsiveness, I trust them. They also gave me instruction pertaining to prolonging the integrity of the pool surface, which I also found quite helpful as I’m a novice. Bottom line: Resurfacing seems very nicely done, workers are quite timely (entire job done in less than a week’s time), and all of the people are exceptionally pleasant. Blue Water Pools, in my opinion, is a professional company that stands by their work, cares about any concern you may have, and gets it done at a very reasonable price.

It had been 12 years since we had our pool and deck resurfaced, so we called several companies to provide us with a clear picture of what this project was going to cost us. Of the six estimates we got, Blue Water Pools came in the least expensive. Sometimes going cheaper can result in getting lower quality materials and workmanship; however, after meeting Brian, the owner, we realized we were dealing with a hard-working professional who knew his business well and had competent crews in his employ. His assistants, Alex and Kevin, were very knowledgeable and responded promptly whenever we had questions. We have already and will continue to recommend Blue Water Pools to anyone who is looking for a quality job at a reasonable price.

Brian and Alex were both really great to work with. They were easy to get a hold of, and I couldn't be happier with the work. Recently, I was at a friend's high rise condominium with a roof top pool, which had recently, within the last few months, resurfaced with a similar product. I was impressed at how much more even and smooth the finish on by my pool was than in the high rise condo's pool. 

All went well and the job was completed early.

Initially, the process went smooth. They came out and drained the pool, then did the acid wash and then the tiling. The final day was when the diamond brite was applied. Everything looked very nice. Once the job was complete there was a leak in the pool, they came out a week later and repaired it.

The bottom line is I absolutely love my pool and could not be happier. The marcite had started to deteriorate after 9yrs.,and I needed to have the pool resurfaced. I contacted Angie's List and got the name of three contractors. After getting 3 estimates, I decided on the one that I wanted to hire. Six weeks later I contacted them to schedule the job. In that six week period the contractor increased the price by $600 and was dropped from Angie's List. I decided to change contractors and went on Angie's List, again, to see what I could find. I did a search, and saw a coupon for a complete resurfacing job by Blue Water Pools and decided to call. I talked with Brian who asked me some questions, and based on those questions and his answers, I knew that he was very experienced and highly knowledgeable. I was convinced he knew how and what had to be done to do a good job. He offered to come out and give me an estimate, but because I believed he knew what he was doing, and, especially since I had an Angie's List coupon which determined the price, an estimate was not necessary. I decided to hire him. I then went to the BBB checked on him and found that his company (Blue Water Pool Products) has an A+ rating with the BBB. I called him back to set the date to start the job. The job took three days. The first day they drained the pool, the second they arrived when they said they would and removed all the loose marcite. They also applied a bonding material so that the new surface would have a firm foundation. The third day, again, they arrived on time, and applied the Florida Gemstone Foundation. They then cleaned up the job site and started to refill my pool. They showed me how to brush down the pool and how to take care of it until the following week when they would come back and adjust the chemicals. One month of pool maintenance was included in the coupon and they have provided that service consistently and completely to my satisfaction. Brian has been readily accessible to answer questions and has exceeded my expectations in chemically balancing and maintaining the beautiful finish of my pool. He and his crew have been totally professional and very reliable in all the work they have done, and have guaranteed the workmanship and materials for 10 yrs. As I have said before, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and the outcome of the pool. I highly recommend him and his company for any resurfacing job you might need.

Bluewater Pools did an awesome job! They were quick to contact me and come out for a assessment with quote. Of the 3 vendors, they had the best price and were the only ones who respected our wishes to not deal with the patio surface this year and did not push for replacement of the pool edge (coping?). Alex was punctional to come out to take a look, even in the pooring rain, and arrived with a catalog of surface colors and tile choices - he is the only vendor that did this. I contacted them on a Saturday to initiate our renovation, expecting to have to leave a message on an answering machine, but spoke to someone directly. Alex called us immediately after that and was out the next day, a Sunday, and sat down to go over our choices in color options and pros and cons of each with the FL sun. With tiles, he was able to identify for us that our original choice would be very expensive and that their was another tile available in the warehouse that looked pretty much the same but at a much lesser price. This was all completed on a Sunday. They started draining the pool on Monday and in 1 week we now have a BEAUTIFUL pool. During that week, Alex also brought out samples of the tiles for us to see the difference and confirm our choice. The different crews that they have for the different stages in tiling and pool resurfacing were all polite and tidy with their work and did an excellent job. Once the pool was completed, Alex came out to review all that was done and provided step by step education on what we need to do to manage our new pool for the first month. I highly recommend them and we will definitly contact them again when it is time to redo the patio surface! Give Alex a raise - he was polite, punctual, very knowledgable and helped us with our problem solving, an easy guy to work with who was quick to respond and help out with whatever questions or requests that we had! Overall, we are very happy with our end product and highly recommend this company! Bravo!
