I found it hard to believe all the good reviews for American Built-in Closets. I sent a message to Perry on a Friday, he called Saturday morning and came out to do the estimate on a Sunday! Never did receive a call back from two other companies. The estimate that Perry gave was significantly less than the other company that did call back. He was very thoughtful in what I wanted for the closts and also gave his opininon on how I could save some money as well as design ideas. He said it would take two weeks to get the closets, and it was two weeks to the day. His workers were exceptional. Being in the middle of a major renovation I feel I can say without hesitation that they have been the most proffesional and honest workers I have had in my home.

The workers were efficient and courteous, but it took me a week to clean off the products. They were covered with a thick layer of white dust. And one of the walk in closets was measured wrong and the sliding door won't close. The owner has offered to correct the issue, I have not yet decided if it is worth the mess of tearing that section out and reinstalling it.

Got the designs the day Perry came for estimates-- and they were very similar to other vendors charging twice the price. The workmanship was good, the workers quick and considerate, and I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Excellent! Perry and his staff were extremely pleasant and I am completely in LOVE with my walk-in closet. I had no clue it could look the way it does now.

Perry was great! Very responsive to my request and alterations from the original plan. He was also very patient as I first contacted him in October 2015 and told him I was researching a few other companies. I asked him to come back in January and made my decision to use his company. The installers, Jarod and Travis, were very professionals and punctual. They got the job done in 4 hours. They cleaned up after the job. The only thing they don't do is paint wherever needed, however, I can understand it would be difficult to know what color paint to carry with them. I love my new closets!!! Can't wait to organize.

Perry came to the house and suggested a design, which we thought was a wonderful idea. The installers came and were outstanding they worked quickly and did an excellent job. The closet looks amazing. We will be using them again in the future. Have no doubt USE this company. Just to clarify we did do our homework and got several estimates, no other company was as responsive, responsible and the cost was right online.

Perry was punctual and offered excellent ideas for my closet. the price quoted is very reasonable and he designed a super closet with all the little details.

Perry Birman came to our house October 9th to meet with both me and my daughter and discuss her closet. He took measurements and analyzed her needs and then sketched a diagram for her to review. She brought up several ideas and he was respectful and professional in his explanation that her ideas were not very "functional" as he wanted to make the most of her space. We both appreciated his honestly and consideration in keeping the costs as low as possible while using every inch of her closet. One week later, his workers were at our house promptly as scheduled in the morning. They were done by noon and the closet is now a dream. We were both thrilled with Perry and with his team. Will highly recommend.

I found the company to be extremely professional. Perry came to do the measurements and developed the plan for us based on the information we gave him. He helped us select door finishes, handles, etc. In addition, we also ordered a custom floor to ceiling mirror framed to match the closet, based on his recommendation. He gave us a price which we accepted and confirmed our date of installation. Now, he was not the lowest bid we received. In fact, he was the highest bid. However, this was a big project for us and we were looking at this as a value proposition. I wanted a great installation, excellent workmanship and the knowledge that I could go back to the company if there was a problem and the company would respond, so all of that is also factored into our decision-making. The installers arrived promptly and were polite and professional. They prepped the area very well, did the installation, did a great job of cleaning up and were done at day's end. When I went in to review the work, I did find some small issues and two significant issues. The mirror had not been hung properly. Our wall was not even so the installers chose to make the mirror level rather than have it match at the base which, for visual reasons, would actually make the mirror appear to be even. And, there was a major flaw in one of the finishes. I sent an email to Perry, and the installers came back to fix everything. I am a detail freak, and they were very patient about little tiny things that most may not notice, which I appreciated. They were able to completely correct the flaw in the finish on one of the closet frames, and I want to point out here that I was told if I am not completely satisfied then they would re-do, deliver and install a new piece of one of the cabinet frames until I was satisfied. The mirror was the big task, because there was a concern that the mirror would break if they tried to remove it. Pro-actively, the installers brought everything they needed to protect my wood floors from broken glass, and both Perry (via phone) and the installers advised me that if the mirror broke or was damaged in any way, they would make a new mirror and frame and re-install the piece. The great news is that the installers were so very careful doing what they did that the mirror was corrected and perfectly placed and I have an absolutely gorgeous master bedroom closet that, because of Perry's very good design, just about doubled our storage and hanging space. I really think that sometimes you learn much more about a company and it's values and principles when things do not go perfectly. What I learned is that I found an honest, reliable, trustworthy closet company that gave me exactly what I wanted. I would recommend them without hesitation and will use them again to finish my other closets. And, I found them through Angie's List.

I set an appointment for a consultation for all of my bedroom closets as well as my linen closet. Perry showed up on time and was polite and professional. He took measurements and made recommendations. Within a day he provided me with an estimate and renderings. I loved the designs and we set a date for the install. The installers showed up with my closets on the set date and installed them perfectly. My closets are nor only beautiful but very functional as well. Perry is timely professional and knows the field. The installers were on time and did a great job including very nice clean up. After the work I decided I needed a couple of hanging bars raised and left a message for Perry. Installer arrived the next day and quickly made the changes at no charge. I liked the fact that Perry did not try to sell me more than the minimal system I wanted. Got several estimates and prices was best. Highly recommend this company.

Great experience. Perry came in drew up a plan right away. We talked about what I wanted and what was in my price range. By the next week my closet was installed. Couldn't be happier.

Perry showed up to our appointment on time and prepared. We had a walk through, discussed my ideas, dilemmas and questions. On site Perry created a drawing of the designs for the bedrooms including a great design for our horrible master closet. He also provided an estimate on site and did all of this as the house was under construction and the midst of noise and dust. I called Perry a few days before the scheduled installation to let him know the hall closet needed to be added to the order. He met my husband on site the next day for measurements and again gave us a great design and great price. Installation was done in less than 8 hours and no corners were skipped. I could not be happier with Perry and his staff. When we decide to expand and include walk in closets American Built In Closets will be my first call. Worth every penny!

Perry Birman came to may house, listened to what I wanted, checked out the place, and perfectly captured my preferences and needs. He designed the closets at that time, I approved them, and he gave me a date for installation (he came on May 5 and the installation date was May 22). Two persons came to perform the work, they came early in the morning and by 3 pm they were done. They left everything as they found them, worked very well and efficiently. I found only one mistake when they left, that I attribute to the wall probably not being perfectly straight, so the shelf slightly sticks out on one of the edges in relation with the lateral structure. I didn't make a claim. The designs are very nice, very well thought, and very much in line with my needs. The walking closets and the closet look amazing, very good quality, very modern as I like them, in white melamine and with modern knobs that I got to pick the day we contracted. I had requested a quote for California Closets three years ago. The prices are very similar with the difference that this company gives you a much more complete closet, with structures coming all the way down to the floor and not cut half way, and I ended up with much more space in every closet that I would have gotten from California Closets. So... bottom line, they are not cheap, but I think they provide value for money. Would definitely recommend this company.

They did a fantastic job from point of sale to installation. Perry came out and measured the closets giving me ideas for the best possible layout. He provided me with an estimate on the spot and when I called back a week later with some concerns he came out again to make some minor changes and/or explain to me why I should not make the changes. We set up an appointment for the installer to come out which they did on the day and time they promised. The installers did a fantastic job and cleaned up after themselves afterwards. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that might want custom closets built.

Perry arrived when he said he would. He measured and showed me samples and gave me prices during the visit. I said I was seeing one other company and told him I would get back the next day. I decided to go with Perry because I had questions for both firms and Perry responded quickly. The other firm did not send a quote for two days and took another few days to answer questions. So I chose ABC before the second firm even responded. A date was chosen for installation and Jared ( who works with Perry) called that morning and was able to install 2 of the three closets. The small linen closet had been measured incorrectly and the shelves were too small so Jared said they would have to come back. The main bedroom closet and a small laundry closet were complete and looked nice. Those took about 3 hours to do. They cleaned up nicely after the work. I did find that there was a silver connector on one of the clothes racks that was falling out, and that a section of the closet that was supposed to be for long dresses was way too short. I spoke to Jared about this and he said he would fix both when he came back for the other installation. Jared did call to ask me for a day to do the remaining closet. I asked for Oct 30,31 or Nov 1. That gave them over three weeks which I though was more than enough time for something that they mis measured. Those are the only days I will be available to be there to let them in. Jared replied they could not do in until Nov 3 but I will not be available then, and that is a month away. I have written to Perry asking them to try to accommodate my schedule since this was their error and I am not in Florida full time. I have not heard back yet, but am hoping this will work out in a positive solution. I will update this write up after the final installation. Had we not had this mis-measurement glitch and the trouble finding time to get them back in I would have given them straight A's. S all things can always go wrong, it is how they are handled that is important to me. So my B's will be upgraded to A's if this gets handled well, we will see! UPDATE: Perry did call and was able to accommodate my time frame. He went out of his way to be sure to help me out. Jared returned promptly on the planned date and did a terrific job of installing the last closet and fixing the minor repair on the other one. Perry called me personally afterward to make sure everything was OK. To me, any company can make a minor mistake or something can go wrong, but I rate the firm a lot by how they respond to a problem. Perry was terrific and I would use them again in a flash. Highly recommended.

Great company. I called to get an estimate and someone came that same afternoon! We received an estimate and scheduled the services. The built in closets are great. We have been using them for about a month now and are very happy. The owner is great and is willing to work with you if you have any questions and concerns. We would recommend this company to anyone.

The service was ok I just expected a bit better quality for the price. The installers were very good.

Perry was courteous, prompt and very helpful. Spent a lot of time with my wife making sure we had our needs met. We would highly recommend as installation was exactly what we wanted and quality was excellent.

Excellent service. We had lots of work done in our new condo and they are the best . Perry is wonderful with his follow up and Jared and his partner did a great job installing the closets in our 3 bedrooms.

I gave him a deposit to do some work. He hasn’t completed the job but so far he has been extremely professional. The estimate amount is about $5000. My experience with him has been great. The owner came to do the estimate. He was very responsive and he always followed up.

Fantastic! From the moment that Perry showed up for our initial meeting until the closets were installed, everything went perfect! The price was substantially less than both other estimates I received. Punctual, tidy and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this company.
