Our roof was installed last year by Allied. I had decided that the kindest thing I could do for Allied was to say nothing. That was before what occurred on Sunday, February 10th, 2014. Imagine my surprise when on Sunday, Feb. 10th of 2014, we received a call from a gourmet cupcake company asking if we would be home that afternoon to take delivery on our "Thank You Gift" from Allied Roofing. Inside the box was a card from Allied with the Angie's List logo prominently displayed, offering me a $50.00 AMEX gift card for a positive review on Angie's List. Essentially, we were being offered a bribe to give a good review. We signed a contract with Allied on July 5th 2013. We chose them over Tigertail Roofing because the contract Allied uses more thoroughly breaks down the costs of the project and what is and is not covered. Both companies were quoting for the same product and were roughly the same in price. We were quite clear at the time that Citizens Insurance was requiring us to install a new roof or face cancellation on Sept. 14th, 2013 and that not only did we need the roof installed, we would need the necessary inspections and paperwork completed in time to send to Citizens to avoid cancellation. We were also quite clear that we wanted to be notified in advance of the start of the roof so we could make arrangements to be at home with our dogs while the roof was being worked on. This request was based on prior experience with other contractors coming on our property and how our animals reacted. July passed without a word from Allied. When I contacted our sales rep, Johnna, the first week of August, I was informed that they were waiting to hear from us in regards to an old screen porch that needed to be addressed for work to begin. I informed her that the porch was gone and they could come and start the roof. I was at home Thursday afternoon, 8/22/2013, when a delivery truck arrived unannounced and began depositing construction materials on our roof. I called Marcin, the Customer Service Rep, to find out what was going on and was informed that they had hoped to start the next day, but that it would be Monday, September 2nd, instead. Again I reminded him of the insurance deadline, and our need to be at home for our pets and the subsequent need to be kept informed. Again, I was told that our requests would be honored. On August 23rd, 2013, I received and email, requesting electronic payment of the next installment so materials could be delivered. I paid the installment and contacted Marcin, the Customer Service Rep to again state our need to meet the insurance deadline and our concern for our animals. i was assured that all would be attended to. To make a long story short: The only time I would hear from Allied is when I would receive an e-mail requesting payment, unless I initiated the contact. No attempt was made to keep is informed as to the status of the project. Work on the roof finally began on Monday August 26th, almost two months after signing the contract. Even though the entire project was not finished, work on the roof was sufficiently completed by Sept. 2nd that the paperwork for Citizens could be completed and submitted. It was at this point that Allied decided to inform me that I would need to get the required forms and send them to Allied for completion and then Allied would send them back to me to send along to Citizens. As part of this process Allied paid for a third party inspector to complete the inspection at a cost of $250.00. This expense had not been included in the original contract. I did find it odd that the price of the inspection was $250.00, since we had been having the same inspection done every two years for $150.00 by Don Myler Inspections, for the past six years . On Sept. 12th, 2013, TWO DAYS before our insurance deadline we received the paperwork back from Allied and immediately submitted it to our insurance agent. Yet to be completed was all of the work not required by the insurance company. Getting the rest of the work done was just more of the same. At one point Robert, the owner said during a phone conversation that he would come by my house the following day to meet with me and discuss the situation. The meeting was rescheduled three times by his secretary and I, because he was unable to arrive on time. We received our final invoice for the completed work on Oct.26th, 2013, almost four months after signing the initial contract. This was the day that the gutters were finally installed. I wrote the last check on Nov. 8th, 2013. I waited until they called me and offered to pick up the check. They received it the day that they called. It's going to take more than six cupcakes and a $50.00 gift card for me to write a positive review of my experience with Allied Roofing. The fact that I received this offer from Allied means every Angie's List review for Allied is questionable.

Allied Roofing and Sheet Metal made this process very easy for us. From the moment we met with the owner, Robert, we were convinced that we wanted to work with Allied Roofing and Sheet Metal. They took the time to explain in detail the process and timeline that we would be going through in order to make this roof replacement as painless as possible...and painless it was. Despite the many days of rain we experienced that summer, Allied still managed to stick to the timeline we were given. The staff that was sent to perform the work necessary to remove the old tiles and replace them with the new tiles was phenomenal. It is hard to find workers who are dedicated to their jobs, especially in this field, however, in the midst of 90 degree weather under scorching heat and sun, these dedicated workers worked like no workers I have ever seen before, and they all did it with a smile on their face. I also want to point out that Allied Roofing and Sheet Metal assigned a representative who communicated with us on a weekly basis the status and development of the job that was been performed. We dealt w/John G. as our sales person. He was great. Arrived on time, gave us a good estimate. Explained everything to us. Kept in touch w/us during the 6 week lead time that it took to get the product in place, etc. Allied's crew was professional, friendly and they cleaned up everything. We were very impressed with their work and we love our new roof. I would definitely recommend them and have recommended them. You can tell that the crew is trained in professionalism.

From the estimate all the way through the project Allied Roofing's staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. They did great quality work and cared about our property as if it was their own home. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was amazed from start to finish on how quick Allied Roofing came out to analyze and educate me on the different types of roofs , and quote my roof...From clean cut estimators to respectful and quick roofers that did not leave a mess I thought their would be. I have heard of horror stories of Roofing companies but I will and have already recommended Allied to friends and strangers alike...At a time where customers service is at an all time low, Allied Roofing really makes strides to please their clients.

My mother's 25+ year old roof had several patchwork jobs done over the years but now needed a new complete roof. I had met 2 other roofing companies in the last week for estimates and Allied was going to be the last before we went ahead with it. I was tied up at work and unable to meet the sales rep for the estimate as we had discussed. I called the sales rep Omar and he asked if he could still come by and complete the estimate since he was in the area. I usually like to be there but agreed. He later emailed me the estimate and then called me to explain the estimate and ask if I had any questions. I was happy with the estimate and felt good after reading a few positive reviews. The job started up about 10 days later thanks to a few wet days. Day one they dropped off a 10 yard dumpster. Next all of the Tile roof was removed and rotted plywood was replaced. New shingles and flashing was installed over the entire roof and the crews cleaned up. One thing that really stood out was the fact that the roofers were pretty meticulous about cleaning up after themselves. There were no nails, scrap shingles or tiles to be found around the house. They also came into the house and swept up the living room that had a vaulted open ceiling. I guess walking around up there loosened up some debris but it was cleaned up without any issue. The crews were very good, showed up when they said they would, and did not leave any hazards or mess when they were done. I highly recommend Allied Roofing for any roofing needs that you may have.

Workers showed up on time, were clean and professional. Was very satisfied with the whole process from start to finish. Everyone from John Guglielmi in the office to all the workers from Demo, to workers putting on the metal roof were experienced, attentive and friendly.

This is actually the second time we have used Allied Roofing. In May we had the roof replaced on our home and this time we used them to repair the flat roof on our patio. John Guglielmi has been our contact for both projects and is terrific. John is very friendly and professional and follows through to make sure that you are happy and that there are no issues. The gentlemen that did the work were prompt and polite and finished the project earlier than expected. We are very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing to have work done on their roof.

Whole process went better than expected. At times I didn't even realize they were there. Very professional, clean up on daily basis. Very happy with service from John Guglielmi and crews.

I called to get a quote for an impact glass skylight. They took my address and said they could look up my house on a computer program and call back with a quote. They never called back. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, the company did call back to apologize and offer to provide a quote but I had already contracted with another company.

I can?t write a better or more glowing review for this company that I found to be so very professional. If only all companies could aspire to their service, there would be no need for Angie?s List. I gave them the ultimate test. Having just purchased a home, I needed a roof in order to get insurance on my new residence, and this had to be completed in 40 days. And did I mention that I lived in Chicago and that I would be overseeing the job from 1600 miles away? From the first encounter with Johann who gave me the estimate, I was sold. She was on time for the meeting and spent a good hour and a half explaining the various install methods and options. She didn?t blink when I told her of the timetable. She said that she would personally walk it through the permit process the next day. And surprise, she did it! From than on, the work progress swiftly. I was supplied photos of the roof progress during installation. Any questions that I had were met with concern and attention by the office staff starting with Tammy, the receptionist, who was always pleasant, friendly and upbeat and Marcin, the office scheduler/manager, who was always professional. Any of my issues were handled promptly. When I needed to from the construction site manager, he was available. When I noticed a chip on one of the tiles, men came out to replace it the next day. That is service. When I had to delay the gutter installation since I needed to paint the fascia, they worked with my timetable. When the gutters needed extra support, the site manager sent pictures and sought my approval for the install. I couldn?t be more pleased with my new roof which was installed on time!

Based upon their website, it seemed to me that they had sufficient heft and they told me up front that they had Workers Comp which is something that I required. My roof is quite steep and slippery, but no one got hurt and they did a great job. The exceeded my expectations.

After having 3 companies come out for estimate, Allied Roofing was the best in price and professionalism. During the initial talk, he made me feel comfortable and showed me everything that would be done on the roof. He came across like a person who cares about his customers. The other companies that came out made me feel like they were a car salesman, making pitch after pitch without thoroughly explaining anything. Allied explained in full detail what the cost was and what was involved. They came early in the morning on time and worked on the roof all day. Overall, the project went fantastic and I am glad that I went with Allied Roofing. I highly recommend them for any roofing project.

1/4/2010 After tear off some areas of the roof deck, fascia and rafters were identified as rotten and needing replacement. In addition the roofers recommended a break in the rear slope be removed. This required a large area of the rear roof deck to be removed/replaced and the rafters built out. The additional wood charges of $930.00 were approved and the job continued. 5/17/2013 Upon preparing the exterior of my house for painting I discovered fascia board on two sides of the roof that was so rotten it needs to be replaced. Problem is the fascia board cannot be replaced now without removing the roof drip edge, roof tile and underlayment. I contacted Allied Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. and the owner Robert Borowski came out to see the fascia. He said his company was not responsible for the rotten fascia board not being replaced and my "Twelve (12) Year Roofing System Guarantee" would not cover it.

The roof of my condo was in much needed repair. Allied Roofing was one of many contractors to give us estimates. His professional approach and fair price sold the job. His performance sealed it. They showed up when they said they would, kept the property protected. Great job and a satisfied customer.

The guys were very attentive,starting with the estimate to the two great guys who did the gutters/detail work and cleanup at the end. There was alot of supervision throughout the job and guys would show up from the home office throughout the job to check on things. Materials showed up as needed. All issues that came up were dealt with and resolved fairly. I am happy with the outcome and would recommmend this company to others

It went very well. They were careful to cover things up that needed to be covered up in the warehouse, where there wasn't a secondary ceiling. We're very happy with the job that they did.

I ended up using one of the three other contractors for my recent roof repair.

Prior to selecting Allied Roofing and Sheet Metal I had requested quotes from 5 different companies. They were not the least expensive, but quality of material they offered convinced me to select them.The crew showed up right on time.They did a very good job and the quality of workmanship was very good.They ripped off old shingles and replaced the bad wood pieces on Monday, on Tuesday placed hot mop and then finished installing the shingles. They were very professional and I am very pleased with this company, will recommend them highly to anyone.

I recently used Allied Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc for Re-roofing my Dad's house and repairs on my house, both jobs were done in a timely manner and the workers very acommodating and clean. I would not hesitate using them again or recommendation them to my friends & family. It's wonderful to find a Company that you can rely on.

I decided to use Allied Roofing because they had done a neighbors home, and I was able to watch the progress on the installation. I inquired about the job, and my neighbors had highly recommended Allied. A new roof was inevitable in my near future, so I met with Robert and decided to contract with them. I had had a bad experience with a previous roofing repair, and Allied made it a point to put a temporary repair in place until my tiles were ready for delivery and installation. Overall, I was pleased with their professionalism and the workers cleaning up throughout the process. Very impressed overall, and a third neighbor just recently had their roof completed by Allied. I've received many compliments on the new roof, and will continue to recommend Allied Roofing. While I don't want to ever have to put another roof on my home in my lifetime, if it's necessary, I will be calling Allied Roofing again!

We decided to install new metal roof so we called a number of companies to compare prices.Allied Roofing sales staff was very well informed about metal roofs and they were able to answer all my questions.The entire process went smoothly. I feel confident that the job was well done. They had a big crew with 6-7 workers so the job was finished quickly. These men were very dedicated to their work, did a very professional job and cleaned up everything at the jobsite. I am well satisfied with my new roof, and it makes the home look new. Since it is installed we have received many compliments from our neighbors.

Unbelievably well. I called the company and Mr. Kostencki, the salesman, came over and looked at my roof. The quote was sent later the same day. I accepted it and they started when they agreed they could and it took a little over a week to get the job done. I have never experienced such excellent and prompt service. Simply outstanding!
