Description of Work: From the minute I contacted Allied my husband and I had nothing but positive results from this company From Ann the designer to Jim the head contractor. The staff at the showrome were wonderful, they remember your name every time you come in. When you ask them where something is located in the store they don't point to it, they take you there personally. I have never delt with workmen on a job site who cleaned up after themselves as all the employees working for allied did. Not only that it was a pleasure to have them show up every day. They arrived when they said they would and either Jim or Ann followed up on the work done every day. I was told the job would take 2 months and it was completed almost 2 months to the day. There was a great deal of work done, removing a bathtub, sink lighting, and tile on both the wall and floors. My husband and I love the final product and could not be happier.

Description of Work: I should have stopped with my initial call. The person to whom I spoke insisted several times over my objections that I visit their showroom. I was put in touch with a designer and spoke with her briefly. The designer wanted to meet when it would be convenient for her, with no thought for my convenience. (I work full time) In any case I had to cancel the first appointment and she didn't arrange an appointment for a different date.

Ann (?) the "decorator" was condescending and ignorant, and in addition, didn't listen to what I was looking for and showed me samples that didn't match my request. I then filled in a form for an estimator to contact me, haven't heard from anyone since.

+ -1 moreWe actually began with them six months before the project started but due to some personal issues, we had to delay the start. They were very patient and understanding. While in some instances I feel that more attention could have been paid to assisting us in picking out some of the accessories, we do feel that the quality of the work was excellent and their workers and subcontractors were great, especially the tile man who was a perfectionist! They are not inexpensive but we knew that ahead of time having done some research. They worked very hard to stay within our budget because we knew that the additional accessories would add up.
Description of Work: The project began as a remodeling of our master bathroom but before we were done, we remodeled our half bath/powder room too.

+ -1 moreWhile the entire process took a long time (six months - I could have built a house!) they did a superb job and it was a real pleasure working with my project manager. He oversaw the entire project and dealt directly with the subcontractors, all of whom were reliable and professional. All I had to do was pick out what I wanted. He took total control of the quality of work. I am very pleased with the result. While the cost is high, to me it was well worth the investment to have the peace of mind of a qualified professional managing the project and assuring top quality work.
Description of Work: I did a total remodeling of my kitchen, gutted and rebuilt.
