So far, so good. I am going to have them install air conditioning for me. They came in for the estimate and did the things that have to do to get the permit. They have done work for a woman who was my landlady for a time; that's where I had got their name initially. The quote was $7000. They just seemed very responsive to any questions that I had in particular because I did talk to them several times and I had questions. I was also able to get some good financing through them. They were responsive when I called them and gave me good answers. If they didn’t have an answer, they called me back, which is always important. With regard to responsiveness, I called them in the afternoon one day and they came out the next morning. Their punctuality was also good; actually I had to call them because I was going to be a little late. They waited for me for a couple of minutes.
Description of Work: All Year Cooling & Heating Inc gave me an estimate for installing all the duct work and the entire air conditioning system. I do not have whole house air conditioning.

We had new system installed, and salesman included air duct cleaning at no charge. We had scheduled the duct cleaning 4 or 5 times and each time, they were HOURS late. We wound up having to reschedule every time. Over a year since we had the unit installed, still no duct cleaning

The AC tech repaired the leak in the coil line and the owner assured me that they are ordering a new outside coil piece and will install it at no charge when it comes in. They had to remove all of the freon, repair the coil line and put back the freon. Once the actual repair began it only took about 30-40 mintues to repair. But, I first called All Year first thing Monday morning because my air coils started freezing up on me on the Friday night before. They first wanted to charge me $70.00 just to come out and find out what was wrong. So, I called another AC repairmen, who came for free and told me what needed to be done. He actually told me to call the original installer and refused to do the work because he said whoever did the install should fix it. So, I call All Year back and I had to complain in order for them to send someone at no charge. So, they sent a tech out on Wed, he came in the morning, said he would be back in the afternoon because he needed to pick up a die and some freon. Why and AC tech doesn't always have freon with them is beyond me but I waited and I waited. I started calling at 3pm and they said he was at the stop just before mine and would be here by 4:30, I called at 4:00 and he was still at the prior stop, same thing at 5pm. They called me at 6pm and said he wouldn't be here until the next morning so of course after waiting all day for his return I was livid. But, he did show up the next morning. He found the leak at quoted me a price of $420 to repair it. I called the owner and told him the whole situation from the original installation and on down. He immediately waived the fee for the repair and gave me an extension on the warranty of the whole unit. Thank you Tommy Smith, you are awesome! And I would highly recommend your company to anyone who asked.
Description of Work: The provider did the original installation 2 years ago and since then I have had to replace the compressor and now one of the copper coil lines has a leak and there is a leak in the big outside coil. They were originally going to charge me over $400 to do the repair. But, I called the owner of All Year and he waved the service costs for today and extended my warranty on the AC unit. So, I want to give two kudos, one for the owner being daring enough to put his cell number right on their website and he does answer his phone and also for taking care of the services today and extending the warranty on my unit so for that they get an A++. But, it took two visits and me being without AC for a week in June and some complaining to get that done but at least they stood by their products and services.

Their estimator came to my house and did a thorough review of the existing systems and surrounding conditions, and I received their quote the very next day. They were the lowest of six quotes I had solicited, and had a good reputation, so I gave them the job. Because the old A/C unit for the living areas no longer worked, they came less than one week after I had awarded them the job and installed the new unit, in one day. The crew was exceptionally professional and I requested that they be sent back to do the work on the unit for the bedrooms. Everything was done in two days. When the city inspectors came, only the electrical inspector found problems with the electrical work which they had done. Because the new units were the same size as the old ones, they had used the existing breakers and wiring, but they no longer met the new electrical code. All Year Cooling promptly sent their electrical crew who replaced and/or upgraded everything to meet code, at no extra cost to me. Their estimator had overlooked that item. I recommended them to a friend of mine who also received a good quote and got excellent service also. I have recently recommended them for a bigger project, which is temporarily on hold. They are very competitive.

Being new to the area I have no idea where to go for any of the work that needs to be done in my new condo so I have to rely on recommendations alone. Everyone I spoke to here in Fort Lauderdale told me to use All Year Cooling when replacing my central air system. I called to set up an inspection and Kory was on time and very friendly. I asked him for references and called every one of them. Everyone I spoke to had nothing but positive things to say about AYC. I repeatedly called Kory to ask him different concerns that popped up and he was always happy to answer my questions - and being a skeptical New Yorker, I made a pest of myself. I even called and spoke to the Owner Tommy and he was patient and willing to answer my questions. I scheduled the appointment and a team of men showed up to remove the 40 year old unit and install the new one. I also asked them to install a Nest thermostat and again, not a problem. Everyone was very professional and when the day-long job was finished, they cleaned up and left everything spotless. So, I highly recommend All Year Cooling - the price was just what I imagined it to be, the staff knowledgeable and friendly and most importantly, my condo is now cool and comfortable.

I told them to go ahead and replace one of my units, they came back one day when I wasn't home and they replaced the wrong unit, as I had two. The unit they were supposed to replace but did not ended up getting a crack and causing a flood, ruining my wood floors. They had to come back multiple times to fix the other unit, and I got different people every time. Some of the rooms were not even getting air conditioning, and my sons had to sleep in the living room because of this. I let them know this, and when they came here to fix this they messed up the duct work and it was rerouted incorrectly. They told me they couldn't tell me what year one of the units were built or what kind of work was done on it and it was the unit they just replaced a few days prior. I ended up going to court over this, and now I just have two rebuilt units, not the nice brand new one like I should have.

This company did two very good installations of whole-house units in 2000 and again in 2007; good service thereafter up until last year when in July they "no-showed" on me twice, then finally came for service call, and then in September, didn't show at all after 2 more "no-shows". Receptionist Chris (who apparently has retired) used to do a great job in coordination of service calls but her replacement was unhelpful. I had to call another company used by a neighbor and they took care of the problem(burned out fan motor on Trane variable speed air handler). I am going to need another replacement in the next year or two, and typically go for high end equipment(highest SEER available), but won't be using All-Year again.

All Year Cooling & Heating, Inc. has polite, friendly, sales, and will install the unit fast, however DO NOT pay them in full until you are satisfied. I had All Year Cooling & Heating, Inc. install two A/C units within a month, one at my residence, and one at my Grandmother's house. Trusting the company, we paid in full promptly after each install (a company's dream), that was a mistake, they do not apperciate prompt payment! It took months to finish my grandmother's A/C as it needed to have some Carpenter Finishing work and an inspection. My grandmother"s house was my main focus to finish as her closet was tore up and door was removed from the closet exposing the A/C unit to the living room during the holidays, I had to beg them for months to finish. My house had the installation done back in August of 2012, and it is now March of 2013, I still have not passed an inspection, and after several phone calls, I do not know when it will be fixed and then reinspected. Like I mentioned before, the Sales Department is great, however once they have full payment, they ignore you, I suggest that if you use this company, hold back a portion of the final payment, my guess is that they will have an inspection, and complete any issues within a week. UPDATE: I received a call from the owner the morning after this review published. Within two days after this review, all my issues were corrected, I received a Passed Inspection, my A/C is working great, and I was compensated for my hassles. The Owner followed through with phone calls to make sure that I was happy.

Scope included replacing a packaged ac unit with a split unit. From the beginning the experience was excellent. Obtained 3 quotes and they were all fairly close. However, All Year Cooling explained the process and advised on alternatives better than the other companies. Tom the owner contacted me directly to discuss the choices and was extremely pleasant to deal with. The install went as planned and included removing a old packaged unit and replacing with a split unit, relocating the condensing unit to the opposite side of the house, replacing damaged ductwork in the attic, installing New ductwork and diffuser to a bathroom and removing ductwork installed for a office that was in the garage (we just purchased the home). The workers called ahead arrived on time kept me involved in the process and cleaned up after themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend All Year Cooling to a family member or friend.

This is the worst company I ever dealt with! When the tech showed up he recognized my son. His son plays on the same baseball team. He checked the ac unit and said I needed a module and he would call his office for an estimate. He called the office and was on the phone with them for 15 minutes. He was pacing and obviously frustrated. When he came back in the house he said that they said they can't get module, i needed a whole new air handler and the repair was going to be $3650 but he suggests i get a 2nd opinion. He said I'm not going to screw people I know. When I asked what they said on the phone he went off on a 10 minute tangent! He started complaining about the owner and management and how they take advantage of people everyday. He told me that when the technitions go to someones home for a service call and they call into the office for pricing, they are actually asked what the house looks like and what type of cars are in the driveway. The more expensive the house and cars, the more expensive the estimate. He told me he was leaving the company because he couldn't do it anymore. I called Air around the clock and they replace my module for $262.00 and it has been working fine since! Stay away for All Year heating and cooling!!

I had a new AC unit installed due to the fact that my old one was leaking from condensation pipes and the drain pipe backed up too frequently - requiring me to put clorox in it. I specified that I wanted the copper lines and drain lines replaced as part of the project, and said that I would fix the drywall in the ceiling afterwards so they could have the access they need. This was a condiition of me doing the project - a main concern because the drain line was 30 years old. They replaces a/c, and I reminded him 10 times throughout the day about the drain line. I have guests coming tomorrow, and wanted to have the dry wall fixed in the morning. All day he kept saying they had the new drain and would replace it. They didn't do it that day, and just blew it out. I had to call everyone at the company and complain that night and all day the next day, but they did complete it the next evening. I have changed their rating to a positive one because I am pleased with the overall product, but the fact that it was not done right the first day, or corrected first thing the next morning messed up my timeline for other projects I had scheduled, like drywall repair.

We bought our AC unit from All Year Cooling and Heating less than 3 years ago. They gave us the best comparable price for the carrier unit and promised that their service and installment would always be a priority. This was important to us as we live in Tequest and they're located down south in Sunrise. We spent over 5000 dollars for the unit only to have it not pass inspection when the city came out for code checks. All Year tried to tell me that the additional requirements that had to be made to the roof-top unit would be out of my pocket. I pulled out the estimate that had their handwritten ALL INCLUDED on their estimate and had a very uncomfortable battle with them over the issue- both on the phone and in person. It finally got to the point where I told them to simply remove the unit off my roof if they expected more payment, as I wouldn't pay anymore than what was agreed upon initially. Finally, they sent out another group to perform the work needed to pass the inspection and though they weren't pleasant, the AC was installed and running. That should have been my first hint at how this company works as last week proved that their service still sucks. As stated above, I couldn't get them to come out within a reasonable time frame, they make you pay upfront just to put the appointment on their books- for 3-4 days out. (And if you find someone who will come out before their ridiculous arrival time- don't expect to get that 59 dollars back!) The receptionist who takes their calls is rude and condescending and I will never use this company again. I'm almost relieved that my 3 year warranty is up b/c I'd hate to ever have to call them on it. I think I'd rather pay someone else than deal for free with this group. ***UPDATE**** Because of my review on Angies list, I was contacted by a manager from ALL Year who was very nice and professional. His name is Kevin and though he didn't have to, he apologized profusely for the way his company handled our AC breakage. He even went so far as to ask what the repair cost me and if I would allow All year to reimburse me for the expense I paid. I made it clear I didn't write the review to seek monetary damages but to alert others of their poor prior service. He said he understood that and wasn't buying my change of opinion, only offering to compensate for work that should have been theres to do in the first place. I told him I appreciated that and told him the bill had been 225 paid to the other AC company who got me up and running again. He then offered a free yearly maintenance check up when it was due and though I declined that offer, I told him I really appreciated his courage and professionalism to give me a call to right a wrong. I also stated that I would make sure to include his call and efforts to make ammends in an updated review which I'm doing here. I also must note that I actually did receive that unsolicited 225 dollar check in the mail last week to cover the expense of my broken AC. That has caused me to reconsider my original F score that I gave, if for no other reason then to report they do have at least one upstanding individual who keeps their word and tries to make good on problems. His name is Kevin.

When I needed to have my AC fixed, they were the first one I called as it suddenly stopped working on a Monday night. I called them on Tuesday morning and was told that no one could come until Thursday afternoon. And I was told I had to give them a 59 dollar credit card payment just to book the appointment. The lady answering the phone proceeded to tell me my unit probably just needed to be flushed and that would cost 189 in addition to the service call if that's what they did, and to expect that. I told her I'd see if my friend could come look at it then; since she had basically "diagnosed my problem over the phone", ( She said when it stops working like that- it usually means you haven't done your maintenance on it. When was the last time you had it flushed out? She was very condescending and made me feel like my air not working was somehow my fault and I should know better.) Since my house was over 85 degrees and I couldn't wait till Thursday, I called my friend and asked him to see if he could go on my roof and see if my unit was backed up and needed to be drained.. My friend came over the next day, determined it was not a flushing issue and that a repairman needed to be called for the issue- he guessed the main power board was blown. I called All Year back on Friday morning at 7:30 am and was told that no one could come Friday, and that it would be Monday before a repairman could come. I again was told that if I wanted someone I had to pay the fee to book it. I told them I thought it was ridiculous that I was promised great service when they installed the unit, but couldn't get a repairman within 3-4 days when I needed one. She was unfazed and merely said they've been busy. I decided never to use them again and went to Angies list to find a company that I could get to do the work needed. I found just the company and they came out in under 2 hours flat and did the work at a great price!

We purchased a Trane unit last September, the salesman was very good at providing the knowledge needed to purchase a unit that would fit our home and budget. He convinced me that I had the best unit and when purchasing an extended warranty for a minimum of 10 years I would be worry free of any additional expenses. Installation - it initially took 9 days to actually get the unit installed, (after each visit they claimed it was working properly) - the install guys damaged my fence (never repaired, I gave up) - It took multiple visits by many different people to connect the Trane comfort link thermostat to my unit - when we needed the heater, we found out it was connected incorrectly Payment - we agreed I would utilize the 3 year 0% interest after putting $2000 cash down - It took multiple emails and many phone calls to get this correct as they initially charged the wrong amount Recent Service issue - I called for service as my thermostat is not working, I explained the indoor sensor goes up in temperature whenever the unit is running and needs to be replaced or fixed , the only option was to have a lead technician diagnose the issue, requiring 2 visits - On 8/28 After being 1.5 hours late (I had to take more time off work to be here for the 3-6pm window offered to me, they showed up at 7:30)they did call to say they would be running late. - After the technician showed up within 5 minutes he says he has never seen anything like this and the t-stat would need to be replaced without even trying to figure why this would happen. - He generates paperwork that shows I owe $90, I have a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I call the service department she informs me this is a ?distributer fee? - After they replace the thermostat the problem still exists but since it was after 5pm they would need to return at a time that they could call Trane, on the 3rd visit they called Trane - the Trane rep immediately tells him there is a downdraft due to the return being very close to the thermostat, they said a remote sensor would need to be installed. - It has been ordered and is due to be installed soon. Yes all of these items were taken care of but at great expense to the company and to my time as some of these visits lasted until very late at night and/or required me to take time off of work. On many items I am pleased but it took too much time and effort to install and have running correctly an Air Conditioning unit.
Description of Work: I purchased a complete trane system, install took multiple visits before the system worked correctly, damage was done to the house, service reps do not remember you from one hour to another, technicians do as little as possible. They are quick to sell an extended warranty but find some way to try and charge you. The owner sends a great letter of introduction inviting you to call or email him, but when you contact him he responds in a non personal kind of way, not rude but not customer friendly either. There must be better companies than this....

They did excellent work. The price was reasonable, and the technicians were on time and very professional. They completed all of the work before I paid them. I was very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They replaced my air conditioner. They also cleaned our air ducts for free.

It went very well. They initially came out to look at what I currently had and then gave me 3 estimates for 3 different efficiency models of the same brand of heating and air conditioning system. We made an appointment and then they came out to take care of it. They rescheduled once but then came out on a Saturday morning and worked 7 hours to completely put in the system. They had to come out 2 days prior to installation to extend the AC cement pad, but that was part of the quote.
Description of Work: I used All Year Cooling & Heating to install a new heating and air conditioning unit.
