All County Tree

Work went excellent, crew did a great job and exactly what I had agreed upon with the manager. After the job was over, the manager called me and said that 1 of the fish palms was not included. We had both looked at the area in question and had agreed on what needed to be removed and then the price. Now he was asking for an additional $200 to cover this palm when we had agreed that was included. He took no notes, and I have an exceptional memory. I would never use a company that agrees on a job and then after completing the agreed upon job comes back and asks for more money. That is not an honorable way to do business. The crew did excellent work and I wouldn't want them to suffer for their managements dishonor. If you use them get the quote in writing.

Louis (Arborist) came out quickly and gave me a quote. I got the permits, and he came out to do the work. The three trees were removed as asked, but the 4th tree was not trimmed back to the property line as requested. Louis then asked for the permit to trim, and a release letter to trim the tree (the tree is located on neighbor property). I got both for Louis, and he sent out a crew a week later to finish the trim job. My only issue was communication issues. Louis came out to do the job on property without informing me, there was a miscommunication regarding the amount to trim off the tree, and calls/emails were not returned as promptly as I would have liked. However, Louis did complete the job to 100% of my satisfaction, was courteous and professional, and charged what I thought was a very fair price. I would refer him and his company to friends/family.

We did get several estimates before deciding to go with All County Tree. When I called All County I spoke with Louis and I told him we wanted to get this done ASAP. He came out the same day to give us an estimate. He was very professional and answered all of our questions. Some companies had stated they would use chemicals to help break down the stump which concerned us for our dog. Louis assured us they do not do this. The crew returned within a few days and removed our tree. We were at work so we did not get to watch them do it, but we were so pleasantly surprised when we returned home that day. Everything was done and cleaned up, like nobody had even been here. They were able to get all of their equipment through our side gate. The tree and stump were both gone and it looked great. They cleaned everything up, even taking some trimmings off our lawn that we had left there for trash pick up. An amazing job was done!! Our neighbors came over to say that they saw how neat these guys worked and they too were very impressed.

After calling many tree and landscape services All County Tree was the only company that showed any interest or ability to do the job. Louis was a little slow in his response but did finally show up to look the job over and give me an estimate. He assured me he would not need to use a back hoe as another company stipulated to a tune of $1000.00. I gave him the job and within 2 days he sent a crew of 3 men out to do the job. When the men were finishing Louis himself showed up to supervise the final details of removing all of the root system. This impressed me. They removed all debris and even the extra substantial amount of dirt that had accumulated. Of particular note was the stump grinder. It is a self contained robotic remote control machine. It can get into hard to reach locations without the need of a truck and trailer. If nothing else prospective consumers should keep this in mind if your job requires access thru gates and narrow passages to the rear of the house etc.. I would definitely use Louis and All County Tree again.

Louis arrived at the time specified and gave me an estimate, including treatment for an ailing palm. During the interval, the ailing palm died. Louis found a great specimen palm and installed it. His workers were courteous, professional and very skilled. They removed the tree, all the trimmings from the other trees, and cleaned up the area. Louis is professionally licensed in Broward and required a permit for the removal of the large tree. He did not obtain the permit, I did, and just as well, since I had to have permission from my HOA as well as the city. Since the city was changing its standards for replacement plantings, Louis left the replacement of the removed tree to me. All-County managed to remove the large tree without damaging the fence - something of a miracle! I will definitely call All-County again for tree services.

See above -- I expected the company to be more conscientious about responding and scheduling, especially since I was willing to work within their schedule and I provided detailed information on what I needed done. I was also prepared to purchase additional tree trimming services at the time of their appearance if the work seemed to be going well. Because I had personal responsibilities I did not repeatedly call to try and get in touch -- I did make at least 4 calls and 2 e-mails.

Louis Gartner is a ISA Certified Arborist who owns All County Tree & Landscaping Co, Inc. He's "old school." His business practices are old fashion- cementing a deal with a handshake. He will accept no money up front and only when the job is done. He saves money by doing many jobs in one area... so he can't really tell you the "exact date" when he'll be at your house. But rest assured it will be done. I easily rated him all A(s). He sometimes doesn't call back right away but be persistent. He works out in the field and will get back to you. We've had him trim our trees 3 hurricane seasons in a row. He's honest and has a great work ethic.

I bought an Angie's List deal for All County Tree at the end of May, but the company never performed the service. It took a month before Louis came out to look (after I complained to Angie's List customer service), at which time he told me that it would take more than the six hours on the voucher to trim just six palm trees. After waiting another month without his ever showing up (one excuse after another) I asked for a refund from Angie's List. Angie's List issued the refund promptly. The irony is that I got another tree service to perform the entire job for less than I originally paid for the voucher, and they started work literally minutes after we agreed on a price. This type of service is poor even for southern Florida, which pretty much sets the standard for poor service. I am not sure why All County Tree Service is even in business since they obviously have no will to performing any actual service, even at an extremely inflated price.

Called up company for an estimate. Never got one. I guess business must be too good!

recently bought property with a Norfolk Pine in front yard that was approx 70 ft tall and leaning a bit. Contacted 3 tree services for estimates. All County and another were the same with the 3rd considerably higher. Decided to go with All County because I found Louis (owner) to be more personable and informative. I decided to have the tree topped to about the half way mark. The work was performed about 2 weeks after original estimate because of weather. The tree was topped and all debris was removed in about a 3 hour time span. And although I have a small yard with many plantings nothing was damaged. I would hire this company again whenever I need tree work

I called All County for an estimate, I met them out at the house received the estimate and when I was ready to hire them they never returned my call. I was very disappointed that I did not received a response, so I hired another company.

They are very reliable. They come when you call. If they can't make it they call. They leave a bill instead of taking payment then.

I searched around using all different sources including Angie's list. I had left plenty of messages and didn't get any return calls for about a week. I finally found this company through Broward Agricultural Extention services. They called my two days later and I asked them if they were licensed. The gentleman named Luis, said he was a certified tree arborist, which was a big plus to me. He wanted to see he trees and he finally called me back after 4 hours. We came to an agreement for $275.00 and I also mentioned my neighbor had also wanted an estimate for two Mahogany trees. Our trees suffered extensively from Hurricane Wilma and I had let them grow back without any trimming (approximately 5 years) because of the extensive loss of branches. The next day after we agreed on the price they came just before I got home and were busy trimming the tree. They were careful in not blocking the driveway and I had no issues with them. They had very good equipment and I was deeply impressed.

Louis came out on Tuesday 3/08/11 to bid the job of cutting down some Areca palms, grinding out the stumps, and disposing of about 10 ficus trees. We had already gotten another bid from another Angie's List company, which was about $200 higher, so we called Louis back and asked him a couple of questions, then hired him. He said they could come out Thursday (2 days later) and do the job; which we thought was great. He showed up ahead of schedule on Thursday, with 4 other guys and set right to work. They pulled back a chain link fence that we are going to have removed, and cut the palms down. They then chipped everything up, ground the stumps, cleaned up, and put the fence back. It rained throughout the process and was very gusty, and they kept working; they ran under the back porch for a couple of minutes when it was raining very hard, then went back to work! They were friendly and cheerful the whole time. We would recommend them, and will hire them again if we need landscaping or tree work.

They did a great job. We had gotten another quote and their quote was better so it was a good price. We were very happy with them. There were no complaints.

They were great and excellent. I used their services every year. Their pricing was good. Last year they trimmed a large tree in my backyard and also did a little trimming work at the front of my house for a price of $250.

All our calls to the company were returned in a prompt manner. The crew arrived as soon as we called with the ok (permit and locate done) and cut the tree down. The workers were very professional. I had many air plants growing on the tree and asked if they could save them. Without hesitation they sawed off the bark with my plants and placed them on the other side of my yard. It was a tedious job due to the location near electric company's lines and our pool close by. A few days later they returned to grind the stump. Very happy with the company overall. It's not easy to find honest, reliable and responsible companies today. No worries with this job!

They did everything they said they would. They left the yard clean and in good shape.

I WAS GRATEFUL FOR THE SERVICE ALL COUNTY TREE PROVIDED. I WAS TOTALLY CRUSHED THAT THEY COULD NOT SAVE MY PALM TREE THAT HAD BEEN STANDING STRONG FOR TWENTY YEARS. IT IS HARD ACCEPTING THE LOST, BUT THEY DONE WHAT THEY COULD.
