Agility Van Lines

I hired Agility to move me from OH to PA. I spent 27 minutes on the phone with John explaining the furniture I had in the house (which he also viewed pictures on MLS) and explained the furniture would be going to 2 locations less than 10 miles apart. The 2 locations were a storage unit and a ranch style home. At the Ohio location, the team of 3 movers were 4 hours late. I was living 2 hours away from the Ohio location. At 5 PM I called Agility to see why they were late. Agility explained the reason we are customer related not having everything packed. The reason was outside their control and I agreed. However, there was NO communication from Agility to me that they would be late. The 3 movers worked hard packing my home and the truck over 2 days. When they arrived at the PA house to unload, the Crew Manager told me putting 32 boxes and other items in the basement was not included in the contract. I argued that the contract does not specifically state responsibilities (this was my 5th move in my lifetime and i used all national moving companies and they had no issues where the boxes had to go). Crew Manager told me he would take the boxes into the basement but I would have to pay him. Since I am 58 yrs old, I asked how much it would cost. Crew Manager said how much are you willing to pay us. At this point, I knew what was happening. I told the Crew Manager to unload the boxes into the garage. As they were unloading boxes, I was taking them into the basement. Crew Manager noticed what I was doing and started to take a larger box down the stairs. I told him not to take any boxes to the basement and he started talking about customer service. The basement has 13 stairs and the contract indicated a maximum of 12 stairs. Most boxes are not marked to indicate what is in them and have to be opened. I will be moving again in the near future since I am unemployed at the moment. I will dont see myself using Agility again for the reasons here. I will use a national moving company. Anybody reading my review can take it at its worth. UPDATE: my original rating was 1.86. After having a direct conversation with Shane Young, Agilitys President, and discussing the issues in detail, I agreed to update the rating and this review. Shane seemed to be sincere and embarrassed by what had occurred. I have the feeling he will correct this problems.

Agility was priced right and their employees represented their company very well.

Last minute emergency move. Total accommodated me and my father. The guys did great!

I hired Agility to move me from Mass. to Florida but had to cancel the order because my plans changed. I wanted to leave this review anyway because my experience was a good one. True to their contract, upon cancellation, Agility refunded my deposit in full and immediately. Jimmy in the sales office was very responsive to my initial concerns about Agility's poor reviews listed on the BBB website. He explained that the company has gone through a positive transformation over the past 6 months and that the company is working hard to earn consumer trust. He worked diligently with me to create a contract that satisfied my concerns about pricing and reliability. Although in the end I did not actually use their moving service, I would encourage others to look beyond their former history of poor BBB reviews and directly work with them to see if you can establish a trustworthy contract for services. Moved from Ohio to Florida. Agility Van Lines were excellent to work with and I was continually updated and they stayed on schedule through out the move. Furniture was wrapped and well protected. Staff was responsive and professional. I would recommend their services.

Very flexible. Got my move done ahead of schedule. The movers were very professional kept on task and knocked out pickup and delivery.

This company is not truthful. I don't recommend them.

Agility Van Lines was TOP NOTCH from beginning to end. I had the ALEX SMITH TEAM (Karl and Jude). Alex saw to it that EVERYTHING was padded, wrapped and boxed to perfection. Karl and Jude worked as diligently as Alex. They were beyond professional. I couldn't believe anyone could work that hard without taking a break. This was a long move from flat Florida to a virtual mountain top in PA.. The customer service was impeccable and price was below what the performance should have cost. I recommend Alex Smith and Agility Van Lines 100 %.

They took exceptional care of all my belongings. The way that they handled everything, the professionalism, the courtesy, was all top of the line. If I were to ever move again, I would use them again. They went the extra mile, placing furniture right where I wanted all set.

He was on time, the price was fair and as expected.

They are extremely dedicated, very loyal, and highly customer oriented.
