Juan came on the same day that I called him and was armed with all the latest gadgets and tools. I already knew mold was present so there was no need to do mold testing which is what most of the other mold inspectors I spoke with wanted to do. He walked throughout the unit and gauged the humidity levels. He inserted a camera through a small hole in the wall so he could see exactly what the situation was behind the wallboard. He checked all surfaces for signs of mold and took photographs that he included in a very extensive written report that I received within 24 hours and was able to forward to the homeowner. It was a pleasure doing business with Juan. I felt he did everything he could to give me a thorough and honest assessment. He spent almost an hour and a half with me and answered all my questions. Action 1 inspections actually inspected two houses for us while we were under contract for purchase. The first house did not work out but we were happy with the honesty from the inspector so we choose to use him again for our second purchase. This time around we ended up getting the house and we even got a discount on the inspection fee since we had used the company before. Very thorough inspection and it was worth every penny. Inspector even accomodated us and did the inspection on a Saturday morning at 8 am since this was the only time available before the inspection period from the contract ended. We received the written report the day after. Inspection fee included home inspection report, wind mitigation and 4 point inspection for the insurance company. No other company on the market could beat that quote and include all those reports in one fee.
