The customer service for this company is awful. It took me a week to get the first guy out. And, You have to deal with people from other countries (India call center). They charged me $116 for a diagnostic of my refrigerator and the repairman was nice. Then, he said the mother board/mainframe needed to be replaced which would cost $579. I told him that I wanted to research the cost online fir a new fridge for a few minutes and then I would call in a hour and place the order. He said ok. When I called in, I waited 20 minutes again. They told me I had to pay for another guy to come out and could not use any of the information on ordering the mainframe from the first technician. Tis is crazy. It would take another week to come out. Then I called another company and they told me the issue was not even the mainframe but a switcher. So I would have wasted $600+ and not even feed my fridge. When I complained to the call center and asked to speak to a supervisor, the person hung up on me. I called again and waited a long time and spoke to supervisor Raya who told me that she could not help me with paying the diagnostic fee again because it was the companies policy.

Not good. We're on the 3rd visit over a 4 month period and it's still not fixed. First, they changed the compressor. Then, they came back, said there was a leak and was out of refrigerant. Now, it's out of refrigerant again and they say the condenser is leaking. There were zero leaks before they came along and now everything seems to be mysteriously leaking. Oh, and this is a 2-year old fridge. It's through a warranty company and this is their preferred provider, otherwise I'd never let these people touch any of my appliances again.
Description of Work: Repair fridge for not cooling.

I had a really bad time with them. The service called and told me that the guy would be out at a certain time. I told them to make sure that he calls before he comes. The next day he showed up at 8 o'clock, I had just dropped my daughter off at school, that was why I needed them to call. He said that my appointment was between 8 an twelve. He got rude and yelled at me. I told him to go away and I didn't want him at my door or in my house. They called back, reset the appointment, and I told them that I didn't want them to send him back. I told them that I didn't want him at my home. The next day it was the same guy. He disguised his voice, and I asked him why he was at my house. He did apologize. He said that he could do the repairs or he could leave and they could send someone else. I thought that was so unprofessional. He apologized and did the work. It turned out to be a clogged drain. He looked for something else to fix. He charged $79 for the service call. I didn't think that I should have paid anything else. They service Sears appliances, they get a percentage of anything they fix. I requested him not to come back and he did. They were overpriced. They did call me back, but didn't rectify the situation and his punctuality was good. He showed up. Once he apologized he was very professional.
Description of Work: A&E Factory Service unclogged a drain and fixed the agitator on my washer.

y switch, I contacted Whirlpool, the manufacturer of the fridge which was inoperable. They set me up with A&E. I did this as I wanted to avail myself of the years 2-5 warranty on compressors and such, in case that was the problem. Turned out to be a relay switch. The part cost $31, the balance of the charge was labor and tax. I paid the bill, but was not happy with the cost, as they quoted one price, charged another, When they quote, they conveniently forget to mention the service call charge: $75. They will do what they set out to do, and do it well, just make them give you a real price up-front. I wasn't told the true cost until the job was done.
Description of Work: The technician took off the back cover, located the relay switch, checked it to find it was not working. He looked it up in his computer system, found the part on the truck, replaced the part. He then checked to see if it was working properly--it was. He closed and presented me with the bill.

Premium Service Plan purchased from HH Gregg for an electric range acquired October 19, 2012. Range defective needs repair. HH Gregg sub contracts repair service to A&E Factory Service. Repair representative was supposed to appear tbetween 8:00-12:00 today. No one called. Called A&E three times to follow up - waited 10 minutes each time to speak to a representative. Telephone Representative courteous - however could not re schedule another appointment for 11 days. Bottom line - don't hold your breath waiting for this company to provide a repair service especially if it urgent. Since this company is the service representative for HH Gregg and given that I have already paid for a Service Plan I currently have no choice but to accept he new scheduled date pending review with HH Gregg regarding the next step; which accounts for my reluctant conclusion that I would use this company again.
Description of Work: Schedule appointment for the repair of a Mitsubishi flat top range not respected. No contact received from A&E factory Service advising that the representative would not appear.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag french door bottom freezer refrigerator in 2010. We noticed fairly recently a pool of ice kept forming on the bottom right side of the refrigerator (in the freezer compartment). We referred to the Maytag website and subsequently called the 800# number and the Maytag representative connected us to A & E Factory Service. The company set up an appointment (no waiting for a date) and sent a technician who was located in our area (Boynton Beach). The company has an automated system that contacted us the night before AND the morning of the scheduled visit to confirm the appointment. The tech (named Clemente) was extremely timely and professional. He quickly identified the problem and fixed it: (1) defrosted the grill on the backside of the freezer that was frozen due to a clogged pipe that was not draining, (2) unclogged the pipe (there was a very small particle of dust clogging it), and leveled the refrigerator (it was not level when it was installed by another company). We also had a torn gasket, so we decided to replace both gaskets. Clemente ordered the gaskets (which were delievered to our house via UPS) and Clemente returned to install them a week later (5/1/2012). On 5/1/2012 we were having an all day rain storm throughout Palm Beach County. We received a phone call (automated) indicating the tech was behind schedule and was asked if we wanted to reschedule or keep the appointment date in which the tech would arrive that day in the early evening. We kept the appointment. Clemente arrived and installed the gaskets. We have had no problems since (it has been two weeks). And now when I open the left side door of the refrigerator, it stays open (because the refrigerator was previously not leveled correctly, the door would not stay open).
Description of Work: Defrosted the components in the back of the freezer drawer, cleaned a pipe that was clogged with dust, leveled the refrigerator, replaced both gaskets.

This is the absolute worst service company! Do not use them! They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever encountered. Well here goes this long drawn out, completely frustrating series of events...On Dec 6 I called my service contract company which set up an appointment within 5 day through A&E service...This appointment was not kept by A&E, they simply did not show up....I called them back that day after the time allotted for service and they just gave me an empty apology and said they would reschedule me for 5 DAYS LATER...not the next day, as I would have expected...The next appointment was kept but the service tech came and said that parts needed to be ordered and they would not be able to come back till the 27 of Dec...21 DAYS LATER...THEY AGAIN WERE A NO SHOW....I called them back and was given another appointment 3 days later the tech showed up and said that all the parts that he needed were never ordered and he again needed to reschedule...He said that he would overnight the missing part and it would be there on the 31st of Dec before 12pm...That part never showed and ended up coming on the 3rd of Jan...The appointment would now have to be pushed to the 5th of Jan...1 MONTH FROM THE ORIGINAL CALL...This company is a disgrace and should not be in business....

These people are absolutely terrible and I recommend you save yourself the aggravation I had and not use them, ever, even it they offer to do the work for free! I booked an appointment with them, 10 days in advance. They required a 9 hour window as in "our tech will be there sometime between 8am and 5pm, but we cant tell you more than that, but please have someone at home." I agreed and we set an appointment for 11/30/11. On 11/29/11 they called with an auto service to confirm the appointment. I called back and confimed and asked if they could give me a better time estimate. They could not, but confirmed the appointment. On 11/30/11 at 8am their automated call service called to confirm again. I had 2 people at my home, waiting for them. At 915am they called my cell phone. I was in a meeting and could not answer, but called back 12 minutes later. By then they said "the appointment was cancelled, no one was at your home". I said there were 2 people there waiting for them, and how could they say that? They said "we called andno one answered". I said "well, 25 years ago that might have been true, when there were no cell phones, but, you called my cell and not my home and someone is there." They kept me on hold and said that they would ahve the tech there before 5pm. At 130pm I got an automated call telling me they had cancelled my appointment, again, and told me to call them back. I did call them back and explained everything. They told me they would put me on hold and speak to the tech. I was on hold 20 minutes and no one ever picked up again. I finally hung up. I would never use this company again. They wasted about an hour and a half of my time just confirming appointments they never showed up for.
Description of Work: I have a Maytag Neptune gas clothes dryer that worked, but stopped heating. I called Maytag Service, they moved me to A&E Factory Service to arrange a service call for the repair. No repairs were performed - see below.

I have an extended warranty contract with them. Everything was covered under the warranty and that was one of the reasons I appreciated it. They made sure it was all covered. I had an ice maker problem. My ice maker wasn’t working and it was freezing up. They completely took it apart and put in a piece in order to make it better. They did that six months ago. That did not change anything and so they came back when I told them the same problem persists. They replaced the whole door. I thought they were very thorough. My only critic of them was that, they sent two different repair men since they came out twice. I personally like to have a little continuity. So that the first person who saw it, is looking at the same thing when he comes out next. I would use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used A&E Factory Service for large appliance repair. I last used their services two months ago I guess. They repaired my refrigerator. They started may be six months ago and then we had to order a part.

Very disappointed. I made an appointment with them yesterday and they were scheduled to come today. After not arriving as scheduled, I just spoke with them and they would not honor their original committment to come today. I told them that we had a definite appointment today and that I took off work for it. They could not care.
Description of Work: I have a electrical short in a recently installed hot water heater. Whirlpool told me to call A&E to schedule a warranty repair.

A repair person has been to my house 9 times. They can not diagnose the problem and have not been able to fix the ice dispenser door. They make you put aside an entire day, they can not confirm a time less than 8 hours when they will be there. They have ordered over $975 in parts that are sitting on my desk waiting to be installed. The technician didn't show up one day, and claimed he had. I asked to be put on the list for the next day, as it was their mistake - I was told by several people (supervisor included) that I had to wait another 2 weeks for service. I made the mistake of paying them $350 in advance otherwise I wouldn't even let them in my house again.
Description of Work: I called because my Maytag refrigerator was turning on and off by itself. They were supposed to diagnose the machine and fix it. Also asked them to look at the ice dispenser to see if it could also be fixed, the door was stuck.

The first scheduled appointment was canceled at 5pm (Tuesday)on the same day after waiting all day long for them to come. They rescheduled for the following Friday, again anywhere between 8am to 5pm. Tech arrived at 6pm, looked at the dryer and didn't know what to do. Went back to his van and was on the phone for 20 minutes, came back in and said "dryer is brokey",(yes he couldn't speak English). Had to reschedule again for the following week, parts arrived on Tuesday from Whirlpool. Tech showed up at 4pm Thursday, didn't need the part, only a wire was loose. First moron didn't even open the back, he could have fixed it.
Description of Work: New Whirlpool dryer under warranty need to be repaired for a (F-22) error code on the unit. Tech needed to change a part sent by Whirlpool.
