Abhorrent! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Less than zero stars!! I had them come out to repair my refrigerator water dispenser motor. They quoted me $400 at the time and I said I would have to wait to do it. They charged me $75 to come out (unmentioned prior) and said that they will apply the $75 toward the repair of the refrigerator when I was ready. Well, today I was ready. I called them to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I mentioned that I was a customer of theirs and let them know I had paid the $75 fee and NOW they said they WOULD NOT APPLY IT TO THE SERVICE! Their excuse? ?It?s been over a year?. NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THAT AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL PAID VISIT. They said ?Whenever you?re ready to have the motor replaced? to call them to set it up. Not only did the tech NEVER MENTION THIS, but when I called the day they came out TO CONTEST THE $75 FOR NOTHING FEE, she ALSO never mentioned 90 days or an expiration on the $75 fee!!! Received a real quick call from this company and made all of the arrangements for them to do the job. Never heard anything after that. Got the impression the real quick call was just to size up the job. Guess it just was not big enough for them to bother. I will find a more reliable company. When I do get a big job I will not bother to call them either.

The most horrible company with zero customer service. They expect you to be at your House when they're able to come to you. They don't have any respect that you have to be at work and need ample time to be at home. And when you couldn't make it home on time, they'd reschedule you again at their own convenience, not yours. Then you talk to their supervisor and he only will not acknowledge that your time is valuable. I wish there. A minus 0 rating.

Spencer contacted me around 9:00 am and told me that he was coming, our refrigerator had suddenly stopped cooling. He checked it out and he told me that it wouldn't be worth our time and money to repair the refrigerator. We were glad we knew where we stood. We went out and bought a new refrigerator.

11/17: The A1 representative could not find our home on the first try. He ended up on 9th Ave in another city. Needless to say, he was significantly late. Once he got there, he spent some time looking at the icemaker. It appeared he really did not know what he was doing. During that visit, the hose was removed from the icemaker and he could not get it put back on. He indicated he would have to come back the next day and would resolve that then. 11/18: On the second visit, he determined that he believed the control panel needed to be replaced. It would have to be ordered. It may or may not resolve the problem, but it would have to be replaced to move forward. We agreed to having the panel ordered. 12/11: I contacted the rep by phone to see what the status was on our new control panel that he had supposedly ordered. He did not remember who we were (asked if I were the father or the son in the business - this was a residential visit). He said he did not know the status of the part and he would have to check and contact me that evening. That was the last we have heard from the business. Since that time another repair service has been in to resolve this. One of the first things he noticed was that the line to the icemaker (the one that was 'disconnected' by the A1 rep), had actually been sliced open - apparently an accident during the removal? He took this icemaker to his shop for review since it would no longer function due to the sliced line. In his evaluation of the machine, he determined that there was nothing wrong with the control panel - the coolant was depleted and the mechanism that cuts and drops the ice was not functioning. The unit had to be replaced. I am glad I did not spend $500 on a new control panel to find out it would have to be scrapped. We found it completely unacceptable that A1 forgot who we were, then when we reached out again, obviously had forgotten to order the part, and neglected to ever contact us back. Just about the worst customer support experience I can recall in Florida, which is really saying a lot!

Five is only half the score I would give this gentleman if possible. We have never experienced a service man anywhere near as honest, straightforward and helpful . Why canât the work quality rating be five stars, we were only allowed 4.5. We now know how A1 Appliance Repair has stayed in business for over fifty years.
