+ -1 moreI got a few estimates for this work, with tub refinishing here in Fort Lauderdale it isn't unusual for an A rated Angie's List company to quote you over the phone. But with this being a spa tube I wanted someone to come out and take a look at the work before I committed. Ron from A-1 was prompt to return my call, arrived on time and detailed what he needed to do and the pros and cons of refinishing. He is the more expensive than most but he is extremely thorough. I would highly recommend him.

Description of Work: My home was built in 1969 and the bathtub is original but had been refinished about 15 years ago. It had started to peel so I called A-1. He explained the old surface would have to be removed ($100), then the tub could be resurfaced ($250) and an additional $50 for the rough bottom since a tub mat would cause a problem with the new surface. He arrived early, spent over 4 hours and did a fabulous job. The time I had it done previously was a "cheaper" job and you certainly do get what you pay for. this job is perfect. The tub looks brand new. He was meticulous in his work and clean up. I definitely recommend this company.

+ -1 moreI have a home that was built in the 1940s and one of the bathtubs is original but had been refinished about 20 years ago. It had started to show some wear so I called A-1 and they explained that the old surface would have to be removed ($100), then the tub could be resurfaced ($250) and if I wanted the rough bottom it would be an additional $50 - they recommended the rough bottom since a tub mat would cause a problem with the new surface. They came when scheduled 2 days later, spent about 4 hours and I now have a beautiful and quot;newand quot; tub. The technician was very careful to cover everything and use large fans to disperse the odor and when he was done he cleaned up everything so only the tub looks different! I highly recommend them.
