I responded to the Angie's List deal for a full house electrical inspection. Several fixtures had shorted out and I could see frayed and exposed wiring between the house and detached garage, so I knew there were problems with my electrical system, and I had already received an estimate from another contractor. Razvan and Dave walked me around the entire house and pointed out potential danger areas, identified which were priorities and which could wait, provided me with a detailed and very reasonable estimate based on our discussion, pulled a permit and started work three days later. A few days into that work, we discovered the first of many surprises: Romex attached to knob and tube, wrapped in electrical tape and hidden under plywood in the attic. My home was built in 1928 and the electrical system had never been upgraded, just added to over the years. I decided to bite the bullet and have the job done correctly. I went with Quick Electric because (i) I received carefully considered answers to my questions (and I asked a lot), (ii) Razvan, the owner, honestly admitted when he could not give a definitive answer, instead of bluffing or providing false reassurance, and (iii) he took the time to carefully explain each aspect of the work involved and never gave me the "little lady" response. Each morning, Razvan would outline the work to be done that day, keep me informed of any surprises or challenges, then go over the results with me at the end of the day. I was impressed at how hard they worked to find the best solution to each challenge, and there were many. Despite that, the entire job was completed without leaving ONE SINGLE HOLE in the walls. The work took 4½ weeks and I greatly appreciated that Razvan did not disappear for days on end to work on other projects, as many contractors do. He was fully focused on my house, with the exception of a few days here and there, and then he always gave me as much advance notice as possible. I have overseen several commercial build-outs and renovations in San Francisco high rises and can say with assurance that Quick Electric's work is solid. They are fast, efficient, courteous, and professional, and have that old-world work ethic that is sadly missing with so many service providers these days. If you are considering an electrical upgrade or any major electrical work, I can highly recommend Quick Electric.

Razvan and Dave were very prompt and started right off with the electrical home inspection. From the start, they started to detail out some of the suggested changes, upgrades / modifications both needed and also not needed. They wanted to ensure that we did not spend more than needed - and explained new products, changes in electrical codes and also regulations. I was a bit nervous at first, as when we bought our home, we had not the full understanding of the previous owners upgrades. However, they assured me through detailed explanation through the walkthrough of our home - that I feel more confident and better about the potential changes needed to our home. We are planning on figuring out how to make these modifications based on our budget - but I feel confident that Quick Electric will be able to help us in our needs.

I was hesitant to have another provider in my house since my last two electricians screwed me over, however these two were amazing. They fully explained everything to me becoming doing anything, gave me fair quotes and stuck to them, and I asked them if they would be willing to come back in the future to fix a few other things and upgrade me. Amazing service.

It did not go smoothly. Communication was terrible. They didn't show up for scheduled appointment, & did not call to inform they would not be showing up.

Professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. Willing and good at explaining issues identified, which were one big issue and several small ones. Our only frustration is that vendor felt it was not cost effective for them to travel to us again from their east bay location to our property in the near future to fix the small things identified right away. (We need to plan finances for the big one in the future.) Did not give us an estimate for doing the small work. When we signed up for the advertized home inspection on Angie's list site we hadn't thought to look at where the vendor was located. For normal Angie's list requests/purchases, we tend to pick vendors that have done work nearby, all other things being equal, in order to be sure they can be responsive. But we didn't think about that when signing up for the special. Crew did however fix a lamp on the spot, for free!

It went really well. Was surprised to find that the previous owner had not installed an electrical box for the fan we were replacing. Razvan did a good job of pointing out the dangers of this and that the "Big Deal" indicated that this would be extra. They made quick work of the installation and the fan looks good. Only area that I had an issue with them was they didn't do a good job of cleaning up the dust created when installing the electrical box. My wife ended up taking care of that. Overall I was impressed and will use them again.

They showed up on time. Were very professional and polite. Discussed things while checking them. Feel conferrable having them work on my home if I need any electrical work to be done.

I think they were very rude. I called the first time, he said he was on a job and would call me back. No one did, and then I emailed them and no one’s called. I called today and got no response.

Purchased deal for ceiling fan installation. Quick Electric was fast and did a great job. My set up was pretty complicated and they handled no problem.

He apologized to me, but he said that he is very busy and it would be March before he is able to do the service for me. He was very polite though when I spoke to him; I just won't be using him for this job since I won't the project done sooner.

Provided reasons for work to be done. Electrical work will be done at a later date.

Two workers came - The owner Razvan did the actual inspection - checking the ground on the plugs and the wiring on the switches and plugs (he didn't open up each plug/switch), just checked a few represent ones since I have an older house. Turns out the plugs had all been rewired, but many switches still had knob and tube wiring. Razvan's assistant wrote down all the findings. Both men were very pleasant and since I am planning to sell my house, they gave advice on which improvements they thought were necessary vs which things I should leave as is. Very helpful advice.

I spoke with them, and they seemed friendly and helpful. However, I am outside of their service area, so I won’t be using them at this time.

It worked out okay and they were very fast in contacting me and showing up. I had to pay extra for an extra part that needed to be put into the ceiling for the wiring. It all worked out fine but it ended up being more expensive than I expected. The scheduling was good.

Just purchased our first family home in Hayward and our home is a little old. The electrical system needs an upgrade but I can't spend a huge chunk of money all at once. Quick Electrical came out and assesed our electrical system. They made a checklist and prioritized the tasks that need to be done. They quoted me very fairly and went to work. The quality of the work was excellent and I will continue to use them until our electrical system is where it needs to be. Quality work and a reasonable price with Quick Electrical!

Once I contacted the company to schedule the work to be completed I was told that our ceilings were too high to install the fans without additional costs to the company having to use scaffolding.? I was willing to pay the additional costs, however they refused to honor the deal stating his workman's compensation prevented them from working above fifteen feet. I contacted Angie's for a resolution.

I really hate to complain, but I have not been able to move around your directory. There are too many jumping off points, that it is confusing to me. I was looking for a handyman, and could only find one, and he was from San Jose. I am sure there are some hidden within your directory, but seem to get lost. Your directory offers to many home improvement and not enough small jobs that don't cost $1,000. One ad said valid on a minimum project of $1,000. I really do look forward to your directory, but find myself more disappointed in not being able to find a painter, or small plumbing project. Thank you

I purchased a Big Deal with them. They were hard to get in contact with. When I did reach them, I found that the work was going to cost more than what I paid for the deal, so I decided not to use it.

The visit was fine, the two came in and went to work almost immediately, very little warm up and communication of what the plan was going to be. That made me feel a little uneasy. I identified some outlets that never worked and they wen tot work to solve the problem. Although they were not able to fix the problem, it was not for them not being expert enough - actually quite the opposite. I had serious issues that I needed to invest a broader effort into to correct. They left me with a check list of issues and were gone in about 30 minutes.

Very thorough. Very professional. No pressure. Great advice. Clear explanations. Two electricians came to perform the inspection. One did most of the inspecting/talking while the other took notes which were given to me after the inspection was completed. The information and recommendations that were provided were very useful. If and when I need an electrician, I would definitely consider using Quick Electric.

This was one of the worst experiences of my professional life. This contractor has a previous CSLB complaint, and I was forced to file a complaint as a result of in my opinion a price scam. I am a Real Estate Broker and I ordered some electric work from Quick Electric Angies List. We sent a copy of the property inspection that clearly outlined all work to be done. 2 GFCI's one in Bath one on Patio and two outlets have reverse polarity, and install one hood vent over stove. We received 2 other bids around $190 and $225 for the same work. Quick Electric did not send a confirmation or a contract. After the work was complete I was sent a bill for $500 minus a 10% for $450.00! When I questioned the bill the owner of the company threatened legal action and to go after my license. As it turned out he had billed for 2 GFCI's that were not called for and did not complete the reverse polarity. He and his apprentice were at the unit for only 2 hours or for $225 an hour. I don't know what it is about some contractors but they think they can over charge and then threaten a client with legal action if the client objects. Well as a professional protecting my clients that is a road I for one will be taken down. He will likely owe me damages for his unprofessionalism and the time it has cost me.

I called, said would call back, didn't ever call to make appointment. Made other arrangements and got refund from Angies list. I assume they have great service but where just overwhelmed with response.

provided materials and installed power services to my hot tub. No issues at all and was very knowledgeable in providing a solution without the need to install a whole new panel as others said would be needed. Ask for Roman , he was my contact.

THEY INSTALLED EVERYTHING IN HALF A DAY AND WE WILL DEFINITELY CALL THEM BACK FOR MORE PROJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE! :)
