+ 3 moreIn August I gave Kitzman several opportunities to finish the job. They refused, forcing me to retain a lawyer. I thought I was hiring skilled workers, given the amount of money I paid, $102,000 to date. The back of my house remains boarded up, my electrical system had to be rewired, my concrete slab floors are still concrete. I have estimated it will take an additional $40,000 to finish and fix the job that should have been done months ago. The entire renovation experience was a disaster for my family. Try having a family dinner with no kitchen for 6 months. Bottom Line: Always insist on licensed workers and force the inspections. Check the local/state websites for complaints; I should have, as the Kitzmans had 4 other complaints against them.
Description of Work: My wife met Kitzman at the Jax Home show. They were very cordial, showed us their showroom, had a fleet of lg trucks, and were very smooth talkers. Oh, how we were scammed. The kitchen remodel to include major electrical, plumbing, adding gas, and moving walls. Thought we were getting skilled licensed artisans as per their brochure. We got unskilled and unlicensed workers. Kitzman failed to pull the proper permits and instead had their unlicensed workers do the work. It cost me $2,500 to fix my electrical system. They installed my cabinets incorrectly and voided the warranty. I still don't have all of my cabinets. Kitzman subcontracted the patio to someone else. They failed to order the proper doors and materials to do the job. They repeatedly told me the doors were on backorder. They never ordered them. The back of the house is still boarded up 8 months later. My stone flooring is half finished and the hardwood was never ordered, yet I paid for it last December.

+ 3 moreKitzman Interior Design is very good. They went out of their way to help us. They completed the remodeling project in a timely manner. The workers were very knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend their services to others.
Description of Work: Kitzman Interior Design remodeled our whole kitchen. This included countertops, cabinets, floors, appliances, and the decorating.
