Paytas Home, Hidden Lakes in Palm Coast. I regret buying a Paytas Home which is the worst housing decision I have ever made. This was a new build and all visits were for new house repairs, valid under 1 year warranty. Paytas fixed a few things and were admittedly on site several times, as need be. However, the below ground sprinkler heads have broken 4 times (while retracted) and they blame me, under warranty; tar from the gutters was cleaned (only partially, and they had to return at a later date to finish the job, and then they cleaned again because they did not inspect the roof and correct the problem as requested; the tar came back. The roof over the master bedroom was installed as standard flat was supposed to be a tray ceiling; they offered me $1500 to leave it as is which I did because I was soon to be without residence and they said the delay would be 2-3 months (again, manage by intimidation); 3 of 3 trees were dying and 1 was replaced but they declined to replace the other 2 which are almost leafless, are very sick and will need to be replaced. Paytas used the cheapest possible paint with no primer (ceiling and walls) - a huge fix because the entire interior needs repainting as it literally peels off by touch; the garage door sensors were put on backwards; the AC filter door doesn't shut properly; the "wood" cabinets throughout are "peeling"; the sliding glass door opener is weird and takes contortions to open the lock; the doors are placed so that you have to move the furniture to open it; there was water intrusion and they told me to prove it which I did so they sent someone to fix the glass doors which were not installed properly; there appears to be rust on the white carpet and I suspect a water seepage in the outside wall (not reported yet); the appliances are a horrific story....so many things....After 1.5 years, my house feels like a 15 year-old house. But in my opinion, the most stressful part of this business relationship is being treated unprofessionally as they respond with intimidation, disrespect, condescension, and rudeness. And, if they promise you a pool, forget it. A neighbor was promised the "any day now" pool over 7 years ago, as I was 1.5 years ago. The problem is, they don't give a verbal date so are not illegal, only unethical as they misrepresent the truth with a sub-message from sales that it is imminent! |The price is right, but buyer beware of this builder.

Unprofessional; unethical; dishonest. My overall experience has been extremely stressful, and buying a Paytas home in Hidden Lakes, Palm Coast, was a huge mistake.
