Description of Work: Mooney's Woodworking crafted a wall of cabinets, with glass shelved display space, and mirrored glass front cabinets with glass shelving for bar ware, as well as a cabinet containing a sink and a bar with an underlit onyx slab on top. A SubZero refrigerator was built in and crown moulding applied to the room.

+ 0 moreI can't say enough about our positive experience with Mooney's Woodworking. We did pay a fairly high dollar for the work but our requirements were such that we felt that it was worth every penny. Mooney's team was professional, organized, disciplined, and creative. I was impressed with the attention to detail and the sense of pride displayed in carrying out the objective. We had a Sub Zero refrigerator installed in the cabinetry which has specifications of its own. Mooney's was comfortable with these requirements and Bill even laughed and said he gave the refrigerator opening a quarter inch leeway. When the refrigerator was installed the installers commented on what a great fit it was. It fit like a glove with a quarter of an inch to spare. Our overall grade: A+
Description of Work: Our home in Florida has five bedrooms. We wanted to convert one that adjoined the kitchen area into a wet bar. A contractor that we had used for other services recommended Mooney's Woodworks as being good, but a little pricey. I called their office and set up an appointment. Bill Mooney, owner, came out and listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and was upfront with me about his current workload an when we might be able to have our project taken on. Although the wait was about 45 days I appreciated him being honest. The plans were drawn up by Aaron, the CAD operator, he was great. Suggestions were made and the plans were tweaked at a meeting at the office and the project began. We had our flooring put in, the plumbing and electrical work finished and the cabinetry install began. The installation team including Mr.Mooney, did a great job and were able to address anything that arose with ease. I was able to give my input at all times andI felt like my opinions and wishes were all attended to. I found them to be a very personable staff both at the office and on site. We used pecky cypress cabinet fronts and accents and a creamy onyx bar top surface that was illuminated from below. Mr. Mooney suggested an dimmable LED lighting option that turned out to be our favorite thing. The lighting option was also used in the glass front cabinets and as indirect and accent lighting for the counter top surface behind the bar. Our kitchen had been redone using the pecky cypress cabinets and accents and the bar is now a huge compliment to the appearance of the area. We now have our beautiful bar and receive rave reviews from all who see it. I believe this was the first in home, self-contained, bar they had done... and they nailed it!

+ 0 moreI will give them straight A's across the board. The owner, Will Mooney is really involved and he comes out personally to give us quotes. He gives charge for the quotes. He has really good ideas. He had a big workload and he was able to get us in well before the time he originally told us. He didn’t cross our expectation; he exceeded them. When he finally came and put the cabinets in, they looked absolutely beautiful. We were working with a provider to put in a bar refrigerator, which was quite expensive. When they came a day before to install it, Will was here and said it was 16th of the inch and they thought he was kidding. They said the refrigerator slipped in as it was made for it, which obviously it was. He is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. We are overly pleased with everything.
