+ -1 moreWe originally met at Bob's workshop and he explained the process we were about to undertake and what wood types would be appropriate for the look we wanted. After coming to our home to discuss the design and take measurements, we selected Sapele, a mahogany, because it matched our hardwood floor and we had already used it for our entrance doors. Bob kept us informed as the work progressed and we were invited back to his workshop to view the unit before the clear finish was applied. All work was done in a timely manner and he arrived on the specified day to install the piece which had to be taken apart and reassembled in place. The finished unit was more beautiful than I had imagined even though I had seen it previously. The wood grain was consistent throughout the assembled pieces and the clear finish which Bob used enhanced the deep hues of the mahogany wood. A fabulous addition to an otherwise ordinary room. Our walnut countertop will be reinstalled this next week after a marine finish is applied. I have no doubt, it will be stunning. I'm now convinced that Bob is a master craftsman who loves beautiful wood as much as my husband and I do. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Bob designed and constructed a massive wall unit/bookcase for our 60"TV in my husband's den and refinished a solid walnut countertop on our kitchen island which had developed spider cracks ("alligatoring").

Description of Work: This experience was better than expected. we had an ugly roof leak/stain in the breakfast area. After finding and addressing the leak, we wanted to avoid replacing the entire ceiling. To match the paint and texture, we would have had to re-do the entire sitting area, breakfast area, kitchen, and hallway, an expensive and messy proposition. Since my husband handled this, I expected some bead board and trim slapped up there. Instead, these folks designed an architectural feature, worthy of Southern Living! It consists of tongue and groove with deep, lavish molding. It is not just a common rectangle, as they cut the corners off. Don't know the geometrical term, but in gems it would be an Emerald Cut. They somehow accomodated six can lights and my stained-glass chandelier. The wood used was sanded as smooth as butter, and the painter was impressed at the fine work. The leak had left ugly water stains on my farmhouse table. They said that they could fix that too! It was returned in time for Christmas festivities, and looked better than it ever had. We plan to use these craftsmen again.

Description of Work: Bob and his crew built a 10' x 13' decorative ceiling in our kitchen eating area. Instead of just a knockdown ceiling, we now have a custom looking framed in bead board with custom molding.
