+ -1 moreI called Hughes for a quote to install a circuit for charging an electric car in my garage. They were used by an acquaintance. They came out and quoted me $950. That seemed high based on what others were paying. I then contacted one of the largest electrical firms in Orlando that had many great reviews here. They came out and did a very professional job for $450. They didn't know about the other quote. Glad I didn't use Hughes. Buyer beware.

+ -1 moreHad to call back to get them to send estimate, had to call back to get them to tell me when appt would be, (over a week out). Appt never showed, no notification or reschedule. When I called to see what happened, the girl said she would call me back....never did. So, after waiting a week with no HVAC, I called another company who showed same day, fix the problem in no time (per code) for less than half what Hughes quoted.
Description of Work: Rewire 220v line from Breaker Box to HVAC.

+ -1 moreThey stuck to the problems and cleaned up and put the stove back in the correct position.
Description of Work: The electric outlet for our stove burned out probably due to age so the stove did not work at all. We called on a Sunday just to leave a message and received a call that evening. We were told that someone would be able to come sometime Monday. I was surprised that we could get someone so soon. The repairmen were excellent and professional. We asked questions about other potential problems and received great suggestions. We even asked if the receptacle for the microwave could be replaced if they had the time. They did and it was. We will be calling them in the future for other work that we need done.

+ 0 moreI had three estimates done for the work i needed. Hughes Electric was the only company who showed up on the agreed upon date and time. I received the estimate in a timely manner and I was notified when it was sent. My work was scheduled in an acceptable amount of time. One the day of work, the electricians arrived ahead of schedule. They were very professional and represented their company well. The work was done quickly and efficiently. Hughes Electric handled scheduling with the power company, permitting, and inspections. I did not have to mess with any of that. We will be using Hughes Electric for all of our future electrical needs.
Description of Work: I had my panel replaced with a new panel and a ceiling fan replaced.

Description of Work: Back in June 2013 they installed a new 200 amp main breaker panel on the outside of my house. Their pricing was competitive with other electricians. They took care of scheduling with the power company and did the job just as they promised and for the price quoted. They put up with my barrage of questions, too. I called them six months later because the breakers had not been labeled and they came out at no charge to label the them. That required some testing to see what connected to what, which meant going under my house (yuck!). The workmen were great - they did the work without complaint and were conscientious of tracking dirt into my house by making efforts to not track it in. Presumably, the labels should have been done at the time of installation but the house was under renovation back then so perhaps that's why it wasn't done at that time. For them to make the separate trip back 6 months later at no charge speaks to their high caliber business ethics.

Description of Work: After first contact the estimator and owner showed up exactly on time to estimate the job and give me a date that the services would be performed. | |When that date arrived the two electricians actually came about a half hour early and proceeded with the job. All the work was done with an attention to detail and they cleaned the premises after the job was over. | |I intend to use them for all my future electrical work.
