Mike came when he said. He explained and showed me all of the survey points that I needed to know and was very pleasant.

We saw Michael Young Land Surveying on Angie's List and gave him a call. His response was quick and after receiving an estimate for services, we asked him to schedule a survey of our property. Our home is in an HOA and we were getting some differing opinions about our property lines. It is such a relief to have this survey. And Michael was professional, personable and prompt in getting this to us.

Hired Michael back in 10/19/2016 for a border survey. Paid Micheal $225.00 for the survey. Called Micheal twice leaving voice messages. As of 11/21/2016 I have not received any survey documents. I feel like I was scammed. Update 11/22/16: Today I went and picked up my documents.

Mike was terrific to deal with. He understood what type of survey I was asking for, responded quickly, then gave an estimate and date for the survey. He completed the survey when he said it would be done then sent documentation via email. His positive attitude, responsiveness, follow up and the cost for services have me highly recommending him. If then need arises for any type of surveying in the future he will be my first call.

Very east to work with - did almost everything through email which worked perfect for me. Had another quote that I though was a little high. His quote was within reason. It was a challenge because the plot of land was undeveloped, but, he got it done so we now know where to take trees down!

Very prompt. Did everything he said he would do and would definitely use him again.

The provider was friendly and professional. He preferred to schedule everything through email which made getting in contact with him a little difficult. He did however get copies (both hard and electronic copies) to me very quickly. Overall satisfied with the service and results.

There were no problems. I called them in the afternoon and they were out the next morning at 8 am. They completed the job the following day like they said they would. They got all of the surveying information to me. There were no hassles and they were prompt. It was fantastic.

Mike came on time and went to work right away. He got the job done efficiently and took his time explaining landmarks on the property as well as showing where our property lines were on the computer. We received a detailed report shortly after his visit. We were very pleased with his professionalism and would not hesitate to use his services again.

Michael & Terri have been absolutely great to work with, even long distance - from Detroit, no less. Emails are cordial and questions answered in a timely manner. Michael Young Land Surveying provided us with an up-to-date survey on three parcels of raw land we purchased in Bonita Springs. As we progress with home plans, it was discovered that we needed additional info in the form of elevations for our builder to calculate fill dirt, etc. If I happen to call, Mr. Young usually answers the phone himself - an added plus. I can highly recommend their services to anyone in need of survey work in their service area - TOP SHELF !

We contacted this company to do a survey on a property that we purchased. They went out to do it on the date we scheduled. They were excellent on doing the job and keeping us informed. I would highly recommend this company.

ded Quick response to my e-mails. Did a very professional job w/ the survey and e-mailed me the finished product before I even paid for the service. Offered to give them a credit card number over the phone if necessary, prior to the service. They said no.. we'll send you an invoice. Nice to find folks who trust the honesty of folks in these times. Online research indicated that I might have been able to get the job done for $25-50 less, but since I'm up in Michigan, I was more comfortable going w/ someone who was recommended on Angies List. So that's the only reason I gave them a B on pricing. But peace of mind is worth the extra cost. Would definitely recommend them.

He found out how many feet above sea level our house is, checked the house on all sides, and climbed on the roof to check its condition. He got back to us with his information that same day, so it could be submitted to our insurance in a timely manner.

Wonderful! He was very polite and professional and very fairly priced. In fact I was quite surprised at the fee he charged as it was lower than what I had anticipated and what I am accustomed to my customers paying for the same service. I would definetely use him again.

Mr. Young was able to help us out with an elevation certificate for a home that we were purchasing. I had spoken with him during the day, but didn't email him with the go ahead until 9 pm that night. He did the elevation survey the next day and I received the certificate via PDF on Friday morning. Then when my mortgage broker finally got around to telling us that we needed to order a survey as well, he was able to accommodate our short notice again and got us the full report within days. AND didn't charge us for the second visit!! We would definitely recommend him!

Communication was spotty when trying to lock down a time for him to preform work, but I have a feeling this was an isolated instance. In the end, Mike preformed the work he was paid to do. His paperwork was on point.

His work was excellent however the best part was his flexibility before the work when we had to cancel twice due to purchase issues. Mike was understanding and worked with us every time.

It went really, really well. . I called and Michael Young speedily scheduled the work. Before I knew it, the title company and lender had what they needed and Michael had emailed me a copy of the survey. Excellent experience.

I was just notified by FEMA earlier this month that due to a revision of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) 5-years ago (2008) I'm suddenly no longer eligible for the Preferred Risk Policy I've had since building my house in 1994, unless I can prove otherwise to them. They kindly advised me that my Flood Insurance premium was going to go up from $343 a year to over $1,400. At least they gave me an extra 5-years at the reduced rate before dropping that bomb on me. My insurance company suggested I get an Elevation Certificate and if my house was high enough I would be eligible for a reduced premium. They provided me with a list of 4 Survey Company's they've had dealings with before and told me I could expect to pay between $100-$350. After contacting 3 of them I chose Michael Young Land Surveying. He was the least expensive and had great reviews on Angies List which is always a key ingredient when I choose a company. - He returned my phone call within 10 minutes and was able to conduct the elevation survey the next morning. - I talked to him right before he conducted the survey and he was very friendly and informative. - He emailed me a PDF copy of the Elevation Certificate that evening which I immediately forwarded to my Insurance Company. - He mailed me a hard copy of the Elevation Certificate for my records which I received 2 days after the survey. Because of the elevation survey (Elevation Certificate) I was able to reduce my premiums from $1,400 to $383 a year. Thats the best $100 I've ever spent and it's going to keep paying for itself year after year. I strongly recommend anyone needing survey work done to contact Mr Young.

UPDATE ! I sent them my payment via Express Mail, and the work was performed right away. I've spoken with Mr. Young by phone a couple of times, and exchanged a few emails, and every single contact has been positive. Not only did they get the work done in a timely manner so we could proceed with closing on the property, they sent me the PDF file of the survey for my consumption while the printed version is in transit via U.S. Mail. I'm very impressed with the level of service, the technical ability, and the speed with which they accomplished this for us. If you want to hire a surveyor that goes "above and beyond" in terms of customer service and reliability, contact Michael Young.
