Mike Vinson came out to give an estimate, seemed like a nice, honest man. Sadly, his installation of a new AC system was a nightmare. It took many months to complete the installation up to code, as his initial installation failed inspection. He also did not inform us that his quote did not include electrical wiring (an additional $1000.) and misinformed us as to what was required for a roofer to "seal" the unit. After the installation was finally completed ten months after it needed to be finished, we had mold issues in the home because he did not properly install the drain for the system, and therefore all the air that was being blown into the home was going over standing water, which did not drain, because he had placed the drainage going uphill, so the water did not drain.

Our heat pump was nearly 25 years old and though it still worked it was certainly past the life expectancy and not very efficient. I received a quote for an American Standard heat pump and air handler from Vinson Air Conditioning and Heating. Mike did a review of the existing system and asked me questions about what I wanted from the new system. He provided a quote for a complete new system that was very price competitive and we agreed on the solution. I worked with Michelle to schedule the installation. She was very helpful before and after the installation to answer my questions and manage the county inspection request, warranty paperwork and rebate processing. Mike and Steve did a great job on the installation. They were right on time on the day of installation. The installation workmanship was of a high quality. They did a complete job of cleaning up after their work and explaining the information I needed regarding the new system. Dealing with the company was a pleasure and I recommend them highly to anyone looking for similar services.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Showed up right on time. They fixed one unit that was not cooling. They inspected and cleaned all my units. Another company (National Heating) wanted to replace an entire system yet Vinson fixed it with a $12 wire! I signed up for their planned service agreement and recommended them to my other family members. Very professional, informative and honest.

They were very thorough. We don't remember how much they charged us for the installation of the air-conditioner, but they were fair. They were honest and reliable. They were very good and we will use them again in the future.

They are very good. We are very pleased. They are excellent to work with. They are on time. If they say they are coming, they come. If we ever call, even on weekends, they show up.

They were very nice. I called Progressive and Progressive called them because I have a contract on all of my appliances. They were very pleasant and neat. They got the problem taken care of. I got a card recommending a check up but I have been on an annual basis and have had no problems. When he came out he called me to let me know he would be 5 or 10 minutes late but instead he was right on schedule.

My old ducts were falling apart, and when I found mold in them, knew I needed to replace the whole sstem-my old unit was at least 13 yrs old and had quit heating entirely. After 2 other estimates-one VERY high and the other from an unlicensed company- I joined Angies List and called 2 companies to come out and give me estimates. Vinsons came that same day, and the price was actually a bit less than the unlicenced company! Plus they gave me a tax rebate and Mike sat down and explained all my options, even though it was almost 8:00. Within 1 week I had anew unit and ducts, they removed the old duct work, and did a great job-my utility bill is lower, the house is cleaner and smells better, A mont later I called them b/c the far bedroom wasnt as cool as the rest of the house, and they came right back to rebalance the cooling and check the unit for free, no questions asked. I am so grateful that I used Angies list and found Vinsons, especilly because as a single woman with kids, it can be hard to find trustworthy workmen, amd this company was better than expected. I will definately use them again and reccomend them

They always kept us in formed as to what was happening, his team was always clean, neat, and very polite. They gave us a time line for starting and completion that work out perfectly for us. They always called as to when they would arrive, if they needed to stop and get additional supplies they let us know. Overall they where very professional from the beginning to the end.I wish that all the contractors that I had hired over the years where as honest, professional and considerate of our property as they where.
