 + -1 moreWhen you drop off a computer at Zone Red, you can pay extra for same day service or leave it for about 3 days. I left mine, got an cost quote by phone after it had been examined, and it was ready to pick up at the time it was promised. Patrick was pleasant and helpful. When I asked about the price of a battery backup they were selling in the shop, he got on the computer and found the same one at a sale price at another store and sent me there. I sure appreciate the way he looks out for his customers.
Description of Work: On one occasion I had the screen on a laptop replaced. On another occasion a desktop needed a new CD/DVD drive and new memory sticks.

 + -1 moreGood and prompt service. We were unable to connect to the internet via Brighthouse before we had it serviced. Still couldn't connect after it was returned. Red Zone was able to connect to the internet at their location. After Brighthouse made a house call, it was determined we needed a router, even after they replaced the cable box. It was a provider issue and not fixable by Red Zone. We now have a router and internet service and an up-to-date laptop thanks to Red Zone.
Description of Work: Updating of system and programs and virus check. The laptop is 4 years old and needed a tune up.

 + -1 moreI took it in to him to see why the fan wasn't working-sometimes I could start it and sometimes it wouldn't. It turns out it was the motherboard that was ruined and had to buy a new PC. He was a nice guy and very friendly.

 + -1 moreBefore I called Zone Red I got one other estimate from Angie's List. This company wanted to charge $190.00 (two hour minimum) for a diagnosis plus parts. He needed to take the CPU to his shop and call me in a few days. Patrick was so much easier to work with. He combined his diagnosis fee with his labor fee so it was only $25.00 + parts $49.00 + tax $3.43. He gave me back the original part. It was a pleasure to work with Patrick. He is very up front with his costs and tells you beforehand what you will have to pay for any repairs. No surprises!
Description of Work: My computer stopped working completely and I was unable to boot it. I called Patrick for an estimate and he informed me there was a $25.00 diagnose fee if I brought the CPU to his shop, otherwise he would charge $ 75.00 if he came to my home. So I unplugged the wires in the back of the machine (easy) and dropped off the CPU on a Monday morning. He advised me that the problem could be a few things but thought it was the power supply motor. Since he was very busy, he told me it would be Wednesday (two days) before he could get to my job. On Wednesday, 9:00 AM, Patrick called and confirmed it was the power supply and it would cost $49.00 to install a new one. I agreed and within a half hour he put in the new part. At 10:00 AM I picked up my machine and had it up and running at my home within a half hour.

 + -1 morePatrick repaired my notebook in 2 days. He repaired both the HDD and also the AC power connection port inside the machine.
Description of Work: I had dropped my notebook onto a hard surface and broke the power cord connection and the computer would not boot up. I asked Patrick to do a diagnosis on the computer to determine if it was cost effective to fix. Patrick fixed the HDD first and then the power cord connection.
