Extremely satisfied with the paint application. The team covered all light fixtures, floors and mirrors. We had a return visit by the team to clean up scrapes, scuffs and errors from the multiple vendors and contractors doing the kitchen remodel. The owner responsive daily to questions and the teams attention to details.

It went great! Lance is extremely personable and responsive. Unfortunately the Florida summer weather wreaked havoc with our schedule. Lance was very apologetic but you can apologize for nature. The guys were very courteous and made sure we were happy with the results. The willingly worked with and around other contractors we had at the house. I would use hem again in a heartbeat. The team sprayed and backrolled. They trenches along the edge of the house to ensure full coverage. They took care of caulking and patch work as needed. It felt great knowing I was in good hands.

Painting job went really well. Sean and Jeremy were prompt and polite, and did an excellent job over the day and a half of work. Lance came by the house often to check in and supervise as needed. Lance also came and fixed a hole in our wall (left from some electrical work we had done earlier), which I hadn't factored into the original job. He patched the wall perfectly and it looks great!

Lance and his team were very professional. They have lots of experience and were persistent in delivering a quality product. I was also impressed by how responsive Lance was to inquiries. We communicated by text and phone, and he answered quickly. I texted him detailed photos and measurements of the project and he priced it based on that. Other contractors I called about this project were slow in responding, and that concerned me. Lance on the other hand was prompt and professional. I could have chosen a cheaper contractor, but felt that it was better to pay a little more for the level of service that I did in fact receive.

Beyond expectation. I wish other contractors were like Lance it would make remodeling a lot less stressful!

Lance and crew were able to start work with short notice. All work was professional and as requested. Great job overall.

Painted whole house top to bottom, ceilings, walls, baseboards, doors, and garage. Lance was very responsive on initial contact. Came out to give an estimate on Thursday December 1st. My husband and I took a day to think about it. The price was a little more then what we were hoping, however, Lance offered to paint the three car garage for just the price of material. Another determining factor was the timeframe. We wanted to have the home painted, or mostly painted, prior to moving our furniture in 10 days later. Lance said he could start right away and we would prioritize rooms as the move got closer. We agreed to hire him. He came and got the key to our home from us that night (Friday) with promise that he would start as soon as he received the key. He said to save time and money that we should remove all window blinds and valances, which my husband and I did that night. I was under the impression that he would be starting the next day (Saturday) by prepping the house. He did drop off some of the materials on Saturday but did not start anything until Monday. Lance was very helpful with recommendations on paint finishes. They removed all light fixtures and covered vents, cabinets, and hardwood floors. We were going to replace the carpet so we told Lance and his team not to worry about covering it up. They caulked and patched holes on the windows, baseboards, door jams, and walls. They cleaned and sanded down the doors and spot primed as needed. We did consult with Lance and came up with a game plan as to where to “store” our furniture and boxes once we moved in. We ended up putting our items in the garage and the middle of each room since they were painting the baseboards last. We told Lance and his team to let us know which area they were going to be painting and we could move boxes out of the way. We were also replacing the roof and HVAC system at the same time so they did have other obstacles to work around including my three month old. They completed everything on December 21st. Overall, everything was done and done very well. It took a little longer then my husband and I expected but it was a very big job with lots of work that needed to be done. We are so happy with the way it turned out. Lance and his team were all very courteous and professional. We did hire Lance to come back and paint some of the exterior boards that were replaced when the roof was completed.

Lance Muffley and his crew's work was superior!! They were extremely accommodating, timely, pleasant, and truly hard workers. They took great care with their craftsmanship and worked well with us in our short timeframe. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants superior work done in their home. We will be using for all our projects in the future!

Lance Muffley is an amazing painter and has a great personality as well. That's a rare find with painters that I've worked with in the past. If you need any drywall repair or someone to match the knockdown texture--you need to hire Lance. Past companies have tried their best to match existing knockdown textures, and while no one will ever match it perfectly---Lance and his team come about 99% close and only the most critical eye could notice the slight difference. His estimates were higher than the others that I received, but I definitely made the correct choice hiring him. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him for any painting project you have.

The experience with Home and Pride Painting was phenomenal. Lance hires a staff that pays attention to detail and care about their work. The inside of the condo looks infinitely better than better the job was started. Lance is extremely patient with any questions and is responsive to any requests. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Lance responded to a request for proposals I think I submitted via Angie's List (I forget!) for popcorn ceiling removal for a new condo I had purchased. I had a couple of bids, and Lance's wasn't the lowest, but as we walked through my unit and he heard what my needs were (painting throughout, some drywall patching in a few places, etc.), he expanded the proposal to include not only the ceiling scrape, retexture, and paint, but all walls, too. Because I was going minimalist with white everywhere, and my floors were going to be redone, he and his crew were able to knock out several projects of mine without as much prep work (like covering floors) . It was much more money than I wanted to spend, but for the amount of work and additional things Lance took care of for me, seemed quite fair for the labor involved. It was a big job! He kept me posted on any challenges, like covering ceiling patches (where it looked like a leak repair had been done before). There was a mishap due to some shoddy plumbing issues in my unit and he totally took care of the damage, no questions, or follow-up needed, etc. I really liked working with Lance, he's down to earth, responsive, and I feel I got what I paid for and would definitely use him again.

Tried to upscale me to paint ceilings and doors that weren't needed. Said the work would take 5 days when my other guy did it in 3 days. Recommended doing the work before redoing my flooring, which would have been a huge mistake. Lots of bad advice. Declined the work.

LANCE IS THE BEST!! This is the second time I"ve hired Lance to paint my house. In 2014 he painted the exterior of my home and in Nov/Dec 2015 he painted the interior and the garden pergola. I would never hire another painter. He supervises his crew closely and was always available by cell phone to answer my questions or discuss options. The pergola was an incredible project because he had to trash rotted boards and then replace them. Then, because I live in Florida, he had to research which chemicals or paint compounds would add longevity despite the sun and rain. He consulted with the Sherwin Williams company rep to see which product would perform the best. I AM THRILLED with my radiant, chinese red pergola!!! Of course the interior of my house looks fantastic: no spills on my brand new floors, no overspray on the windows and the crew helped out with little things along the way. Home Pride is not the cheapest team in town, but usually you get what you pay for in life.

Lance & team were great to work with & saved us money. Every other bid I pulled wanted to remove and replace all the triple crown-molding in a bedroom, whereby Lance suggested we see how it looks if they sand it/paint over the area that had some minor buckling (from water damage). It looked great & unnoticeable after he fixed it. They did a good job with all the drywall fixes (large areas), and came very close to matching the knock-down texturing (everyone warned me it would be hard to recreate a perfect match). His team did a great job & even helped me going above & beyond with misc extras... Really great guys & we will most certainly use them again.

The owner, Lance, is a charming, knowledgeable and interesting guy that inspires confidence. I have little doubt that his capabilities exceed his performance in our case. This belief is supported by the fact that Home Pride has many A ratings on Angie's List. The quoted price was substantially higher than other quotes that we received. Lance explained the difference as being due to a higher level of attention to detail and quality. I can appreciate that, so we proceeded with Home Pride. Compared to similar work that we've contracted for in the past, the attention to detail wasn't there. Certain areas that require attention to to detail (e.g., wainscoting) didn't turn out well. The crew had to come back multiple times to touch up several areas in which the underlying color appeared through the new coat. In at least one room, the paint hasn't fully cured, two months later; this issue was brought to Lance's attention and I was told it would be addressed, but it wasn't. The crew dripped and tracked paint around the house- including on furniture- and left much of it for us to clean up and some, such as on a leather chair can't be cleaned up. Messes were left on our deck and near the outside water spigot, where they washed their tools. Compared with past experiences with painters in Tampa, I found Home Pride to be very expensive, often late to arrive and early to leave, slow, sloppy and careless. The post-job support was good up to a point.

Lance and his guys were fantastic! Originally I was just going to have the ceiling done. While Lance was here, he asked me if I wanted them to paint more rooms. We went around and got a list going and worked out a price (we had bought the wall paint already). They removed the popcorn and put a light knockdown. What a difference. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great crew, very dependable, good work. Painted all walls, trim and ceilings in large living area, kitchen, den, hallway, and playroom. Lance is very sincere about his craft and respectful of the owner's wishes and property. Well done.16

It went well! My fiance and I were very impressed with Lance when he came to give us a quote on services. He spent a lot of time pointing out little details about the work we needed that other companies did not address. He had the highest price out of everyone we got quotes from but we just liked him the most so we figured it was worth it. His team completed our project in 3-4 days. The paint looks great and the advice and guidance Lance offered though the process was very helpful. We are going to hopefully hire lance again to do out exterior soon! I wouldn't say Lance is the most cost effective option but you get what you pay for and noone wants a bad paint job. It's worth paying a little extra to get someone who really knows what he is doing.

Lance was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He made good suggestions on paint selection and priming the repaired wall which was completed by the homeowner. He was priced very competitively. We were able to start the project in a couple of days (fortuitous timing). Lance and Scott arrived on time the first day. They assisted in moving the furniture out of harms way and replacing it when they were finished. He was able to blend the new orange peel to the old reasonably well. He was honest and straight forward about the limits of matching new to old. It turned out very nicely. The project was completed in the estimated 2 days. We supplied the paint based on Lance's conservative estimate. We did need to get one more gallon but we knew that was a possibility from the estimate discussion. They cleaned up well. I only found a couple of stray drips that were easily dealt with. We discussed a second major paint project and expect that we will use him again.

The removal of the Popcorn Ceiling was a big job in and of itself. Lance warned us that it would be. When they got to the hall leading to kitchen and family rooms, a problem came up with that ceiling which was not entirely a surprise to us as we had had issues in that hall in the past. When Lance was showing us the problem and what needed to be replaced his finger when through the ceiling and at that point my husband said "replace all of it." It also meant we had to call the roofer back and some flashing was replaced. Home Pride Painting did a lot of prep work. Our carpets were being replaced so we told them if they needed to pull up the carpet, cut it back, whatever - it didn't matter to us. They did not need to paint most of the doors (of which numbered eight). However they did paint all the trim around the doors plus they painted another 4 doors in the extended family room and a pair of French doors. Those doors, along with all trim, originally had been painted in oil paint so they needed to be roughed before they would accept the latex paint. We were told the job would take 7 to 10 working days but it did take longer due to the problems that needed to be fixed in the ceiling that was replaced in one of the halls. They worked every day until they finished and on some days we had as many as 3 men working on prep or repair in addition to painting. When they finished Lance told us they would return to do touch up if needed after the new carpet was installed. About 2 weeks later before I had a chance to call him Lance called me to ask how the carpet installation was progressing. I was just getting ready to call him as during the carpet installation the 4 doors in the extended family room had to be removed so the carpet could be laid and there was some peeling of paint off those doors. He sent Danny over in a couple of days to do the touch ups. Danny was not satisfied with how the paint was holding up on these particular doors and ended up spending the entire day at the house completely redoing those doors. They seem to be holding up well now. There was someone working every day with the exception of Sundays. All workers were polite and cleaned up after themselves. We were pleased. As an added note, I had 3 bids which ranged from $3500 to Lance's price. I found out that trying to verify the licenses through the city is not an easy task. Lance was the only one that had a license starting with a PA. A employee in Tampa City Hall told me that if you hire a painter they must have a license starting with PA otherwise they are not licensed to paint. One of the bids had a contractor's license, the other one I could never find where or how his license was listed.
