It was expensive, but the cats had ruined the original leather and I wanted them covered in microfiber because that is impervious to cat claws.
Description of Work: Dave came with swatches of the material I requested for the reupholstering of 5 dining room chairs. After I chose the color I wanted and gave him a $200 deposit, he left. Several weeks later I called, he had gotten the material, and he came to pick up the chairs. When he brought them back in about 3 weeks, they were beautifully redone.

I dropped off the chairs and was told it would take four weeks, possibly three weeks, to complete the job. When five weeks passed by, I called on a Friday to check on the status of the chairs. When Dave, the owner, got on the phone I had to remind him what chairs they were and when they were dropped off because he couldn't remember. Once I refreshed his memory he said, and quot;Oh yeah, those chairs. They haven't been touched yet. I may be able to complete them by the end of next weekand quot;. At that point I said I would call him on the following Monday to see if he would have a better idea of the work week ahead to which he responded and quot;Calling on Monday won't helpand quot; and that was the end of that. I could not wait any longer on these chairs to be completed. They had already been there for five weeks and would be going into the sixth week if he could even get to them. I decided that Friday afternoon that I called to go in and pick the chairs up and do them myself. When I showed up and said I wanted the chairs back, Dave went to collect them and as he brought them to me asked, and quot;So you couldn't wait an extra week?and quot;. I told him I needed them for a gathering I was having that next week and could not wait. Dave got very disrespectful at this point, put the chairs down and replied, and quot;Fine, take them. I don't care what you doand quot;, then walked away. Thank goodness one of his employees was standing there and witnessed this. I am 37 weeks pregnant and obviously needed help taking these chairs and cushions back to the car. Since Dave decided to walk away and let me deal with it, his employee was kind enough to help me take everything to my car. I would never do business with Dave again or recommend him. It's been quite a long time since I have seen this level of disrespect from a business owner.

Nice job..... Just took a couple of months!
Description of Work: I had written the previous review and was not able to update it..... The company did come through and finish the job.... Dave did promise to drop the left over materials which I have not seen. He did do a very nice job.... Just took a couple of months....

Description of Work: I called for a quote of which Dave responded, came over and gave me requesting a $50 retainer stating he would not be able to work on for 3 weeks. 4 weeks later I called, he at first acted like not remembering who I was, then stated that he was going on vacation and would not get to the job till week of July 9th. I will update review if he follows through or file a complaint with the BBB if not.

Dave Heinold's Upholstery was good because their staff was able to walk me through the entire process. It is also a good alternative to save money rather than buying complete new furniture sets. They have very reasonable prices and they do great work.
