We obtained quotes from about 5 companies. Some sales reps were over-the-top and talked excessively, some were very impersonal and almost robotic in their sales pitch, and another apparently thought he was wasting his time and was in and out in a matter of minutes. When we met with Austin of Bozarth Contractors, he was very personable and thorough in explaining the brands of windows and the benefits of each. My husband and I discussed window selections and costs for months, and Austin checked in with us periodically but not annoyingly frequent. We decided to go with Bozarth because of Austin's thoroughness and vast knowledge, and because Bozarth does not use sub-contractors for installation. Our PGT impact windows were delivered within the estimated time-frame, and they were installed within a week of arriving at the warehouse. The installation process went very smooth, and there was zero damage during the process of removing 50-year-old windows and installing new ones. We went with mostly sliders, and a couple of casement windows which flank a large picture window. They look wonderful and we couldn’t be more pleased with the process, product and company.

Great quality teams showed up on-time and stayed late when necessary. Always left the house secure and dry. Kept every space clean and did not damage any of the antique trim inside the house. Any rotted wood outside was replaced with quality preasure treated wood, and did not charge extra. Management was prompt and easy to reach for questions. Always returned calls and emails. Sales team did not preasure or upsale us on equipment or services, gave us exactly what we asked for. Even some changes after the bid were reasonably priced. Quality and professional work.

They came on the day agreed on, but were late, with no call to me informing me of the delay. But extra installers were sent, and all windows were installed that day. All employees were professional and polite. All debris was removed. I am very happy with my new windows.

Avoid at all cost. The issues began the day the were supposed to start work. They initally called to say they would have to reschedule because an installer called out. Little did we know it would be a month long saga with tens of wasted hours on the phone and fixing the damages to our house. So the day of install, we already took off from work, removed all the blinds, and everything within 3 feet of windows, so our part was done. They eventually were able to get an installer out to us but late in the day. Then they didnt have the tools they needed. This caused us to not be able to finish on time. Then they didnt want to come back for several days to finish the job. They finally get out and finish install, but wait there is more. They cause a lot of damage to the walls around our windows, which required hours of patching, texturing, and repainting. They caused damage to marble windowsills and the windows would not lock. They had to take locks from working windows to get all the windows to lock, so almost half the windows didnt have all their locks. They assured us they would be out to complete. The manager responsible, Chuck, was a nightmare to work with. He would not answer or return calls. We were not kept informed. We had to stay on top of them to get anywhere. When we did get a hold of Chuck, he denied any knowledge of the follow up work and he was supposed to be coordinating everything. So you know they had no intention of completing job. Chuck told us at that time he would check on sils and call back. He didnt call back, instead later we found out he was sending texts to our land line and ignoring the error messages as it bounced back to him. He then lied to use saying window manufaturer called us about repairs. I called the window manufacturer who advised we never called you. 30 days later still wasnt repaired. Had to take more time calling to finally get them out to repair issues. It took an hour and a half to complete job. They drug their feet for a month over an hour and a halfs work to complete job. More damage was done to walls from yanking out one of the damaged sills. Avoid at all costs. This company will move on to the next paying job instead of doing the right thing. Their installs dont take simple steps like using a block of wood before prying directly against your walls. Quick and dirty and move on.

Response from Bozarth Contractors
We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the time it took to complete your project and the communication you received. Our records do not indicate any missed install dates. We show that we were initially scheduled to install the job on December 8th and we show we did install December 8th. We were unable to complete the job in December 8th due to the fact that the windows were very difficult to take out. We did not want to damage the stucco so we deglazed all of the glass which takes a lot of time. We did not have any notes from our installer are service guy or from you that we damaged any stucco. Since we were unable to complete the job on Friday we asked the customer if we could come out Saturday after we completed another job and we let the customer know that it may not be able to get done. We were in communication with the customer through the day Saturday keeping them up to date on the possibility of our arriving on Saturday. We were unable to make it out on Saturday so we sent the guys out first thing Sunday morning to complete the job on the December 10th. Upon completion of the job there were several locks that were broken so in order to secure the customers house we took locks from existing windows which had 2 in order that we had every window locking before we left. We let the customer know that we would turn in a field service to the manufacturer and that they typically are 4-5 weeks out for replacement. The customer at this time was satisfied and paid us for completion of the project. On January 4th the customer called our office very upset that their service had not been completed and that Chuck was not returning any phone calls. Our records do not indicate any messages were left for Chuck during this time frame. We contacted the manufacturer immediately in January 4th to get a status update in the service and we were told that they had already reached out to the customer and left a message trying to schedule their service for January 30th. Chuck called the customer back on January 4th and provided them this information as well as the contact number to the person who he talked to. At this time the customer asked Chuck what we were doing about the broken window sills and Chuck informed the customer that he dropped the ball on the sills, apologized and let them know we would get them taken care of. The customer also said that they were not happy about waiting until the 30th to get their service complete. Chuck asked the customer to text him a picture of the window sills color and he would check on the window sills and service schedule and text back to the customer. On The same day January 4th we texted customer as discussed asking for some dates the following week that they would be available for us to come out. The following day Friday January 5th we followed up with another text due to no response and we still did not get a response nor did we receive a text back saying that this was a land line. On Monday morning around 8am Chuck received a phone call with from this unhappy customer. Chuck informed the customer that we were trying to schedule something but had not gotten a response. The customer said we could come out that day which was January 8th and we were able to accommodate that. We take a lot of pride in our customer service after the sale and it is very important to us to meet the high expectations that residential home improvements demand. We apologize for not doing that in this case.

Excellent experience overall. Quote was among the lowest prices that we received. We received excellent service from our project manager. Installers came on the promised date and completed work on schedule. Work was of an excellent quality, and everyone involved was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions during the process.

From start to finish, this company was superb. The utmost kudos to my Sales Consultant, Austin Hendrickson, for his high skills, knowledge, and professionalism. I cannot say enough positive things about this man. The installers did a great job. Everything was a no nonsense experience. I thoroughly recommend this outfit to be contracted for your door and window needs. The price was quite competitive and the product was better than expected and surpassed all others that I researched before I chose Bozarth ( I had 12, twelve, estimates before making my decision). Am patting myself on the back, too, for going with Bozarth. I hope to see them again and habe them replace windows in asecond home that we have. CWS products and window makers should be commended, also, for their customer service, and backing of their product. I am really happy with these windows,...their look and what they offered. Other companies I had give me estimates were high pressure, wasted alot of my time, and the salesmen did not know enough about their product to properly fill the needs and wants that I was looking for. Austin Hendrickson did not waste my time, was very patient with me, and made himself personally available thru out my selection/decision making time, while we scheduled the installation, and after thebwork was done. I have to say that Austin gave me the best impression and came through with Golden colors in every way possible. A.BIG thank you to Austin, Bozarth company and employees, and to CWS and their employees for everything. You can do your own research, I assure you that Bozarth will not dissapoint.

As far as the job; they were EXCELLENT from start to finish!!!!! I have been very impressed. We are now just waiting to schedule a final inspection and approval of the windows. To start, Austin came out and gave us a quote along with several others. I initially contacted Bozarth's for a quote because of their previous review's here on Angie's List. Bozarth Contractors gave us a fair quote. We were in a tight pinch because we don't live full-time in our condo and were headed home. They came back out and did a hard measure before we left. They ordered the windows. When they came in they called to set up installation. Since we were coming for out of state to be there for the installation, I confirmed the day before and got a quick response from Austin that we were all set to go...permits and all! On installation day, a gentleman named Tom came out and worked very hard to carefully take out the old windows as not to mess up any of the condo's stucco work and installed the new windows. Tom did a great job!!! He was a very hard worker who cared about how his work was done. Finding reputable people/companies to do work in your home who do as they say they will is very hard BUT Bozarth Contractors at this point has come through with FLYING COLORS!!! Just the inspection is left and I am confident we will pass.

This is my fourth experience having impact windows installed in a home (we did our prior home with two different contractors, and a very small job at my current home with one of the same companies). For this job, Bozarth replaced about 90% of the glass in the house, and after working with them I wish I had used them on the prior jobs. The salesman was never pushy, and very knowledgeable about the product and process and was able to help me envision how certain aspects of the job could be done in different ways (they reconstructed the front entry way for a much more modern look with the new doors). The whole team was very responsive to any questions I had through the bid process, and once the contract was signed remained communicative regarding lead time for the product order and install schedule. I am very satisfied with their work – everything is caulked in nicely, and the crew always cleaned up thoroughly every day. Even the city inspector commented several times as he reviewed the work that it had been a while since he’d seen everything fitted, installed, and trimmed up so well and that he thought they did an excellent job. I highly recommend Bozarth for residential impact windows and doors. We had multiple bids on this project and one of the other companies tried to discourage me from anything construction-related such as heightening the front doors because they were not licensed to do it. I had to make no compromises with Bozarth as they do it all. We’ve done a lot of renovation to this house and just about everything has had various unexpected hassles or issues except for this – it was a seamless experience, and they were cost-competitive to the other bids I received as well. ---Joe

No word from Bozarth regarding our refund. Since Rich showed up but did could not finish the job, we don't see why should Bozarth be holding all $300 of our money. Chuck's excuse was that they ordered the product right away. Why? Because we paid them a hefty 50% down payment - that was why they ordered it right away so we would not cancel the order. He said that they stored our doors for over 6 months. Fact is- The doors were ordered in Dec and ready for pick up in June. The first call was scheduled for March. So where is the 6 months' storage as argued? If we had known that there was a problem with the storage we would not have gone with Bozarth. We had told Austin from the start that this is a custom manufactured home and since we were told that it would take about two months to have the custom doors ready we went ahead and ordered it. No mention of additional fees were charged when we signed the contract. Austin wanted our business and wanted us to sign the contract and pay the down payment. No mention of storage fees etc. All of a sudden Chuck is using that as an excuse to hold our $300 payment when it was labor for trimming the doors. The storage of the doors had nothing to do with the $300. Chuck, Please have your facts clear. Rich had been to our house a few times simply because Rich was not able to complete the door the first time. The second time when he was, he found the opening was bigger than expected. The third time he showed up late so he could not do anything. So was it our fault for him not being able to finish the door the first time? If he had finished the doors in one day he would have found out that the opening was larger and we would be able to address it immediately. When he called us the second time we were out of town so we had to call the builder to check with the manufacturer. Yes, Bozarth did not need to trim the doors but it was not for free. We were charged $300 but work that had not been performed. Upon checking we found that the front door was rubbing against each other. So the installation is not up to perfection as argued.
Description of Work: We had met with many, many, many door contractors but finally chose Austin from Bozarth Contractors simply because their price was reasonable and they would hold the door for us while our house was being built. Paid $5033 which was half the deposit for 3 doors in Dec, 2016. Told Austin that we would inform him when the house was ready for the doors to be installed. The doors were ready earlier than expected so we had to cancel each time we were told of the scheduling. Finally the house was ready for the doors to be installed and was scheduled for June 5, 2017. Rich was not able to finish installing all the 3 doors so he came the following week to install the sliding glass door the following week. When he realized that the opening was larger than the door he called us to let us know that we should either get a bigger door to fit the opening or add a trim to the opening to fit the door. We told him not to do anything till we talked to the home manufacturer. After weeks of negotiating we could not get any response from the manufacturer. So we decided to pay the $300 as additional charge to have Rich add the trim to fit the door on July 15. Rich did not show up on July 15 but when he finally showed up on July 16 it was already very late. He told us that he would not be able to finish the door but have to return the following week again to finish the door. We did not realize that our contractor had already scheduled for the door inspection the following week. So it would be too late for Rich to finish the door. As a result, we had to pay the contractor to install the trim so it can pass inspection. We requested a refund from Chuck but per Chuck's text dated 7/23/17 he would take a look at the hours they had put into our job and discuss possible credit on Monday July 24.

Response from Bozarth Contractors
We are sorry to hear that you are upset. We try very hard to go above and beyond for each customer that affords us the opportunity to work with them and we feel as though we have done that for you. You contracted this job on December 5th 2016 with the expectation that your house would be ready for install early February 2017. I spoke to your wife several times in January looking for ETA's as to the completion of your home and she communicated to me that things were running behind with your builders. After several more phone calls in the month of February you guys decided to set an install date the week of March 6th. I received a phone call from you a day or two before the install date stating that the openings for your windows and doors were not built yet and you were not ready for the install. I was fortunately able to swap your install dates with another customer so everyone was happy. A few days before the next scheduled install date I received a similar phone call stating that your openings were still not ready for windows and doors so we canceled date again. We were extremely busy during this timeframe booked in advance three weeks for installs and I was doing everything I could to keep all of our customers happy with scheduled installs so It was at this time that I asked that we schedule no more dates until your window and door openings were completed. The last week of May you called and said that your openings were built and you were ready for install a 3rd time. We were able to get you on the schedule for install June 10th. When we arrived we were able to install two of the three doors due to the fact your builder made one of the openings 3" too tall. We immediately called you and offered a few options that were available and we asked that you quickly advise us as to what you wanted to do, we were there and ready to complete the job. You were unable to make a decision as to how you wanted to handle the oversized opening so we left the job site with one opening uninstalled. You made a decision a month later to install the doors that was too short. We recommended against this due to the fact that you had a special haft siding and trim on the outside. We felt as though the look would not be well received and that you should get with your builder to purchase a door that would fit the opening that he created since it was their fault that they built the opening too big. You guys were under the gun to get your occupancy so you decided against our recommendation and so we came out to complete the job on July 7th.While we were out installing the door your contractor was adamant that we frame in the opening to fit the door and since our installer was unable to make contact with management he did as requested to assure a satisfied customer. On July 8th we sent you an email with an invoice for $300 along with a list of items that were needed to frame in the opening. You paid the invoice and asked that we come out and put trim around the outside of a swing door. We recommended against this due to the fact that the standard trim we use was not going to match what was done on the rest of the house and you decided that you wanted us to come out and finish with standard trim against our recommendation. We came out on a rainy Saturday to install the trim as discussed. I received a phone call from my installer stating that you were asking him to install a custom trim around your door unlike our discussion beforehand. I spoke to you on the phone and we agreed to go purchase custom trim (at no charge to you) . My installer made it known at that time that he would need to go and purchase the custom trim and since the weather was horrible it would need to be completed the following weekend due to the fact that he was out of town the upcoming week. When he arrived the next weekend the trim was complete and you had him staining a door. I received a meager from you saying since the trim was complete that you wanted me to pay my installer to stain your door. I immediately called my installer to find out what was going on and he told me that you made a deal with him to stain the door and that you would pay him directly. I informed my installer to leave the job site immediately and advised you that we have completed your project and that we would not be staining his door. We have completed all that we were contracted for and then some and we feel that you have taken advantage of ours and our installers willingness to make a customer happy.

Great product and good experience! I would definitely recommend Bozarth Contractors. As our home improvement projects come up, I typically search Angie’s List for contractors. On one of my searches to enclose my lanai, I came up with Bozarth Contractors in St. Petersburg for sunroom enclosures. I’m so glad I found them! My first contact with Bozarth Contractors was with Austin Hendrickson, their residential window and door specialist who met with me to go over my project, give me suggestions and provide me with an estimate. He arrived promptly as scheduled. Austin was knowledgeable and professional. He asked the right questions and offered choices and solutions for completing my project. The meeting was not a pressured sales pitch, which would have totally turned me off. I felt it was an honest discussion on what Bozarth Contractors could do for me with regard to my project, my window and door solutions, and to go over their installation process. The estimate I received was fair and competitive. Each day of installation, Rich and Matt arrived promptly as scheduled. With Rich as the lead installer and with Matt assisting, I couldn’t ask for a better team of professionals. They were polite and efficient. They approached every task with understanding, professionalism and good attention to detail. They worked with Chuck to find solutions as needed. Rich and Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with the installation and their work. Bozarth Contractors is very fortunate to have them. It is obvious that Rich and Matt take pride in their work because the result is excellent. Amazingly it was only a 2-day installation. Austin, our project manager, and Chuck, the project supervisor came out to check on the progress and made sure there were no issues and that I was completely satisfied with the job. I would definitely do business with them again and would highly recommend them for sunroom enclosures without reservation.

Bozarth is great all around. From Austin who sold us the product to Chuck who managed the product. The installers, Rich and Matt were awesome. Also, we priced the windows out with 3 different companies. They were the best price in addition to best quality. I would highly recommend these Bozarth

Amazing. I read the reviews from a bunch of places before I contacted Bozarth. Their reviews were awesome so I called them up. I was put in touch with Austin who came out to my place, evaluated my wants, and showed me products. These guys are consummate professionals and if you know Florida you know that isn't always the case. They have their **** together and Austin and Chuck worked hard to get me the best deal on high quality windows for my place and took the time to come out, take measurements, go over the specifics of what would change since my house was built in 1925 (and still had the original windows). Call these guys and be 100% confident that they will go above and beyond to make sure your project is done to perfection. Wish all contractors were this good. Thanks guys!

This process started in October and finished yesterday, Jan 15th. I wanted a storm/screen door in addition to the entry door, but they did not sell them. So I would provide my own storm doorI wrote down the measurements he gave me, relying, to my detriment, on Bozarth's salesmans' expertise, and gave a $1053 check for half the charge. A few days later another man came to verify measurements, upon whose expertise I relied, to my detriment, before ordering the entry door which should take 4-5 weeks. I found the glass door with change out to screen for summer that I loved, but it was not carried in store. So bought on line from Home Depot Nov 2nd, paid $99.00 for shipping and It arrived in about 3 weeks. After Christmas I called to get an update on installation. It had been 10 weeks since I'd heard from Bozarth and figured that they should have the door by now. Clearly, Home Depot has more efficient shipping arrangements than Bozarth. Sure enough I received call a day or so later and we set the installation for Jan 4th. I was told the installer liked to start early and would be at my house around 8:30. Since retirement, I don't want to see or talk to anyone before noon. I muttered something about who was being catered to, customer or installer. He then asked what time, so I agreed to 10:00. All was well until time for screen door. It didn't fit. I showed the installer (Rich -- great guy) my notes on the measurements (did I mention that I did not receive a copy of the contract upon signing?) and very glad I did . . . and didn't lose them. I was upset of course, especially after what it cost to get it here, how long I'd waited for work to be done and thought I would have to pay to ship it back, which I couldn't do on my own, I'm 70 and wrangling heavy glass doors are out of my weight class. Rich was eager to fix the problem and volunteered to take it back if Home Depot would accept it; i got the ok and that is what we did yesterday. Returned great door and picked up an almost-suitable replacement and ate $99. Rich is the hero in this story. He did this on his own time, I found out later, so no OT from Bozarth on this Sunday installation. Rich earned all credit for job well done. Bozarth took no responsibility for this mess except the salesman showing up unannounced on the Amy of entry door installation. He was unctiously apologetic and handed me a copy of the contract. After a respectful amount of time gushing apologies, he asked for full payment. I said no, the job was not done. He called his boss and boss said collect the money for entry door, leaving off screen door installation. So I paid up with a bitter taste in my mouth, knowing that I would never do business with them again. Except for Rich. He's the best. There's an ad on tv with the line, "in no hurry to get anything done". That's my experience with Bozarth except for prompt payment, that, they will hurry to accomplish. But, then, they also hurry away from an unnecessary expense their mistake costs the customer (who relies upon their expertise to their detriment) with no offer of recompense. Maybe the lack of hurry is in performance and customer satisfaction. My 'customer satisfaction' came in writing this review.

[Removed Member Name]we do appreciate your business and we are sorry that you were not satisfied with the results of your purchase. Our records indicate that you signed a contract on October 26th and that you specifically asked that installation be after Christmas if it couldn't be done before December 5th and that's why we didn't install until the first week of January after the holidays. The measurements we took and wrote down for your door are 39x82 which is what I show was relayed to you. The door you purchased was too small for this opening so we could not install it. We offered to take the door back to Home Depot for you and pick up one that got at no additional charge to you and that's what we did. We are sorry that you did not appreciate the experience. We would love to discuss with you how we could have been better.
