A & B Glass & Mirror Service

Buyers beware! A&B Glass is extremely unprofessional. I purchased a Shower glass door 18 months ago. They came twice to install it and it was not cut correctly and could not be installed. We were promised they would have it corrected within 4 weeks. Not a problem. Well that was 12 months ago. The installers seemed to have been hired from Craigslist. I was extremely patient due to Covid issues and being a business owner myself. I understand, However 18 months later I’m frustrated. Within 18 months I’ve called the owner Al at least two dozen times with no turn calls. I would text him and occasionally he would respond. Only to feed us more lies. We had to go to the office on four different occasions to pick out the color of our trim. 18 months later no glass & no trim. I finally sent him a text last week and stated that if he couldn’t get the job done that we would like a refund. We were told to come pick up a check, no apology no consideration for us waiting 18 months and him holding our money for 18 months. The owner Al seems like a really nice guy, beware that’s just a front. How this company is still in business is beyond me.

We thought we were doing a good thing by purchasing locally here in Dunedin. Do NOT use this company. It took them 3 months to cash our final check which really threw off my finances. In addition, I am now having problems with the door and called to ask them to come out. We made an appointment (I rearranged my entire day for it) and they were no show, no call. I called and had to leave a message. No one called me back. My Husband went to their showroom and the "person responsible" wasn't there. And the person who was there was rude and insisted it wasn't his fault and he couldn't/wouldn't help us. It is truly amazing that these business practices have led them to be in business for so long.

When the tech came to measure the master bathroom stall, he said he couldn't do the work because the tile was bowed and it was probably a water leak. We had to call in our contractor to demo the shower. After the shower stall was replaced, the tech came to measure and within 2 weeks we had the door installed.

Had an appointment for parts that were ordred to be installed. My window is inoperable without these parts. Over a month went by from when he came to the house took the broken parts and said someone would call me. Nobody called me and when I called they said the parts just came in and gave me the 4/28 appt. No show, no call. 5 phone calls and no one called me back. I waited a few weeks called and spoke to "Al" who said he would call me back in 5 minutes. That was over a month ago. Still have broken window(I think it's called the riser). The existing windows all leak from the bottoms and they were supposed to reseal when they came to fix the broken parts on the other window. Definately unrealieable and poor workmanship.

The first part is described above. It was OK. The second part - the return visit - never happened. Twice they set a time and then did not show up and didn't call to reset a new time. I had to initiate all the contacts, often by voice mail, rarely returned. This was the only problem I had with them, but it was important because my home was in disarray. I had relocated furniture to other rooms to make a space for handling the large plate glass. I finally picked up the smaller plate they'd made and got a different glass company to finish the job, finally done the same day. Unrelated to that experience, the company has relocated from the address you have on record. It is now at 1008 Broadway.

This is the most horrible experience I have had as a Property Mgr for this particular condo and it was not an easy thing to get the condo completed! It was purchased from the Developer in Feb 2006 and 1 year later I still can't get the screens done properly - despite a ''Pro'' company being hired to make these screen frames! The Developer earlier made the frames too small so they were worthless. Then A & B Glass was given the Sliding door and also told to re-measure (again because they did it once and lost them...) the window frames etc and they PROMISED several times that they would personally contact the tenant to install these screens themselves properly! Instead of that and after 1 year of working with them on this they didn't do that. So now it's another problem... This has been an excruciating experience working with A & B Glass! Please beware!

The person that I dealt with there was not professional. When I went to pick up my glass, she just handed it to me, it was not wrapped in paper or anything!

They had to send it away, they could not do it there. They told me it would be 7-10 days, and it was actually 18 days. They did a good job. I dealt with a woman behind the counter, and when I went to pick up the glass, the woman just handed me the glass without any newspaper or packing. I asked her if she had anything I could put around the glass, and she just said "no" and that was it.

THE PEOPLE AT A&B GLASS & MIRROR SERVICE WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THEY EXPLAINED MY OPTIONS AND HOW TO MAKE MY PROJECT WORK. THEY TOOK THEIR TIME WITH ME AND ONCE I KNEW WHAT I WANTED, THEY MADE IT RIGHT ON THE SPOT FOR ME. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONALISM AND COURTESY.
