Description of Work: Alice began cleaning my house right before Christmas. Her work has been tremendous and she pays attention to detail. We paid $200 for the first time because it was in need of a very deep cleaning. We have a very large house (2100 sf) with 4 BR, 3 Bath. Alice has just been a godsend for our family. We are grandparents raising our granddaughter and not having to clean my house every week has really eliviated the stress and we have more time to consentrate on what's really important in life. Alice cleans absolutely everything (dusts off doors, blinds, louver doors (I have a bunch)). and the house smells and looks so clean from the time she finishes and stays fresh until she returns a week later.

Description of Work: I use Alice Brown Cleaning Service. They were here today. They cleaned everything. I have been disabled for a long time and it is a matter of getting my home when it can be kept. They have been here twice. My house is spic and span. They cleaned windowsills, ran the vacuum cleaner, scrubbed floors and cleaned bathrooms. You could probably fix a meal on the floor. They even cleaned out the refrigerator.

Description of Work: Alice Brown has actually been cleaning our home for three years now. From the first day she started she has done exceptional work with an exceptional attention to detail. This was our second experience with a housecleaning service, and our first left plenty to be desired. We had hired one of the more well known franchise cleaning companies. They sent two people out to clean our home. While I understood that the first time cleaning someone’s home is the most challenging, I was nevertheless appalled at their lack of attention to detail. I ended up having to literally stand over them and point out the many areas they had neglected to clean. Suffice it to say that we were left very unimpressed. With Alice (Who had been referred to us from a friend) we started out with one time every other week cleaning. As we grew more comfortable with Alice (and the therapeutic benefit of coming home to a sparkling clean house) we increased Alice’s visits to once every week. Because we have three teenagers and a large dog at home our house always seems to be in a state of disarray, so we now have Alice clean twice every week! On her Monday “short days” she does everything except for dusting, polishing and cleaning of paddle fans. She does all of that extra detail cleaning on her Friday “long days.” Our house is 2,850 square feet in total consisting of four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a bonus room and home office. On average it may take her three hours maximum on her short days while her “complete” cleaning on Friday’s can take her from 4-1/2 to 6 hours in total. On occasion she brings one of her assistants, to help out. Alice has done an excellent job of training her help, as they have most of not all of the same exacting standards that Alice possesses. Her rates are very affordable, especially as compared to most of the franchise cleaning companies that are out there. In fact, we would never be able to have her come as often as she does if her rates weren't so reasonable. She cleans everything and anything, and will even do laundry if asked. Oftentimes we’ll come home and she’s even emptied the dishwasher and put all of the dishes away, even though we do not consider this as a part of her job description. One of the reasons I think Alice’s rates are so affordable is because we provide her with all cleaning chemicals and equipment. This way Alice is cleaning with the same cleaning supplies that we use and are accustomed to using. After three years we consider Alice like a member of the family. She's been cleaning homes now for 30 years and is very conscientious about her profession. That is a difficult quality to find in someone from this line of work. The family joke is that if we had a spare bedroom and Alice could cook, we’d move her in much like Alice, the housekeeper from the TV show, “The Brady Bunch.” Yes, she’s THAT good!
