Integrity, fast response, technical expertise - I'm not sure you can ask for much more from an electric company. Highly recommend. After a week of dealing with our home warranty company, whose referred company (R and R Electric) failed to respond to multiple dispatches and/or phone calls, we finally called Gulf Coast Electric ourselves. Within three hours of my first and only phone call to Gulf Coast Electric, we had an extremely proficient and honest technician (Dale) at our house; after one hour, all our issues were resolved. The office manager (Judy) was great to deal with, as was Dale.

Great communication skills by everyone at the company--they did what they said they'd do when they said they were going to do it. The folks are courteous, professional, and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone who wishes to have electrical work done here in Okaloosa County!

This was a tough job.....the ceiling electrical outlet for the fan is 28 feet high. The two man crew replaced the old fan that required using a 25 foot A frame ladder. The men were clean, professional and did a very good job. I will use this company again and I do recommend them.

I called 2 weeks prior to service to ask for an estimate for removing and remounting a ceiling fan and installing a new ceiling fan in its place. I was told that the service call will be $69, plus $69/hour for work done. I scheduled the work to be done. The day of service, the electrician called a little before 8:00am (the appt time) to let me know he would be 15 minutes late. I appreciated the phone call! He arrived at 8:15am. I showed him the new fan and existing fan. He said he had never hung a "flush -mount" fan, so I briefly looked at the parts and instructions with him. I offered to put the fan together while he took down and relocated the existing fan, but he preferred to do it all himself. I was concerned about his ability to hang the new "flush-mount" fan. I checked on him periodically and he seemed to be having no trouble. He was very professional and accomplished the job in one hour and 45 minutes. The company estimated the installation could take up to 2 hours. The fan wiring in the ceiling at both locations did not have to be altered, so it was really just a matter of taking two fans down, re-installing one elsewhere, and replacing one with the new one. This takes some time, though, when only one person is doing the job! The fans are very secure and work properly (fan and light) with the two sets of existing wall switches. I think the price was a little high, but I knew the cost before I hired them - no surprises. It was such a good experience, I will hire this company again for electrical work.

Water came in through my ceiling fan and he repaired it, and I had another issue with an outside light and the guy worked on that as well. He completed both jobs within an hour. I would use them again in the future.

The person that came out was very professional. He was very quick about what he was doing as they billed by the hour. He actually fixed some things that the previous electricians had not done properly. I already did use them again.

Checked outdoor ground fault short problem and replaced one plug. Also inspected outdoor landscape lighting and made repair recommendations. The electrician was prompt and professional. Service charged at $80 per hour. good work on time

(UPDATED) Bottom line up front: after some initial delays and miscommunication getting an estimate, GCE did outstanding work. I would highly recommend them. Due to their busy schedule, and some missed phone calls, it took several days and attempts to get an estimator out to look at our house. Once he did, however, he was professional, knowledgeable, and highly responsive. I received a written estimate by e-mail within hours of the visit. The work was quickly scheduled and promptly and professionally performed as promised. Their estimate was very competitive ($1000 less) than an estimate received from the electricians officially sanctioned by Nissan for installation of the EV charging station. Again, highly recommended. I plan to use them for a future expansion project.

The crew came on time to construct the platform for the generator; they worked quickly, efficiently and quietly; they cleaned up completely before leaving. When they installed the generatorit was done in the same way. In fact, when I told them that I was working from home, they took extra pains and used ingenuity to dramatically reduce the length of time the house was without power while they finished the job. Mr. Joiner was the PM throughout and he was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful, and very patient and complete in explaining how to operate and maintain the system. This was a first class consumer experience, and I would enthusiastically recommend GCE and Mr. Joiner to anyone who needs a home power generation system. Job very well done!

Very easy to work with the company. Even with the problems, they responded to my calls fast. They did want us to pay for the guy to come out to fix the first guys mess ups which we argued against....resulting in them not charging us.

All I had to do was to get an estimate in this case. Gulf Coast Electric was competing for a job. They were prompt, professional, and thorough. But my client chose another company based on price.

Showed up on time, explained procedures to me in detail so I had no questions, very friendly, very professional. Told me what I needed to do to prevent any problems. Left me with a few cleaning tablets at no charge. Charged less then what they had originally quoted on the phone.

Our house was built in 1940. We upgraded a few boxes. There was a kitchen remodeling done, so we rewired the kitchen too. It all turned out really well.

They took a few days to reply to voicemail message. But once they did respond, they did the estimate the next day and the job the day after that! It took 1.5 days to complete. A bill notice came in the mail. No hassles. Done right.
