Response from GULF COAST ELECTRIC
Thank you Mr. [Member Name Removed] for taking the time to submit your review of our performance, however we must take exception to your description of what transpired; to include our attempts to follow up with you on numerous occasions. As we have carefully documented, on 9/23/15 we were originally called to troubleshoot your overheating Jacuzzi tub which created your small bathroom fire. Upon arrival our electrician discovered your bathroom to be unsalvageable due to fire damage. At that time our electrician informed you we can return to complete our portion of electrical work in your bathroom, with no additional service charge. Additionally, based on the feedback we received from our electrician, our Service Manager was sent to survey your property (at no charge) to validate the assessment of our electrician. At that time, you were advised that due to the unsanitary conditions of the property, coupled with the inaccessibility of your breaker panel (due to the copious amount of assorted/indescribable material blocking the path) a thorough clean-up of the property would have to be accomplished prior to our return. Contrary to your assertion that we "took too much time and had to call another service company", we had kept your service order on Active status and made three telephone attempts to contact you when we left voice mail messages. These calls were on 10/7/15 at 9:40 AM, 10/14/15 at 8:20 AM, and once again on 10/21/15 at 7:45 AM. Our messages stated that unless we heard back from you, we would close out the service order and bill for our time and electrical assessment of what was required to be accomplished at your property. Mr. [Member Name Removed] please understand we strive hard to exceed the expectations of all of our customers. In that spirit, we believe we went "above and beyond" in our efforts in your case. It is unfortunate your perception of what occurred differs from our own, and we certainly stand ready to pick up where we left off from our last visit. Otherwise, we would appreciate your prompt payment of $147.00 for our services rendered and the advisory role we played in your situation. It is disappointing we learned of your discontent through this forum, rather than replying to our phone messages or our payment reminders sent on 11/4/15 & 11/18/15. Once again, please feel free to contact me, the owner, directly so we satisfactorily come to a resolution.
