+ -1 moreThey advertised themselves as licensed contractors - they are not. He said he knew how to build decks - he does not. They did a horrible job on our deck that cost us over $12,000 and it will still need to be dismantled!!! Just check the County Clerks website and do a search of "The Hartwell Group" and you will see what I mean. Angies list will be doing the public and their members a huge disservice if they do not warn people about this company.
Description of Work: We contracted with them to build a deck in our backyard. This company constructed what amounted to a "tree fort project gone bad"

+ -1 moreLarry Racies has no clue how to build a deck and his business skills are even worse! Stay away from The Hartwell Group and DO NOT give him any money or let him touch your deck!!!
Description of Work: We contracted with this provider for a deck on the back of our house. He claimed to be a licensed contractor and even included a license number in his advertisement. The workmanship was horrible and we paid a lot of money to somebody else to come in and finish the deck correctly. Even though we had a contract that specified the materials and layout of the deck, he changed it on his own in order to save himself money that he already collected from us.
