Richard and his family put the real meaning into "family business." They are extremely good at what they do. They spent three days from November 4 through the 6th prepping and painting the house. They are very detail oriented and pay great attention to all aspects of the job. We would like to recommend them highly to anyone looking for a great paint job at a reasonable rate.

I highly recommend Richard. Timely, professional and knowledgeable. He and his family take pride in their work and it shows. If his schedule is busy, it is well worth the wait.

I cannot say enough kind things about Richard and his family. They were extremely prompt and responsive every step of the way. They completely changed the look of our home with their professional painting services. They were extremely efficient and got everything done in just 4 days! They painted every wall, every door, and every piece of trim in the house (except for the walls in two guest bedrooms). They were very courteous, and I love that it is a family business. After they were done, they walked around with my husband and me and corrected any flaws we saw. They swept and cleaned thoroughly once they were done. I cannot get over how great the transformation of our house is! I would, without a doubt, use them again in the future!

I would highly recommend using Richard Lopez LLC to any type of painting job. From the first time I contacted him he came out to my house within 48 hours and I had a quote emailed to me within 24 hours. When he came to my house to paint he was prompt and very professional. He patched many holes we had on our walls and even applied texture. He finished a very big job in 2 days! We are VERY pleased with his work and price.

The best way to put this: If you need something painted, hire Richard. He painted the interior of my two-bedroom condo. He came out, gave me an excellent price, then showed up when he said he would - and did exactly what he said he would do, and then some. He handled all the little problems that always come up with skill and efficiency, and he completed the job right on time. The results? Nothing short of spectacular. I mean, the place looks better than it ever has, and it is thanks to Richard. One of the best things about him is he pays very close attention to details, as well as handling all of the big picture stuff. On top of his abilities as a painter, he is also just a great guy, always smiling, always upbeat. He is also straight up honest and follows through with everything he says he will do. I could go on and on with praise, because working with Richard was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a contractor of any kind. Hire him, and you'll see what I mean. He is excellent.

Richard was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He showed up exactly as scheduled and sent the written estimate within 48 hours. I had never hired a painter before, and at first I thought "wow, that's a lot of money", but when I thought about all the preparation, draping, masking, etc etc etc I decided to go ahead. Richard answered all my questions promptly whenever I texted or called him. He assured me that he does not sub out his jobs, that his is a family business; I like that. We took all the stuff off the walls and moved the lighter furniture away from the walls. Richard moved the heavy stuff. He had a plan for which order to paint the rooms, but I asked him to reverse order to minimize confinement time for my cats. Richard was happy to accomodate. There were numerous nail holes and defects to repair and he did that flawlessly. The entire job was done over four days and looks super. We couldn't be happier and would happily recommend Richard Lopez LLC to our friends. He is professional, courteous, prompt, and skilled.

Richard and his team exceeded our expectations. They arrived on time and worked diligently until the job was done. Plus, their work and attention to detail was nothing short of outstanding. They completely transformed the rooms - we couldn't find one flaw, which was remarkable given the amount of work that they did. Richard replied promptly to my initial call and every call there after. He was able to provide me with a competitive quote in a timely manner. He followed up as a professional should and did an outstanding job. Richard runs an outstanding family business. I would highly recommend for interior painting needs.

This was a relatively small job--at first just one bedroom. I had called other painters who quoted me a price over the phone. When I texted Richard, he responded immediately and offered to come to the house to see the room and provide a quote. I was impressed that he would provide an onsite quote for a small job. I ended up hiring him to do the bedroom, a hallway, and touch up painting in a bathroom. He came out the day prior to the job to take paint samples. I have seen contractors who show up on the day of the job, take paint samples, go buy the paint, and waste the better part of a day getting ready; but thanks to Richard's organizational skills, he showed up on the day the work was scheduled with everything he needed. Richard made a professional appearance, he was exactly on time, very polite, neat, and courteous. His communication throughout the process was exceptional and the finished job was perfect in every way. He actually completed the job somewhat earlier than I expected and left the house after cleaning up meticulously. He obviously takes great pride in his work. Richard's prices are fair--not a bargain but not too much, either. Considering the quality of his work, I would say that his prices are a great value for the dollar. I will definitely use him again and I highly recommend him to others.

I recently hired Richard Lopez to paint my master bedroom and bath. I did have a few people come in and do estimates before I decided on Richard. He was very prompt to respond to my call and provided me with an emailed quote for the work. He was also less expensive than the other estimates. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, follow up, and responsiveness. He was in touch with me throughout the entire process. I decided I wanted a zero VOC paint and he worked with me to pick the right paint and emailed me a new quote. It was really important to me that the job be finished in one day because no one would be home on the following. He showed up exactly when he said he would and finished quickly. He also made sure to involve me in the painting process. He pointed out areas where the previous painters had overlapped the trim so I could see how he was trying to correct it. As far as painters go, I won't ever look for someone else. He was great to work with, extremely professional and flexible, and did a fantastic job. Thank you Richard!

I had Mr. Lopez come out and give me an estimate for repainting my living and dining room. He was punctual and professional during the estimate and while the actual work was being completed. He did all the work himself and completed it in one day. This included patching some nail holes and applying some new caulk to the base boards. Everything looks wonderful! Very happy with the results and looking forward to the opportunity to using him again in the future.

Mr. Lopez conducted himself in an outstanding, professional manner from the first time he came to our house to give us a quote, until the last day of the week, when the job was completed. He was very thorough in his assessment of our home, answered all of our questions, and pointed out, in exact detail, everything that would be included in his bid, from type of paint to be used, to repairing the caulking, to the special touches needed to the front and garage doors. The job was started and completed as planned, a trait he is to be commended for. As the job progressed thru the week, he stayed in constant contact with my wife, discussing details, which really put her at ease, knowing the job was being done by professionals. At the end of the week, when the job was completed, we did a thorough walk around of our home, and wow, it came out looking so much better than we had hoped. The original siding installer had gobbed the caulking on the nails during installation, leaving an unsightly finish on the house. Mr. Lopez was able to work some magic, and made things perfect. The coverage was perfect, the trim was exact, the doors came out looking brand new. Every bit of the house looks amazing. Kept me informed of his schedule and was spot on when he told me when he would be here and when he would finished. Went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with work. He came as scheduled, and did an excellent job. On his last day he stayed much later than originally planned, making sure every small detail was taken care of. I got three quotes and his price was significantly less than the next lowest quote. I strongly recommend hiring him.

Richard was extremely detailed and professional. He met every expectation we had and I look forward to using him for the exterior job in the next few months. I am late getting my review in, but couldn't let good work pass without making sure it was recognized. Richard was fast to get back to me when I contacted him. He was in great demand so I had to wait a few weeks for him to start, but it was worth it. He used good paint, and worked very hard to get the job done when I expanded the contract to include extra work, (even working into his own vacation plans for me). I had my entire new house painted and it was very low stress. His wife Millie did the trim work, and was amazing at it. The previous painter had been very sloppy with edges so the old paint line continually ran onto the ceiling (which I did not want re-painted), but Millie fixed these areas carefully with a very steady brush. She was very sweet and interesting, and is a professional cake decorator too (also a very detail oriented job!) I was impressed by the dedication Richard and his whole family have to his business. I shopped around quite a bit, and feel I made the correct choice. Richard responded quickly to my inquiries, was concerned about making sure we were happy with everything, and was very hard working. I had painted half the interior of my previous house myself, and am meticulous with paint jobs, but did not have the time for this house. Richard's work was great, his pricing was among the lowest of my quotes, and I will use him again.

Everything went great. Total time was about 3.5 days. Richard gave me a list of all of the things he would do and all of the products he would use and what the purpose was. They began by pressure washing, digging around the house so they could paint to the foundation, and covering all the windows and items that shouldn't be painted. Richard and his father spent a lot of time sealing and patching all of the cracks we had on our stucco. This was a concern of ours because we just moved into the house a couple of months ago and noticed issues with some water was getting in because of cracks in the stucco around the windows. He showed us areas where he thought water may be getting in and showed us how he was going to seal it and the type of caulk he was using. They use high quality Sherwin Williams products for pretty much everything. After sealing everything, they painted with the colors we specified and everything turned out great. They also painted garage door, front door and soffits. You can definitely tell both Richard and his father have been paining for a very long time. Aside from doing a great job on the paining, sealing, etc, one of the other qualities about Richard is his punctuation and communication. He shows up when he says he will and let's you know ahead of time if he can't. If he says he'll get back to you by a certain time, he does.

Richard did an amazing job! Even though they did a lot of work, they managed to do it in just 3.5 days! This included: 1) Pressure washing the exterior. This was challenging because some sections of the wall had deep mold on them, but they managed to get them all cleaned up. I also had a wall that had many marks from the root of a climbing plant that went deep into the stucco that they managed to clean off too. 2) They filled out all the holes and cracks using caulking and elastomeric paint. This includes some long settlement cracks and holes I made in the stucco when we boarded up the house years ago. 3) They sprayed a sealer on all the stucco walls. 4) They painted the soffits and made them look like new. My house have a vaulted ceiling, so it gets high in the middle. They were still able to do a good job with the soffits in the high areas. 5) They painted the body of the house. First they sprayed the paint and then they rolled it. This gave it a beautiful look. The back porch was also painted at this stage. 6) They painted the trim in another color that I selected. 7) They painted the garage door and the exterior of the main entry door. 8) They even repainted the house metal numbers and a badly peeling intercom terminal! Richard's attention to details is incredible. For example, they dug a small trench around the house to take the paint lower than soil level! They also painted one of the AC duct pipes with the house body color to make it blend in! They even painted the sensor lights on the exterior of the house with white color to make them look like new! The exterior main entry door got not one but two hand paintings with a brush which created a beautiful look that I have not seen before! Another amazing thing is the professionalism of the team. Richard and teammate showed up exactly on the date he scheduled about a month earlier! I got plenty of notice via text messaging. Every day he would start very early (they were there by 8 AM). On the day he picked up the paint, he was at the hardware store around 6:30 AM and worked until about 6 PM! I am thankful I found Richard Lopez LLC on Angie's List. I strongly recommend him for your next paining job. Just make sure to get in touch with him early as he tends to be booked weeks in advance. It is well-worth the wait.

Richard is easy to work with, thorough and clean. He did a great job on our exterior.

Richard painted the outside of a two story house. He did 2 coats and also did the ceiling and LOTS of balusters on the wrap around porch. As usual Richard and his crew performed as promised. They are always very polite, punctual and do quality work. I will use them in the future.

I have used Richard in the past and was very satisfied. I had a tall stairwell in my garage that led up to an apartment that needed painted very badly. It was very high, narrow and difficult to use ladders since the stairs were in the way. Everything was performed as promised and he didn't even complain about all the spider webs he had to remove first!
