I sent a request to this contractor to receive a estimate for a repair job on my home. We have a beam that is sagging in our ceiling and it needs to be repaired. Rick responded right away to my request via emai, unfortunately he is unable to help us. It's very discouraging, because I can't seem to get anyone to come out to my home for an estimate. However, Rick was at least professional and kind enough to contact me right away. A+ for response time.

Rick at R & D was quick to respond to my request for a bid on our house build. Of the contractors we contacted, many said they would't "mess" with a house as small as ours (1000 sq ft under air, 1400 total), but Rick treated us just like he would for someone building a high dollar home. He allowed us to choose how much of the build we would like to do ourselves, such as the flooring and kitchen cabinets, etc.. His bid was fair and reasonable, and the most thought-out and complete of any of the bids. I felt as though he he wouldn't later charge us for something "forgotten" as his bid was pretty thorough. His bid was slightly higher than the others, but it also included many work items the other contractors had not included so it turned out to be the most reasonable. Unfortunately, the crazy impact fees imposed from the city and the county (nearly $20K in all) ended up making the build as a cheaper retirement house out of the realm of feasibility. We are not building the house. Based on my interaction with Rick, I would recommend his company to anyone looking for a good, knowledgeable and fair contractor.

I had my sister who lives in Daytona Beach work with Rick on my project. She reported that he was extremely nice and easy to work with. His proposal was very fair and in the end, I would have selected him to do the project if we had gone forward with it. I would recommend anyone looking to build or remodel a home in the Daytona area to check out R&D.

contractor was detailed, friendly and beyond the work expected. He communicated with me on daily bases to keep me posted on how work is flowing. Would highly recommend him.

Project took approximately three months. Rick came every day and performed the majority of the work himself. Completed project was 2010.

Rick did a fantastic remodel of our master bathroom. He was professional and the job was far beyond our expectations.

Rick the contractor arrived as promised daily. Explained all our options and executed his plan as originally specified. The finished product was exactly what we needed and wanted.

I first heard about Rand D Builders through several word of mouth recommendations. People told me they did excellent work at a reasonable price. That said, I decided to hire the company to take out a wall and put up french doors leading to our back yard. The task was not to be taken lightly, as I have an older home which required custom doors and windows. The crew was clean, polite and professional. They addressed all of my concerns and in a timely manner I had a finished product, that I have to admit, was better than I expected. About a year later it was time to replace my roof. With the positive experience from the past, I did not hesitate to call upon Rand D for the job. Once again, their competency was spot on. I even asked the Building Inspectors opinion when he came for final inspection. He confirmed what I already knew, these guys really know what their doing!
