Luke Klischuk was very professional, curteous, punctual and well-schooled. He diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repairs. He was also very thorough and discovered a secondary problem which he will return to complete in the very near future. He was very neat and left our kitchen cleaner that it appeared before he came. Luke called several times as he was running a little late due to an earlier repair taking a bit longer than anticipated. I appreciated his letting me know his schedule and he came at the time he designated. He checked the machine out and determined that it was likely the lid switch that was not functioning. He repaired it and checked the machine again. Machine is working perfectly. No additional charge for the repair; he charged me only for the service call. I would definitely use Luke again for any appliance repair. Very thorough, professional and courteous.

Smart Choice Appliances not only saved the day, but they saved my sanity as well. Last night, I started a load of laundry, and after the machine filled up, it simply stopped working. I was left with a tub of water loaded with clothing and towels. In addition, my husband was hospitalized yesterday, and I was cleaning up after a kitchen and bathroom renovation (with a provider found through Angie's List!), and I have a doctor's appointment of my own this afternoon. This was the only day I'd be home to have the washing machine repaired. I called Smart Choice Appliances the moment they opened, and explained the situation to Christine. They were booked solid, except for a late-day appointment that conflicted with my doctor's appointment. However, Christine worked some kind of magic, and called back to say that Luke would be here for a 9:00 - 11:00 window. I was so grateful I nearly cried. Luke phoned me about 15 minutes before he arrived to say he was on his way. When he saw the machine he knew exactly what was wrong, and he had the part to fix it right in his toolbox. He told me that my washer is one of the best machines ever made, and that I shouldn't have any other problems with it, although this small, plastic part (some kind of switch) did sometimes fail. In addition to repairing the washing machine, he looked at my kitchen appliances, and agreed with me that my 20 year old stove would probably last forever. He noticed that the refrigerator wasn't pushed all the way back in (from the renovations) and he did that for me. He examined my 20-year old dishwasher and told me it would probably be a good idea to replace it because it had a small leak (which I've never noticed) and wasn't worth repairing. He recommended two replacement brands, and told me that the simpler and less expensive models would probably be more trouble-free and last longer. He told me his charge for installing a new dishwasher and removing the old one (because I requested this information), but recommended I ask the supplier whether they had some kind of package deal that included installation. I cannot say enough good things about this provider. They not only responded immediately, with compassion and expertise, to my situation, but Luke offered a great deal of additional guidance and information without any trace of sales pressure. He has the highest level of certification available in the industry. He did part of his training at Sears, when he worked there, and he used to work for one of the general service contract providers that services many of the gated communities in South Florida. I will probably have Luke come back to clean out my dryer vent (if our village doesn't hire someone to do all the units), and I will probably replace my dishwasher and have him return to do the installation and removal of the old machine. By having him do it, I know it will be done right. This company is the best of the best. My Angie's List membership paid for itself today.

I had a 1 year old Whirlpool dryer that started making a very loud noise. I had purchased an Angie's big deal that did not go well. I then called Whirlpool who talked me into purchasing an extended plus warranty. They sent a factory repairman who ordered a part came back 10 days later and said the whole blower motor assembly had to be replaced. Whirlpool called to say that they were not going to honor the warranty and refunded the purchase price of the warranty. That's when I called Luke of Smart Choice Appliance, he answered the phone the first call. I gave him the details of the problem he said he needed to do some research on the dryer and call me back the next day. Which he did, repair would cost approximately $400. Though he was happy to repair it he recommended that I buy buy a new dryer because of the cost to repair was close to the cost of a new one. Wow I was so surprised! He took time to explain the problem and the pros and cons of repair versus buying new. He also recommended what brand of new dryers I should consider. I was so impressed and highly recommend them. I wouldn't call anyone else!

Luke Klischuk did an excellent job in fixing the ice dispenser that we had called him to fix. He subsequently discovered several other problems affecting a good quality but 8-year old GE refrigerator. He had replacement parts on his truck so was able to complete all repairs with one visit. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the repirs made. I would definitely use him again.

Luke repaired my oven after it stopped working right before Thanksgiving. Great Service and Great Job!

Great service. Luke showed up on time and was very knowledgable . He was able to pinpoint the problem along with other issues our 14 year old oven has. This is the first time in many years a service man has come into our home and actually knew his stuff completely! He was even able to give us pointers on what to look for if we decide to purchase a new oven. I would absolutely use this company again and I would ask for Luke. Well worth the service charge.

We had given up on our Sub-Zero because it is 16 years old. The refrigerator was not keeping food cold and it was not making ice. We have had service people look at it in the past, but their costs for repair were ridiculously high. Then I called Smart Choice, based on their great reviews on Angie's List. Now I have a refrigerator that works like new - and all the ice we need - for a reasonable price! I highly recommend using Luke at Smart Choice. We couldn't be happier with his courteous service, and follow-up call to make sure that we were satisfied with the results.

Excellent service! Will definitely use them again

I called Luke to repair my 11 year-old Bosch dishwasher. I explained the problem to him and he and I both came to the same conclusion that the timer module/mother board needed to be replaced. Luke explained that the part was extremely expensive, but that he would research multiple sources for the part and give me an estimate. He called back that evening with a price for the part and labor (over $500) and recommended I consider replacing the machine rather than repairing it. After looking at new models, I've decided to replace it. I feel that Luke went out of his way to help me knowing that the machine should be replaced and that he would probably not make any money from my call. If he gives this type of service to someone without compensation, I'm comfortable that he will do a good job when I do need repairs. That said, the next time I need to service an appliance, I will call Smart Choice Appliance first.

The technician who I believe is one of the owners was fabulous. He did everything in a timely fashion and followed up with a phone call. When I had an additional problem he fixed that as well. Their service is great.

This family owned business is one of the most professional and trustworthy I have encountered in South Florida since moving here from New England four years ago. The owner who came to do the work was punctual, couteous, and clearly knowledgeable about applicances (several years ago, he worked for Sears and completede its training program). In addition, his services were reasonalby priced. I could not reccomend this company more highly.

I found the company to be prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and most important dog friendly. He made sure to call before coming and was well within the time service was promised. The company made sure to follow up to ensure appliances were in working order. As a new home owner, it feels as though I just keep opening my checkbook. However Smart Choice Appliance was very reasonably priced and the gasket for the freezer ended up being less than the original quote. I am very pleased with the service and would not hesitate to use them again and refer customers!!
