Perfect Cooling

Perfect Cooling installed my AC 10 years ago and has been servicing the unit since. I'm not sure what's going on over there but a recent service visit turned into a big headache. The blower motor needed to be replaced again (4th time...) and they could not get the job done. Tech was here on a Friday and said he can get the part on Monday so I went the weekend without AC. Monday comes and I'm calling them to find out when they will be here. "Oh, ahh we need to email you a proposal first". No proposal arrives. I call back Tuesday morning and they emailed it to a wrong address (I'm already in their system so this is weird). I get the proposal and it's high but I agreed and sent it back. Nothing from them all day...no follow-up, no appointment, no nothing. I call them around 4pm and they say " Oh, yeah we have your signed proposal but now we need to locate the part"..(???). I called Carrier Customer Service and the rep said find someone else. The quote is outrageous for a 30 min job and the part is locally available (they checked their system). I called another AC Company who provided a quote for HALF THE PRICE and was here Weds AM with the part in hand. Problem fixed in less than 1 hr. Perfect Cooling is a hot mess. 4 Days & they couldn't get a simple job completed but they were diligent & efficient in sending me a "$130 DIAGNOSTIC FEE" invoice....unbelievable. We will NOT be using them again for any service or when we purchase our new AC system. Do yourself a favor and find another AC company.

Perfect cooling came out to give us an estimate. They installed a brand new system for us that had energy efficiency. The air in the house was noticeably different after they installed the new system. A week after we heard a weird noise and someone came out right away and checked the noise out. They were very professional. They totally restored the attic access after having to take out the trim of the attic access.

They were on time, cleaned up everything. They were very quick and efficient. A globe light was broken during the installation. They tech went to Home Depot, picked up a new fixture and light and installed it for me at no charge. They even built me a see through "T" shaped trap to check for clogs. They hauled away everything once they were done. They even laid down moving blankets on my floor so they did not get it dirty or scratch it. Two weeks after the install, the automatic shut off got stuck. They sent smoeone out the evening I called, blew out the system and left with no charge. I plan on using them again. They even took care of my rebates and warranty registration for me. On the outside slab, they had set it where the unit can breathe and keep it from rusting.

Perfect cooling was on time, professional, and respected my home. They did a wonderful job. Perfect Cooling went above and beyond what I expected in replacing my central A/C unit. No problems at all.

He tried to explain that the problem started the day they did the check up and went away when Anthony found the bad thermostat. He contacted the owner Jean LaMontagne and explained the problem and the $951.39 FPL bill and requested that Perfect Cooling pay the part of the bill that was not part of his usual electrical expense. He refused even though my father explained to him that the problem started on the day of the check up and ended on the day that Anthony found the bad thermostat. The reason for the huge bill was that the original tech never checked to make sure the heaters shut off when they went from heat to cool.

I have this company for maintenance service and when the unit started to leak gas it appeared that the leak was small and the advise was to replenish the gas. I appreciated this as it lasted for 6 months but by then the leak had gotten larger. Fixing the leak would cost around $1000 which was not worth it for a 9 year unit. The initial quote.was provided by the maintenance person (provides great and friendly service) for another more efficient unit than the one I finally obtained was wrong as it was too low. However, the unit I finally had installed was estimated too high and a lower estimate than that provided by 2 other companies for the same unit. On the date of installation they arrived on time and finished on time, very satisfied overall.

They are really responsive. They are always on time. They answer all of my questions and work in a timely manner. They have worked with me in the past. They have fair pricing and do a good quality job.

Overall the install was completed satisfactorily. This contractor needed to be watched from start to finish to make sure the job was done professionally. I had shopped around for a specific AC unit and after the four companies I had asked to come out for an estimate PC impressed me because of the fact that the owner came out and they were the least expensive. They said that they were lean on staff that did dual duty of repair and installs which is why they were the least expensive. When they came out they were polite and had the job done in a day. That was where the savings ended. There were tools left at the job site, and scraps of materials left outside by the AC compressor. I asked for several bolts to hold down the hurricane straps on the AC compressor and it was not done. PC also left chalking all over my painted floor and I had to have them come out to clean up. I had to have them also come back after I had noticed that the box under the air handler had not been rebuilt per my original request. My wife said that it looked like they had a college student rebuild it once they came back out. I decided to clean the floor myself (re: paint) after they made another mess finishing the box. About a week later we noticed the closet under the stairs was leaking. We had PC come back to see what was leaking. Apparently they did not replace an old PVC pipe they had cracked (possibly while rebuilding the box). They were responsive which was the only plus. The air handler was always sweating which seemed unusual so I asked them to chalk it up with clear chalking. After several attempts of chalking with a water based chalk that was not silicone based, the chalk ran since the AC was left on and the chalk unable to dry. The owner becomes condescending as insinuated that he had never had a customer manage a job and make a request like I had. On the contrary, this service company needed to be micro managed at every phase if they are to be recommended.

I requested an estimate from Perfect Cooling over the internet for replacing my home's entire A/C system (both compressor and air handler). I received a call in a timely manner; and set an appointment to meet Pierre Poirier for my quote. Pierre arrived right on time and we discussed all my needs and concerns and using all my previous research over the internet, we were able to come up with a plan that fit everything I wanted.

EVERYTHING WAS SPECTACULAR. THE COOLING SYSTEM WORKS GREAT, AND THE WORKERS WERE PUNCTUAL, RESPONSIVE, AND THE QUALITY OF WORK COULDN'T BE FINER. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
