+ -1 moreJack Wolf has taken about $10,000 of our money to close out/legalize unpermitted work. This nightmare has been going on for about two years now. Recently, he has disappeared. We have called, texted, and emailed him with no response. He's nowhere to be found and left us with open permits, which is the reason we hired him. He is completely unprofessional and a highly recommend you do NOT hire this man.

+ 1 moreWe purchased a home in Pompano Beach in 2018. Since we paid cash we weren't aware that there were four old building permits that weren't closed. When we sold the property in October 2020 new buyers needed financing but could not get a loan on a home with open permits. Closing old building permits with the City of Pompano Beach is very complex and time consuming. Jack Wolf, owner, managed the entire process seamlessly for us--and was able to get old AC, plumbing, mechanical and roof permits handled in just several weeks. Communication was excellent. If you need permits closed Jack is a consummate professional in this regard. He knows how to navigate the City bureaucracy and also has a stable of vendors that can come and effect the repairs needed too. Hands down Jack is an expert in this field of endeavor. Jack is a "10" in my book.

And then I got lucky and found Open Permit Services and Jack Wolf. Jack is a complete and total professional. He responded immediately, explained the entire process clearly, worked seamlessly with the Palmetto Bay Building & Permitting Department and was very reasonably priced. I'm a real estate broker so making my clients happy is very, very important to me; who I hire is a reflection on me and the quality of my own work. If any of my future clients are unlucky enough to have an open permit issue I will not hesitate to recommend Open Permit Services & Jack Wolf.

I made a couple of calls to my local building department who told me the bad news that it had to be closed. Most of the folks I spoke to wouldn't touch this issue with a ten-foot pole. I finally found Jack's company. He did it you took care of the open building permit in charge me a reasonable amount of money I referred him to everyone I know it's nice to know that a resource like this is out there. He explained the steps in great detail and was always available for my many questions. I appreciated his patience and explanations. My home passed in the first inspection even though the item we needed a permit for was installed more than 15 years ago. He made sure that one of his team members came out to take pictures and do a mock inspection to resolve any issues that would have come up during the city inspection. I am very impressed by Jack and OPS.

+ 0 moreOWED A REFUND OF $925 I hired Jack Wolf from OPS to close out a permit for one of the properties I manage. I paid $1500 up front. Within 24 hours I advised Jack via email and via phone call that the property had sold/closed cash deal and the buyers were purchasing it with all of its skeletons. He told me I owed him $575.00 for a research fee (WOW) and that I would receive a refund of $925. This was in the beginning of April. To today, he has not responded to my emails since 04/15 and he doesn't answer or reply to my text. Very unprofessional!

I doubt anyone else even the inspectors were in awe of how fast he got the job done. Great work Jack Wolf i won't forget you .. Norman Eisenberg PA PS DON;'T FORGET TOO THAT THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY WAS SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THIS ANGST.. I DOUBT ANYONE ELSE COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE JOB DONE THIS QUICKLY AND INEXPENSIVELY. (NORMALLY TO RE INSPECT A HOME AND GET A PERMIT LET ALONE 4 PERMITS WOULD RUN IN THE AREA OF $500 EACH SO I PAID A BARGAIN PRICE.
Description of Work: i needed to clear up some open permits from 15 years ago that prevented me from selling my house and was given Open Permit Services name to contact. Not only did they respond immediately but they kept me updated on every single step they took, explained it perfectly and then sort of held my hand all the way thru the entire procedure.. It seems that there were 4 open permits that were never closed (signed off on by an inspector) and how i was able to purchase this home 14 years ago i will never know. but i did and obviously someone missed the 4 permits being open. Anyway, I paid a retainer and within 2 hours OPS, got me all the data i needed, told me what i had to do to clear up the permits and i followed their instructions to a T. By doing that everything worked perfectly and one by one the permits were closed and in a matter of 5 days i can now proceed with the sale of my home. Thank you OPS, i will shout your praises on the mountain tops and tell everyone i know that if they have permit problems to contact OPS,. and to ask for Jack Wolf.. that was my contact and i can only speak for him and he was great 5 star, very professional, on point and got the job done. + -1 moreAs a Realtor, this is the third time that I've used Jack Wolf at Open Permit Services to assist in closing out a permit that was either open or expired. This last expired permit situation was quite complex since this permit had expired in 2000 and was related to concrete joist repairs underneath a home. He was so knowledgeable, professional and fast that the permit issue was resolved faster than the attorneys, sellers, buyers or the Realtors involved ever imagined. He's just the best around. I would enthusiastically recommend using him. There is no question that I'll be using him again when confronted with another permit issue.

The closing went through on schedule and I am one happy client. I would not hesitate to recommend Open Permit Services for anyone having this problem selling their property or purchasing a property. Job well done!
Description of Work: I had an open permit which I was unaware of on a new home I purchased in 1994. I was in the process of selling the home when the open permit showed up. Since I no longer live in the area, I had no idea how I was going to take care of this situation. I called Jack Wolf at OPSMiami and he gave me the low down on what the procedure would be to hopefully get the permit closed. There were many scenarios and none of them sounded good since the permit was so old and had expired.

+ -1 moreI am not very happy with the outcome of this company. A few months ago, we contracted Jack Wolf to do work on the house. We had an addition that needed permit work, as well as some general contract work. Unfortunately, we are now in the process of selling the house, so we will not be needing his services. He came out twice to the property (both times collecting money). He made a couple of phone calls to our architect but no ACTUAL work was done to the house. We paid him over $2,575 for a project that was not even started. When I called him to explain that the house was going up for sale, he told me that he would see how much he owed and send me a check, that due to the Holiday's he would get back to me when he could. This was back at the beginning of December 2014. Since then, he has not returned any of my calls and has not refunded our money. He has also NOT answered any of my emails nor text messages. Do not trust this company and if you do, definitely do NOT give him so much upfront.
Description of Work: Jack Wolf was contacted to do some work on our property. He was suppose to take care of some permitting issues we had with an illegal addition on the house.
