Novateck and it's owner Rosemary Monteiro is the worst kitchen, bath and flooring designer and contractor in Palm Beach County and beyond. As a former real estate portfolio manager for over 25 years and overseeing over 5,000 residential units, I have never encountered a more incompetent and dishonest person and company. From mismeasurements, poor quality products and unqualified, unsupervised non-english speaking installers to repeated delays and work stoppages and pathological lying, I had to fire Novateck and complete the project with another contractor and purchase missing materials that I already paid for. They absconded with thousands of dollars of deposit monies. With kitchen and bathroom and flooring companies on almost every corner, I would implore everyone to speed by their location in Delray. Rosemary turned my project into a nightmare. I am in the process of suing Novateck to recoup the monies paid to them for materials paid for and not received, horrendous workmanship that required complete reinstallation of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. They also ordered unecessary and unused installation materials to jack up the price. They ordered the cabinets unassembled by the cabinet factory to increase their margins yet had no clue how to properly assemble them. Don't just take my word for it, look at the other reviews as

Three vanity tops not measured correctly and had to be redone after being installed. Shower pan not installed correctly and had to be redone. Multiple plumbing issues. The drywall preparation was never completed and had to finish ourselves. The company uses so many contractors. The plumber was NEVER on time In fact no one was ever on time.

We decided to remodel kids bathroom, got an estimate from Novateck in 2013 and decided to go with them. Rosemary came out for an estimate. She quoted us $300 more for custom vanity then she did last year and we agreed to that. We also decided to get our own tile, all plumbing and electrical parts. The agreement was for Novateck to totally renovate our bathroom. We wrote a check for $3000 so they can start the job. They quoted us 2 weeks to complete the job. On Monday 2 workers showed up at 1PM instead of 9am as agreed and demolished everything in the bathroom, everything was removed. Next day 1 person showed up to install some new drywall and bath surround. No one the next day, on the fourth day plumber contractors showed up at 4pm and installed shower pipes, toilet pipes and such. Novateck was aware of the tile that we had (thick tile) plumber installed shower valve to deep and had to get extension. Next day 1 tile installer showed up and started installing tile, he did a very good job, although a little slow. Took him 5 days to finish tiling the whole bathroom. After he was done 1 person delivered vanity and started assembly, when he installed vanity it did not line up with the wall or vanity top. Vanity drawers were all out of alignment. He spent whole day just aligning the vanity and then proceeded to install shower door. After he was done he claimed that the job was completed and we should give him the second half of the payment. We told them that Novateck need to install towel holder, toilet paper holder, curtain rod and mirror to finish the job. He left promising to return the next day. Next day we received calls from Rosemary and Fernanda from Novateck, claiming that they do not need to reinstall holders, rod and mirror since they were not specifically mentioned in the contract. We argued that since they removed those items and agreed to a full bathroom renovation they need to reinstall those items. Next day installer showed up with the owner, Ricardo. They came at 4pm on Friday night. They aligned vanity drawers again, they also installed both holders and curtain rod. The mirror was not ready and Ricardo told us to call them when it is ready to be installed, that he will personally come and install the mirror. Taking this at good faith we paid them the second half of total bill. The whole job took 3 weeks instead of 2 promised by Novateck. A week later we found the mirror that we liked and I called Novateck, speaking with both Rosemary and Fernanda. They flatly refused to install the mirror, and refused to pass the message to Ricardo as promised. I also informed them that vanity drawers were out of alignment again and some residue was visible on the tile (we tried cleaning, but it did not work). Both Rosemary and Fernanda started screaming at me, telling me that I'm making it up and no one from Novateck would step foot in our house again. They were both screaming and hurling insults at me. We contacted local BBB and asked them to intervene, Novateck replied that the job was finished per contract. Apparently they never heard of customer satisfaction. I would like to urge anyone considering this company, to stay away. We had horrible experience, and now we will have to hire someone else to hang the mirror, professionally clean the tile and align vanity drawers.

There was never a contract for full renovation of this bath room, a full renovation will include paint, and fixtures. Customer contract Novateck to install tile, vanity and light fixture. Customer made installer install fixtures like towel rack and window treatment that was never discussed. I don't know where he got the idea that he had paid for a full renovation when he refused the paint and fixture installation charges. After all job done he made installer to install a bunch of fixtures and window treatment in order to pay the final balance. This customer also had a standart shower door installation on his contract , and he borrow a frame less shower door , with is a lot more complicated to install. Novateck also had to buy plumbing to replace old pieces that was routed in side the wall. He refuses to pay back and said that was part of the job, that was never part of the job because we couldn't predict that this pieces had to be replaced , he knew that , but he didn't care. Customer also used old defective counter top and faucet . Novateck advise customer that the old counter top was defective and the old faucet maybe wouldn't work properly for the same reason. Novateck lost money on labor and material at this job , this is the worse customer that we ever had , they are taking more and more advantage of dealers , when they are ridiculous tip. There was never contract for full renovation a full bath room renovation would be much more and include more . We are at the same location for the past 9 years, and customer satisfaction and fair business is our main goal . We serve the same communities like Hunters Run, Banya Springs, Broken Sound to name few for years, we would not had survive if we wasn't honest business people . Please fell free to contact me if you have question or concerns. Thank you Rosimeiri Monteiro

We had Novatek do our hard wood floors 3 years ago and at the time, dealt with minor frustration and empty promises, but overall were ok with the completed look. However, after about 1-2 years we noticed the wood was buckling and getting a weird bubbling in the surface. We found out that they had installed it wrong, and did not put any sealant or moisture barrier under the floor and just glued the wood directly to the concrete. This was the cause of the problem. However, Novatek would never admit that they did anything wrong. They do admit that this is how they have always done it! Ask any floor person in Florida, and they would tell you that you cannot do this because of the moisture trapped inside concrete will absorb into the wood. So why did we go back?? Well, we didn't plan to. We had hired another company to do the kitchen remodel, but they only do design, cabinets and countertops. They brought in Novatek to do the general contracting work. At first, I was appalled, but when I explained that I was not happy with them because of the floors, they convinced me that when they changed the wood floors they would send samples to the manufacturer and get me a credit because it was a manufacturers defect. This was the only way I would get any money back for my 3 year old $12,000 wood floors. However, I was paying for the new job and tile in the mean time. At first, they send in the owners, Rosemary and/or Ricardo, to do the estimate. You tell them what you want. They say of course and give you an estimate. When the job begins, you had better make sure everything you said that they agreed with is specifically itemized on your estimate! Mid-job they ran out of tile and told me I had to buy more! I said that wasn't my fault they can't measure but they said we weren't supposed to do the laundry room. They absolutely were all along and they knew it, but this was the first of many excuses. They had only listed a sq. ft. estimate of tile on the original estimate so there was nothing saying what rooms we discussed. Once the job starts, you never see the people you set up the job with, and good luck trying to talk to them. Their workers have no supervisor so even though you are paying to have the job done, you better be prepared to be the project manager! They say they'll be there the next day to do something, you might not see them for a week. They never call back and the people in the office are trained to say, "oh, I'll call to find out what's going on, and call you back." They never do. They advertise free baseboards with new floors and all of a sudden I got a bill for new baseboards! W**??? We agreed to under cabinet lights, but they said not and it wasn't specified on the estimate so I had to get them myself. Then, they wanted to charge me also to install them, and they still don't operate properly. You can't communicate with any of the workers. They all speak Brazilian. They will be the first to tell you the frustration about the lack of guidance they are given by the owner's who set up the job and spend weeks at a time on their fabulous ranch in central Florida. Let's talk about quality. They ask me where I want the light switches. I come home to find the kitchen light switch in the laundry room...does that make sense? Its surely not where we discussed, but can it be moved? No. Once they do it wrong, the excuse is that is the only way to do it. They left 1.5" gaps where the tile stopped before the baseboard. I bought a beautiful copper sink and it was installed wrong. The faucet is all wobbly and makes a terrible noise. When I was cleaning up the mountain of garbage they left in my house after the job was "complete" in their eyes, I found the base of the faucet and the silicone to be used for installation still in the box!!! No wonder it isn't right. I can't even begin to cover all the wrong things I just dealt with because the fight was ridiculous. I had had the exterior of my home painted right before the renovation, and they splattered grout and thinset on my house. They said, oh we'll fix it when we're done, but did that happen no! Did I mention I had to haul away all their garbage? And there is still old baseboards with nails sticking straight up lying on my garage floor. Oh, and the account credit for my old floor, the reason I allowed them to do this job in the first place? The manufacturer said it had nothing to do with the floor, but did Novateck take ownership and say they did anything wrong, NO! Did they give me a cent towards it? No! They did give me another bill, telling me that they had to do extra work that wasn't on the estimate that they needed payment for. Unbelievable! How are they in business?! They won't be if I have anything to do with it. Overall, I've never experience a company with worse customer service, worse quality, worse communication, time management, pricing, accountability, and personalities. I don't use hate lightly, but I hate everything and everyone to do with this company. Save yourself before you consider giving them a penny. Feel free to waste their time and torture them the way they delight in doing to their customers. I didn't even mention this job started April 1, was supposed to be 4-6 weeks, and after August 6, we just gave up and let them leave all of their issues just to quit dealing with their lies and incompetence.

I never had a phone call from this customer about the first job problem or the second. We did her job and her sister's job at the same time, we always deal with her father with is a gentleman and her husband . We finish the job at satisfaction and never heard about this customer anymore. I think customer should first contact dealers about issues and give dealers opportunity to fix the issue before make a formal complaint. All that I can say is the twice this customer never give as the opportunity to look at the complaint , if there is one. Her sister seems to be very happy and she got the same service . Please contact me Rosimeiri Monteiro if there is question or concerns. Thank you

If you are looking to buy tile and considering Novateck Decor Center, please read this. It may save you some aggravation. My wife and I went into the store today to purchase tile around 12:15. After paying for them with my MasterCard, I noticed that they charged me $80.00 for freight, which I was never told about. Only buying only 32 tiles, I thought the shipping charge was a bit excessive at $2.50 per tile. I asked about this and the clerk told me it was a flat rate, whether the order was 50lbs. or 5000lbs. I told him that I never heard such a thing. At that point I said not to place the order until I called him later in the day. I discussed this charge with others and was told it was no true. The charge should be by weight, not flat rate. It was twice the amount other stores would charge for the same tile. I called the store back at 3:15, only 3 hours later, and said to cancel the charge and not to place the tile order. He told me that they would have to charge me a credit card service fee. Never heard of that either. Then he said I would have to come into the store with my card. Told him I'd be there in 15 minutes. When I arrived I was told that the boss would not authorize the cancellation and I would only get a store credit. Never heard of that either. Remember, the order was never placed, just authorization of the charge. Boss wouldn't be there till tomorrow to talk to and I won't be in town tomorrow. Said no refund, only store credit. At that time I had nothing to return, since the order was never placed. I called the credit card company and started the dispute process since I already had their answer. Seems like a shady way to do business. Shop at your own risk.

They used to be very good and had about three different locations. But they sold the business and I would not use them now. When they came out to give me the estimate they were rude and nasty. They wanted a $5,000 deposit. The job was only about $6,000 in total. I do not like the new owners or the way they do business. Their customer service experience was bad. They might have been a little high on the estimate but still in the ballpark. They were also a little slow to respond. They had a problem with their phone number as well.

Novateck ownership had not change on the past 9 years. We are the same people , we had 2 show rooms in Delray Beach and we dice to combine them at one big show room with over 5000 sqf. Deposit varies by the order, any special orders or custom made items need to paid in full in advance. AT the regular orders we require 30% at the signature date, 30% at the start date, and 40% at the end, when job is complete and customer satisfied.

Novatek is a family run company. The owner is Brazilian and had many talented workers from his country that he contracted with for the manyjobs i had. His wife was the Project Manager, and helped to speed the project along for me, as I was doing it as a surprise for my husband. The entire job was completed within 3 weeks time. There were only a 2-3 times that communication failed and I was lefft waiting for workers that never came or came late, otherwise I was kept company on a daily basis with polite orderly workers! In all, I think that this small family run buainess has a work ethic that is out of this world , a heart of gold, and pays attention to detail. The work was excellent, and any that wasn't perfect, they came back and fixed. My kitchen is very small but somehow they created more space with their selection and placement of cabinets. It is terrific. But, these volatile economic times must have been h****** them, because there was one unprofessional moment on the day the project was completed when I was interrupted during an evening while showing off the condo to friends I hadn't seen in years by an insistent phone calll frrom the wife (Project Manager) looking for a payment. The job was completed that afternoon and I had made several other payments. But even when told I had company and would call in the morning with payment, she insisted. I thought it was bad form and unnecesary. But forgivable in the face of their excellent work and their general warmth and congeniality!
Description of Work: I had contracted with this company to install my flooring (see other review) and while working with them was impressed with the breadth of their company's service's and products. So, I contracted for: 1. painting my entire condo 2. installing ccrown molding throughout 3. upgrading baseboard 4. leveling florida-room floor 5. kitchen cabinets 6. granite countertops 7. installation of new appliances 8. new sink an faucet 9. installation of shutters

This was a HORRIBLE experience. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
Description of Work: Initially I went in to their store to do flooring, kitchen and bath but ended up only doing bath. Felipe was very patient trying to help me choose a wood floor. I finally chose one but they didn't have the color sample I wanted so I went to another retailer. There I found out my floor would have been installed wrong (I need a cork underlayment and you never glue the wood to it which is what Novateck planned to do). They tried to pressure me into it by telling me the price was only good for 1 day and they gave a really low price which I found didn't include everything. Thank God I bailed on that!Unfortunately I also had her do a kitchen estimate. When I sat down to go over the estimate Rosemary (the owner) had Thermofoil cabinets on the estimate. I had specified wood the entire time. She said I could have the wood and took a $5000 check from me. She cashed it that day. The next day I just had a bad feeling about the whole thing and I emailed her to send me a refund. I even told her to keep $500 for all the time and energy she and Felipe put in. She refused to refund my money (which I come to find out is against FL law). After several calls I agreed to do my small bathroom with her so I wouldn't lose my money. BIG MISTAKE! She did an estimate for me which came to a little over $5000. We agreed to start the project on July 5. On the morning of the 5th I got a call stating the installer had a car accident. I asked for them to come the next day and they declined so I rescheduled them for the 10th. Ricardo (the owner) came and checked everything out and I showed him my fixtures and vanity. They came and demolished my bathroom throughout the day. They installed water resistant board around my bathtub. The tiler came the next day (and I have to say I was pleased with him). An electrician came and wired my lighting but did not install my lights (which was included on the estimate). I did not realize when we did the estimate that wood baseboards are not usually done on bathrooms so I asked the installer to put tile baseboards in (I went to Home Depot and bought more tile myself). Rosemary called me to question this and tell me it would cost more. Then she asked me if I was doing the kitchen and the floor with her. I said no. At that point she said she didn't know when she would be able to send the tiler back to finish my job. She also said plumbing wasn't included in my estimate! They finished the tile around the tub without doing the plumbing! They never stopped and said we aren't doing the plumbing now's the time to get the plumber, they just didn't care. They left me without my vanity installed, no sink, faucet etc. and no working tub or shower! And she say's I owe her $94! She also said my tile was from TX and charged me a shipping fee and it was from Home Depot! These are veryyyyy shadyyyy people! BEWARE!I also had asked them to remove my windows and sliders between my balcony and LR/DR. Ricardo said no problem this is just a few screws and it would be no charge. Well my new GC removed everything for me and it was a 5 day job. Wonder how much they would have hit me for then. It seems to me they lowball the estimates leaving things out to hook you. Do not give any cash or checks to these people. You will have no recourse.

A friend of mine used them and I basically went on her recommendation. I didn't particularly like the way they did business and it was my own fault, I gave them a deposit. I asked her about the Angie's member discount and she didn't know anything about that. Then I said how about a discount for cash, not cash cash, but a check. She said well I have to have it right now, I said I didn't have it with me right now but I'll send a check in the mail then she said no. So I gave her my credit card and I walked outside and in the window it said 6 months financing no interest but she couldn't wait 2 days for a check so I was annoyed at myself. I didn't care for the way they operated that way. Then they told me at the last minute they weren't coming that day because the wrong thing came in and I was furious because I had to undo my entire house, moved everything out of two rooms but they did show up in time then stayed till they finished. The guys did a very nice job they really did. There was a minor problem and they did come back.

I would not use Novatek Floor again. The guy that came here seemed knowledgeable but they sent a different person to install the floor. This guy supposedly had 20 years of experience but I had to go in and tell him multiple times to cap together the floor joists. There were large gaps. If I hadn't really been on him, it would've been a very, very poor job. And then they came back to do a job on our staircase, which they were suppose to do the same time they installed the flooring in the bedroom. Well, there was a large piece of wood sticking up. I had to correct part of what he did. I didn't realize he also covered up another area that he messed up until later.
