Hired them to paint a small room, fix a leak and replace damaged laminate flooring(from the leak). Jay could not detect the leak and replaced the flooring anyway which warped within a week. I finally found a plumber who fixed the leak and hired someone else to finish the floor. The painting was very good.

Do not expect to get a written estimate, a work order, anything showing Jay's company name with deposit (which he will ask for before work begins, nor any subsequent payments. Before third payment was made on his last day of job I insisted on something in writing showing that I had given him eleven hundred dollars (1,100) for labor only and $56.02 for paint and wood that he purchased on last day for my security gate on 4/27/2017. When he received $400 on 4/26 in addition to the $100 he asked me for on 4/20/17 I told him that I wanted him to give me a receipt on his letterhead. He said when he got home that evening he would do that. It was e-mailed to me before he returned. He knew on 4/26 that he needed to pick up paint for the interior door. He told me that they would be at my home at 8:30 am Friday. His helper arrived at 9:00 am. I don't know what time Jay came. Since he had not given me anything with his company logo except the $100 deposit, I told him I would not give him the remaining six hundred dollars ($600) without an itemized list of what he did and the dates and amounts that I paid him. He said I would get it at the end of the job. He gave me a generic receipt with the date, With my name and address on it, no customer order number in the space provided, job description, Total $1157.00, which was actually $1156.02. I could not understand one of the letters he had printed several times and asked him about it and determined it was an I. He asked me to sign it. I did what he asked. upon later inspection, I saw that the line he asked me to sign on is titled RECEIVED BY ______________________. Slick. It reads like I did work for myself and paid myself $1,157. I've talked to him the same evening about painting kit that I supplied that was no longer here and he said Wes must have put it in the back of my truck. We are not finished with the floor . It his going to be sealed by the person who is using the room. I know for a fact that all of the rollers that were in that kit were not used. I saw that the frame for the security gate was not plumb. I will send you the e-mails between he and myself so you can see clearly what happened since 4/27/17. I did call Colorado to speak to someone in Customer Solutions. The first contact I made put in a expedited call back request from me. No one called back Friday. I have called three other companies Upper Level, Precision Fence & Gate (who constructs the gate and fence but you must install yourself) and a third company that does inspections that has not called me back yet.
