+ -1 moreI had just moved to the area and wasn’t sure where to start. Mr. Handyman was superb but very expensive. It costs $150 to come out plus hourly fee with a minimum of 3 hours. The guy who came out wore footies in the house, so he was not to get the floor dirty. He hung every picture, every mirror, every light fixture, wall sconces and he even moved some small pieces of furniture for me. He would measure five times before he put a hole in the wall, making sure he would never have to put more holes in the wall than he needed. He had a lot of equipment on his truck and if he did not he would go get the materials needed. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I had Mr. Handyman out to do some work when I moved to the area.

+ 7 moreRichard was always prompt and worked long after his quitting time. He was quick with suggestions when ever the job would hit a snag which it did at times because of fitting the modern units into my vintage home, and he did this seamlessly. There was also the pressure-washing of the drive way, and side walk. Richard even worked in the rain doing this- - -very dedicated. Richard also went shopping with me rented a truck, and drove my materials home for me. I really appreciated this, seen that I live in The Bahamas. He even took all the old vanities, and garbages to the curb. When it was all finish, it felt like my wife and I was say good by to a family member. I was really pleased and would use them again- - -in fact, they are now my repair people for all my household need. Mr. J. Hollingsworth
Description of Work: I was very pleased with "MR. Handyman" I feel they went above and beyond the call of duty in the multitude of repairs and remodeling they performed in my home. 2 closet doors were repaired. Removed old, and replaced new (guest bath) vanity in which Richard had to performed "retro-fitting" many times in order to achieve uniformity with the modern vanity and the vintage fixtures. Replaced molding in guest bath. Repaired front, hall, and master doors, removed and replaced 2 lights in family room, install ceiling-fan in master bedroom, removed old, and install new base boards in living room, repaired 2 sliding-glass doors, repair screens for sliding glass door, removed old dishwasher, and installed new one. Glue legs on antique lamp stand, removed old and replaced new air conditioner in master bedroom, also framed and trimmed. Removed old, and replaced new vanity in master bedroom, repaired shut offs. Removed old and replaced new plywood shelve in laundry room, repaired faust in sink in laundry room. Replumb water supply and drain on the left side of kitchen sink, reset air conditioner that was not working, install curtain rod, and 2 mini blinds in bedroom 2, and bedroom 3. Repair window crank in kitchen.

+ 1 moreEric, the "handyman" arrived promptly, explained in detail what he was going to do, and provided me with a time estimate to complete the items on the "to do" list. The job was little more involved than originally anticipated. Eric traveled to Home Depot twice to secure the correct parts (the parts we had purchased were not adequate). Our total bill was $697. The following day I received a telephone call from VJ regarding the work performed. He explained the problems Eric encountered when repairing the outside facucets, which required the two trips to Home Depot. He apologized for the additional expense and offered to credit me $132 (1 1/2 hours of labor). Throughout the entire process, VJ and his associates were professional, punctual and honest and the work completed was exceptional. I would highly recommend The Handyman.
Description of Work: I contacted VJ Singh at Mr. Handyman for a quote for several small projects (repair two outside faucets, recaulk a bathtub, restore power to an outlet located in the garage). His initial response was timely, and professional. I received a return phone call the same day and a written proposal the following day. Typically, Mr.Handyman charges an hourly rate + parts. My estimate was approximately $500.

+ 0 moreRichard showed up on time, quickly assessed the problem, replaced the lower two feet of the jamb on each side. The hinges were all replaced, old tired window stripping was replaced, any necessary Bondo repairs to the door and surrounding areas was carefully repaired, primed and painted. A new passage set and lock were also installed. The work took six hours--but we don't need to replace the door. The work looks neat and complete. We are very pleased. Thank you, Richard!
Description of Work: Exterior door to patio/pool area was damaged as a result of water/poor initial installation. It was rotted at the left & right jams. The lower hinge had moved as a result of the rot and the glass/wood door had water related damage in several areas.

Description of Work: Eric arrived on time and performed variety of jobs. Hung towel bars and grab bars, cleaned up under a leaky sink and fixed the leak. Several small electric jobs, solved problem with broken built in bookcase, fixed curtain rod racket. Theses were varied tasks of varied difficulty, but required a lot of time. Jobs were competed and dealt with systematically. Cleaned up after jobs completed. Price was reasonable considering the time required.

He respected my property and did a great job leaving the work site just a clean as he found it. He installed the light fixture in a timely manner and patch on the dry wall was done very professionally. Overall I had this was a great experience.

When they took the sink out there was something that had gone into the sink trap and I was kind of worried about but they gave that back. So they were very honest and were awesome.

The first two or three times I used them, I thought their pricing was reasonable, but I think the final bill on my most recent experience was very expensive.
